🐻Flippy from war journal. Kinda wish we got the other two episodes that were planned. The titles looked really interesting and apparently Mouse Kaboom and Sneaky were supposed to come back!! 😭😭

We don't talk enough about Buck's face when he opens the door and sees Maddie. Like he saw her through the peephole, but he took a deep breath when the door opened because he is relieved that she’s real, not just a figment of his imagination. It’s just so pure, unencumbered, childlike energy. Not that he’s a child, but its just…pure. And then Maddie moves to pull away and Buck just folds his full-foot-taller self to fit into her neck like that will keep her from leaving again. And his nervous little stutter coming out because he doesn’t want to say the wrong thing and say that she looks good, because the signs were missed last time, but he also missed his big sister. And this is all in 30 seconds at most and is why I love Jennifer Love Hewitt and Oliver Stark together so much

@ pro-Israel and Zionists, is what's happening in Gaza enough to qualify them for self-defence against your murdering, genocidal state? Or do you want them to come out of this all cool and chill and forget what happened? At what point are self-defence and resistance movements/groups okay?
Or does that point never come because you've always wanted them completely wiped off Earth?
Because this time, Israel's acts were majorly exposed. You've always acted like h@mAs eViL without knowing any history. This time, you can't ignore what Israel did. Do Palestinians have your permission to avenge themselves after this? Or is that something only you and other white countries are allowed to do?
How do you now view the situation? Btw all this may be new to you but Israel has always done this every Ramadan, and generally every few weeks every year since decades. You've always conveniently ignored it or stayed oblivious thanks to propaganda machines in your countries but this time Israel's barbarity and cruelty are laid out for you to see.

Free matsuhana fic concept: the team places mistletoe everywhere in a sweet but misguided effort to get them together, not knowing that they've already been dating for months. They still go along with it, wondering how many heated make out sessions it will take for them to catch on, since the double dates with iwaoi (who actually aren't together yet) haven't been evidence enough

I’ve seen some OFMD Takes that equate Stede and Ed’s softness and boil it down to an anti-toxic masculinity thing and an uncomplicated moral good, but I feel like doing that misses a lot of nuance by ignoring the role that class plays in their stories.
Stede does face negative repercussions for being ‘soft,’ for failing to measure up to the ideal of masculinity enforced by civilization, but only social consequences. And that’s not to say those consequences don’t matter; it’s terrible that his father was emotionally abusive, that he was bullied by his peers, that he felt alienated from his family. However, nobody was going to repossess his house because he wasn’t performing masculinity up to their standards. He was never going to have to worry about where his next meal would come from because of it.
Further, Stede has the privilege to walk away whenever he feels like it. He can “upend his entire comfortable life to become a pirate” and then “un-abandon [it] on a whim” and STILL face no economic consequences for any of it.
Ed, meanwhile, cannot just walk away from being Blackbeard because his legend is his only source of income. He can’t simply choose to stop being a pirate and be soft instead because, for him, the consequence of failing to perform the ideal of masculinity is death. In a fair and equal world, Ed would be able to wear all the silk robes and throw all the talent shows he wanted to, but that is not the world he lives in.
Piracy was supposed to be his escape from poverty, but all it’s managed to do is allow him to stave it off, and become a prison unto itself in the process. Ed is trapped, not by toxic masculinity, but by economic desperation. No matter how hard he tries, he’s still not one of “those kind of people” and he never will be. That’s the symbolism of him throwing the red silk away at the end of ep 10: the acceptance that “you wear fine things well” was only ever a dream for him and that dream is now dead.

What i just got from watching midnight museum is that dome/chan/the one is a dynamic so close to the holy trinity (but a very dark and f ed up version) like idk if someone already mentioned but
to me the one is like the holy spirit since he doesn't seem to have an actual body, he just travels to different bodies as much as he likes and seems to know everything about everyone almost like he just watches things from afar
Chan at first i wanted to put him as the father aka god but he had this whole dying plot which was so similar as the jesus dying for our sins plot that im more certain he might be the son aka jesus, cause he also comes back the second time years later quite like the bible says will happen
And that would lead to dome being...god? (that would be funny how everyone sees him as a god and he's just..who are you calling god? me??) I mean that would explain his powers that seems to be the most powerful out of the three but i still feel like both of them could switch places i'll probably need more thought about it
And yeah the last thing why i think it makes sense is that no one knows if they are 3 different people/beings or not and with the holy trinity concept they are both just one entity (and have one body of gun) and also 3 different beings at the same time and to me it just seems like a less confusing way of seeing them. They are all god and all powerful but each a different entity in a way
End of the rant :)

