What’s special about guardians of the galaxy as well is I think it manages to walk the fine line of having death be present and something that could very much happen to our main characters but also choosing to keep them all alive at the end of the trilogy. Not only is it nice to see finished arcs but I’ve never once felt as if the stakes were not high in these films and could not result in a main character death. James Gunn does a good job at showing he isn’t afraid to go there with what happened with Yondu at the end of gotg 2 (and providing a very meaningful death to him beneficial to his arc) and to an extension even shows this with rockets friends (lyla teeths floor) in the third film. I 100% felt as if multiple guardians would die I’m this film and whilst it did come close everyone made it out okay! This is a change from what we see in previous media where the line has pushed to one side too much where it can get annoyingly repetitive and boring because there is no tension or, death can happen too frequently that it’s a joke.

Dating Gamora would include:
Tumblr media
Gamora is beyond protective. She is willing to cross entire universes to save you from danger, and after all you've been through together, you're more than willing to do the same.
She's not one for personal displays of affection, but in private, Gamora is able to show how much she cares outside of committing violent acts toward those that even slightly look at you the wrong way.
She's a hand holder.
Holding your hand is as far as she gets to showing affection toward you in public, and when things start to get dangerous whilst defending the galaxy she's gripping your hand in hers so she knows you're there with her.
She likes to spoon at night, and she doesn't mind whether she's the big or little spoon as long as she's near you.
It's commented on by the rest of the crew just how cute the both of you are, and Peter makes sure to mention every longing glance that you and Gamora send each other.
Gamora likes giving gifts, and she's always finding little things to give you.
"I saw this and thought of you."
The two of you sometimes play cards late at night at the back of the ship. A small lamp light between you as you deal each other in.
It's one of the sweet things the two of you get to do when alone, which isn't often considering the company you keep.
It always surprises you to find that Gamora can remember your anniversary off the top of her head.
She can recall the date instantly, as if it's the most important information she can ever provide.
And you find it cute.
"How could I forget anything to do with you?"
When you first got together, she kissed you first.
Peter had been pestering her about her possible feelings for you for months beforehand, insisting that you felt similarly until she finally got up the guts to do it.
She kissed you in the middle of a mission, whilst you were mid-sentence about who-knows-what.
But when you kissed her back it was a huge relief.
She'd never understood what Peter meant about butterflies in the stomach until that moment, and truthfully she thought she was going to die.
But at the same time, she definitely did not want to stop kissing you, even if it did kill her.
Gamora also likes hugs, though she won't often admit it.
The feeling of having someone she cares about holding her and the fact she can keep them just as close is important.
It comforts her, and sometimes she finds she has to pull you away from whatever you're doing just to give you one.
She'll brush it off later like it didn't mean as much as the embrace implied, but it does mean everything to her.
Knowing that you're there, safe and near her, and that you are also willing to provide her with the company and comfort she seeks makes her feel content.
You braided her hair once.
She loved it, and upon occasion, she'll mention the way her hair keeps falling into her eyes, how it irritates her when it's in the way, hoping you'll offer to do it again.
And contray to popular belief she does like to dance, though she won't be caught dead doing it by anyone other than you.
And she loves dancing with you, swaying to Peter's favorite tunes when no one else is around.
It's enough to remind her that not everything in the galaxy is bad and that she's safe in the moments she spends with you.
"Just one more song, and then we'll get back to work."

Ok since the trilogy is over...
what is Gamora’s most romantic line and why is it: “If it turns out he’s evil, we’ll just kill him?”

GOTG 3 Spoilers
The guardians of the galaxy 3 showed that even though this team consider themselves family none of them are unhealthily co dependent on each other. It’s nice to see each of the guardians have their own friends and skill sets to bring to the team and share with others. From rocket being team leader to Gamora and the ravagers, as well as Mantis freeing herself from the golden cage that ego made for her and learning to grow independence and confidence to stand on her own. Each of them see each other as family and will find their way back to each other but they have grown enough to be okay! They have grown enough to make multiple other connections and friendships and goals. It’s so far from where they came from when the core of the guardians fought each other in prison and were constantly watching their own backs and working alone.

