Cracked; misshaped; disarrayed. Arms were sticking out at angles they shouldn't be; legs looked like they were attached by thread. Head twisted to the side, eyes open in a silent scream. What have I done?
Every step down each stair felt wrong; illegal somehow. The lighting was dim, the body too dark to see all the full detail of the smaller injuries he may have obtained. There he was, limbs splayed out everywhere, each at angles they should not be at. I cautiously take the last step, as though he would sit up any moment and scream at me for everything I did. My fault. This is all my fault.

I can almost hear it like monks chanting "the lore grows"
The writer's chant "the lore must grow". It grows as the lore of their deity takes root in other religions like a parasite they know not why they pray to lore they just know that lore is them they are lore bound by it and inextricably drawn to it the lore must grow they chant what a good or bad the lore must grow they chant. Is the echoes of their endless scribbles and taps fill the world.

came back wrong trope but the character knows that they came back wrong. they’re so acutely aware of how different they are now from how they were before that it drives them fucking insane. they’re stuck trying to return to somebody that’s long dead. they can never be the person they once were. everybody around them knows it. deep down, they know it too, but they’re trapped in a cycle of their own making. of trying to revive someone that no longer exists.
