Something that The Amazing Devil does so beautiful is that even though a lot of their songs are very wordy they don't rush or skip over the rests in-between. And my favorite examples of this are Elsa's Song and Old Witch Sleep/Good Man Grace, because in old with/good man the beggining is so nice because they put so much pauses between each phrase and even parts like the "Sleep now, oh, she said" there is this smallest rest between the "Now" and "Oh" and it's so subtle but if you don't do that rest it's very very noticeable because your just slurring these two (almost) very short phrases of their own. Then in Elsa's Song l love how the tempo and when they come in, is almost dragging, they are coming in at the very last second of the beat and it makes the tone of the song so so so good

you know, I think the real genius of TAD is that they can have lines like "and I'll sing silence and ask my glass of wine for guidance", which is just... so lovely and poignant and poetic and managed to perfectly capture about five different emotions in a single line, and lines like "I'm gonna go home and dress my cat up like Batman 'cause he's awesome like me" not just in the same album, but in the same goddamn song.

The Amazing Devil decided to create a song so heartbreakingly romantic, displaying a type relationship rarely portrayed and they decided to add a goddam “that’s what she said” joke

It's currently two in the morning and I decided to listen to TAD ruin again and when I tell you it's like hearing the album for the first time again-

The amazing devil really just said it's okay to hate your parents, because they love you more than you know and expected us all to just be okay afterwards.

There me be relatively few of us The Amazing Devil fans, but what we lack in numbers we make up in sheer, unhinged enthusiasm.

The bard!! But honestly also Geraskier, Geralt, Ciri and Yen and Milek and the other wolves- but a certain bard is often enough the centerpiece of it.

24. What did you listen to while creating this year?

Oh, a lot of musicals (if you look very closely they all reappear from time to time, but it is like each AU has kind of it's own soundtrack - there was a lot of Hadestown - but also Six, Dear Evan Hansen, The mad ones, Waitress, or the Anastasia musical). Some german musicians, cover musicians like annapantsu or Karliene, but mostly I watch some documentaries or funny videos!