Hear me out, Guardian of the Galaxy/Encanto crossover.
After running away from home after being bullied by the village kids for being the "giftless" Madrigal. When she wonders out of the Encanto she stumbles into a strange building where she thought she could cry a little. However it turned out that building was actually the Guardians spaceship and now they have a child to take care of
Aaaahh! Thank you!
Note: This takes place after the first 2 Guardians films, but before Infinity War...
Enjoy!
After her gift ceremony, Mirabel got treated quite badly by the family….
Alma saw her as a burden. Pepa would snap at the child often for just being there, seeing Mira as a giftless annoyance to deal with while Félix turned a blind eye. Julieta, Agustín and Luisa were too busy helping the town to make time for Mira. Isabela and Camilo avoid her like the plague (which Mira is in their eyes), and Dolores was too busy with her own problems and struggles. They'd all later regret this...
And it didn’t help that the town saw the girl as useless as well, the townships bullying her while the adults turn a blind eye…
It made Mira sad. She just wanted her family to love her and be nice to her, but they weren’t…
It all came to ahead one day when Mira got picked on by the towns kids again, taunting and insulting her for not having a gift. The adults, including some of the Madrigals, heard all of this, but didn't do anything, turning a blind eye while they're busy with their own chores/problems.
5 year old Mira asked the kids to stop, ready to burst into tears. But they didn't stop, instead insulting her even more and throwing stones at her...
Mira ran away, trying to avoid the stones being thrown at her while the kids chase her.
The 5 year old girl ran out of town, managing to lose the bullies but still having been hit by a few stones.
Being on the verge of tears, Mira saw a strange looking building, and went inside, hiding behind a crate to finally cry while no-one would see her, hiding from everyone.
Finally, the girl could cry, cry about her family ignoring and despising her, and the townspeople bullying her...
But she didn't hear the "building's" door close, she didn't hear an engine starting to run, and she didn't hear the "building" rising up and fly.
What she did hear was...music? it was in a different language, but it sounded fun.
"I am Groot?" Mira suddenly heard a small voice ask. She looked down, and saw a small talking...tree??
Mira didn't understand it, but she was still flabbergasted non the less.
“Hola…” the girl simply said, her voice still trembling.
“I am Groot!” the talking tree said again.
“What do you mean there’s-“ another voice talked, that belonged to talking…cat? It looked like a cat. The “cat” in question looked just as Mira herself was though. “Oh…”
-
Well shit, Rocket didn’t expect a Terran kid to have snuck on the ship. Great…
The rest of the guardians quickly heard about the whole ordeal as well. While Peter wasn’t all that surprised that a kid was here (she could’ve mistaken it for a building somehow), the others sure were.
“She feels…sad, hurt.” Mantis said, gently holding the girl’s hand in an attempt to comfort her. "She's upset..."
"Than let's bring her back to Terra!" Rocket suggested. Unfortunately, they were too far away from Terra and have made several jumps.
So, the guardians decided that they would bring the girl with them for one mission, and then they would return to Terra to drop her off.
That plan was soon thrown out of the window.
While the guardians were on their way to their mission, Peter tried to talk to the girl. turned out she couldn't understand English. Well, that'd make sense since she came from Colombia, and they were just there as well.
So, Peter gave the girl a translator, hoping that that would help with communication.
It helped, and it didn't take long for the poor kid to break down and tell him how she got on the ship. Turned out she literally got chased out of town by bullies who threw rocks at her, while those assholes that were her “family” simply stood by and didn’t do shit to stop it.
But what hit Peter the most was that that asshole family neglected the girl, yelling at her and telling her she’s “in the way”.
The rest of the guardians heard the whole conversation as well through their own translators, and were utterly baffled at the thought of a family abandoning one of their own simply because she wasn’t “good enough” for them…
Well, you know what? Fuck those assholes! If they didn’t want to raise a “giftless” kid, than the guardians of the galaxy would! And they’d make sure that she’d grow up more talented than those losers would ever be!
Basically, Peter and Gamora became parents while the rest of the guardians became uncle and aunt-figures to the kid (Mirabel, her name was Mirabel). It wasn’t like they didn’t have experience with kids being on the ship and with them on missions.
Groot was quite happy to have a cousin. He wasn’t the only kid on the ship now! :D
Peter would be a good dad who’d teach Mira about the galaxy, defending herself, and music! And he’d definitely tell stories about Yondu!
Gamora however would try to distance herself from the girl, worrying that she wouldn’t be a good mom, tho she and Mira would bond eventually. Gamora didn’t have the best parental figure, after all…
Drax would be a fun uncle who babysat both Groot and Mira often. Tho he did accidentally destroy Mira’s glasses (or “eye shields” as he called them).
While Rocket wasn’t allowed to babysit alone anymore after teaching Mira 45 different swear words, he’d teach her how to use different types of guns and tech in general.
Mantis would be an amazing aunty who’d comfort Mira whenever she felt sad about her (former) family not liking her or something else. :D
Mira would learn English through Peter’s music, tho she’d still use the translator to understand the other guardians.
She’d unfortunately end up becoming a kleptomaniac tho. :/
As time went on, Mira would only vaguely remember the Madrigal family, and not in a good way. If anything, it kinda became unresolved trauma…
Overall, Mira was more than happy out in space with her adoptive family!
But uhm, than we get to Infinity War…

It's been a month I can be salty.

Explanation under cut
He dropped the ball on Gamora and the whole Group of Guardians. This is the first time that it feels less like an ensemble movie and more like "The Space Adventures of Rocket and Quill"
There could have been more elaboration on Peter and Mantis leaving, Nebula staying on Knowhere during the story instead of at the end. Drax's touches of being a Dad to the kids was actually really well done.
Groot didn't really have a character. Not even when his Dad Rocket was dying, he didn't feel like he was active in the story or given time to react at all.
Peter Quill's Arc was halfway decent so he wasn't mentioned. I have doubts that he'll return, but worse things have happened in this franchise. (i mean this as a joke.)
James has gone on record to say "you can just hop in" to Vol 3...but. That's putting new fans over the old ones. That's not fair or satisfying to the people that love these characters and have been following them for these 9 years.
List of Gamoras:
Guardian Gamora who was killed by her abuser in IW to "humanize" him. And then not followed up on. No funeral, no mentions aside from Quill having some very human grief but still unhealthy and Nebula taking a moment.
Gamora from the T'challa Star-Lord What if was just...not mentioned. At all. Only Nebula and Thanos were seen.
Gamora from the What if where she Kills Thanos and takes his armor. She has a Funko Pop...but she's in season 2 in limbo and we don't know anything about her. Also a Gamora that died against Upgraded!Ultron...
Ravager / Feral Gamora, who hitched a ride with the Ravagers in a deleted scene and got her bonding with them off screen. Pulled into a tough situation with her other self, constantly compared. It was a bad spot but Gunn handled it where she kept her choices and understood the Starmora relationship enough to keep in touch with Quill.
James just gave a really good swing at his fursona (i mean this affectionately) 's backstory and writing the end of a chapter of their lives. Adventures can still happen, the Guardian's aren't gone, but...they'll never be the same again.
We're never going to see them at their "peak" between Vol 2 and Infinity War and that's a shame. They were more family than the Avengers ever were. Despite being aliens, they were more human than many other characters in the MCU.