I was pretty bored yesterday and in a bitter mood and so I ended up spam-reblogging a shitload of anti-Madoka Magica posts(and no I’m not sorry, because no matter fucking what I will never stop hating on that trashfest of an anime), and obviously there’s nothing much really that I can say about it that hasn’t already been said by both me and other people in the past but lemme just say how FUCKED up it is…that grown men can look at a genre full of light and hope and female solidarity and empowerment for girls that teaches them that they can be whatever they want to be and that they should never stop believing in themselves and striving for greatness and go “nope, fuck that, instead of all of that happy fun girl power shit let’s write an edgy grimdark dystopia where being a girl with dreams and a desire to strive for greatness is a bad thing that can only end in suffering and punishment, where the survival of the universe and progress of humanity literally hinges on girls being tortured and killed en masse for wishing for something that would make them happy, where girls are universally portrayed as overemotional and impressionable and susceptible and weak and must slay each other in order to survive because they’ll go berserk and monstrous once their power inevitably gets the better of them, and where the only way to escape this ending is by dying and being erased from existence, because that’s the best girls can hope for, and as the icing on the sour cake, let’s aim it at an adult male audience so that they can watch girls suffer and perish and be psychologically broken for their own entertainment, all because they wanted something for themselves and had the gall and the selfishness to go after it.”
And instead of people seeing it for the sexist torture porn that it is it gets glowing reviews on every platform, people eat this shit up and say that this sleazy adult male-aimed show about barely adolescent girls suffering because they wanted something more for themselves is feminist actually, that actually all of the turmoil that the girls go through is a totally girl power metaphor for how girls suffer at the hands of patriarchy in the real world, and how the torture porn got subverted at the end when really all the end did was show the girls continuing to suffer because of their wishes but hey at least they’ll get the sweet release of death in the end, and how the all-male writing staff definitely meant for this to be the next feminist coming of Jesus despite the fact that they say they weren’t inspired by any Magical Girl works that came before them and were instead inspired by porn games…Madoka is the most progressive and revolutionary anime ever really, even more so than those insightful shows about Magical Girls that are actually aimed at girls and actually feature female empowerment and angst done well and not just for the sole purpose of letting men watch female characters suffer, those other shows are just stupid and shallow and bland and don’t know what they’re talking about, Madoka is where it’s at. Take it from me, a 35-year-old man who has never seen a single Magical Girl anime in my life except for Madoka Magica. If you don’t agree with me or if you dare to critique my soulless male gaze moebait, then you’re obviously just dumb and ignorant and don’t understand the deep philosophical nuances of this shoddy anime, I mean just look at Madoka’s mom! She’s the breadwinner of her family! Sure she’s not important to the plot on a whole and it’s not like Heartcatch Precure has done this character archetype better or anything but she’s proof that the writers are feminist icons who set out to empower women! Now watch as me and the rest of my Madoka-loving friends proceed to bully and harass the shit out of you for not sharing our vapid opinions until you either delete your account, change your tune and say you like Madoka now and were so wrong and stupid before, or stop talking about how much you hate Madoka entirely. And anyway teenage girls really ARE irrational, hysterical, and constantly on their cycles. Of course they’ll get taken advantage of for it! That’s not misogynistic to point out, that’s just the biotruth!

what is wars diagnosed with. I know he has them I just don't know which ones.
I would prefer if we didn't pathologize Warriors
#I neither have the knowledge to diagnose him nor care to do so#on one hand i think people that try to diagnose characters are often applying harmful stereotypes to people with real disorders#on the other i think trying to diagnose Warriors is missing the point of his character entirely#I don't want anyone deciding that he's like this because he has X because then it's too easy to decide that you're nothing like him because#you too don't have X. like that's missing the whole point of feeling sympathy or anger towards a bastard of a character#and like listen anon. you didn't ask for this lecture (one I should definitely be putting in the actual message and not leave in the tags)#and in theory anon you can do what you want and i can't stop you. death of the author and all that#but while i'm here I'll also say this: none of you better be out here diagnosing wars with low empathy because I write him like he#is empathetic. if i was writing a character with low to no empathy you will know. why? because your author (me) has low empathy#I'll spare you my rant about that but i keep putting off a character moment where i was going to establish that a character we know is a#good person discusses how they have low empathy because it's really important to me that people understand that your ability to be#empathetic doesn't make you a good or bad person. you just have trouble identifying when you need to show sympathy. that's it.#anyway sorry to make an example of you anon. i'm sure you were trying to make a joke but you accidentally hit a button that reminded me of#my real sensitive button gosh#me rambling#lu ctb#ask#anonymous#anyway add 'Frankie has low empathy' to your trivia about me

i do think theres a lowkey dark comedy in me telling my friend abt my problems with my cousin because its like...... girl who occasionally laughs in passing at crying kids on the street reassures guy who used to purposefully made her cry when kids and still finds pleasure in reminding her of such that hes not an asshole 🤝
