is futch exclusive to lesbians? also is there any terms for when youre only attracted to nonconforming men or men who arent completely masc?
Gncmasexual + Gncwomasexual!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gncmasexual is a term for being exclusively or near exclusively attracted to gender nonconforming men; such as fin men, lin men, etc.
Gncwomasexual is a term for being exclusively or near exclusively attracted to gender nonconforming women; such as min women, lin women, etc.
And nope! Futch is not exclusive to lesbians, just like how butch and femme aren't exclusive to lesbians

im a genderfluid girl whose aroace-spec and likes men (only nonconforming ones) but i think i also like girls??? i like how they look and stuff but i cant see myself having a relationship with one, is there a label for that?
it seems you're describing multiple forms of attraction. you like aesthetically and affectionally girls/women, but not amorously. while you also like affectionally GNC men/boys (and probably also aesthetically, right?)
some possible nonspecific labels to look at: variangled/periangled, angled aroace, GNC-, indivi-, finma-, multiaesthetic. they don't fit specifically your experience, I also can't tell exactly what you feel. I hope they help you how to find yourself.

Reply if you'd be willing to send an ask to a parafonian-culture-is blog (parafonian being attraction to gnc people), and feel free to throw an example in there if you want
Like if you'd follow a parafonian-culture-is blog
Reblog with the name you'd prefer if you think it should be named GNCsexual-culture-is or GNCsexual-Parafonian-culture-is, or just plain reblog with nothing if you want to see the post reach more people

Virgamsexual
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Virgamsexual: a combination of abrosexual and panromantic. A sexuality which is fluid while still being in harmony with the gender·s and/or gender expression of the person·s you're attracted to romantically (or any other form of attraction). Basically, your sexuality changes in a way that it's always in cohesion to the gender·s and/or gender expression of the person·s you're attracted to romantically.
Exemples of virgamsexuality:
Homosexual (mlm, nblm) when attracted romantically to a man.
Heterosexual (mlw, nblw) when attracted romantically to a women.
Ceterosexual when attracted romantically to a non-binary person.
Gynesexual when attracted romantically to a feminine person.
Minsexual when attracted romantically to a masculine person.
GNCsexual when attracted romantically to a gnc person.
Minwomasexual when attracted romantically to a masculine woman.
Finmasexual when attracted romantically to a feminine man.
Sapphic when in love with a woman.
Androgynesexual when in love with an androgyne person.

thinking about how pride month was assigned specific days to recognize identities in the early days of the internet (ex. June 1 is gay pride, June 2 is lesbian pride, etc.) and how it includes many sexualities considered "special snowflakes"/"MOGAI" because the stigma of gatekeeping wasn't really... there yet. and oh how different it is today where exclusionists roam free on the internet
and I'm all for inclusion and self-definition but I was looking at the pride month calendar, and "problematic" identities like pangender and skoliosexuality are still included as recently as 2020. I think those two terms in particular have either fallen out of usage or have been redefined to be more mindful by those who still use it. for context, pangender was considered appropriative for claiming to encompass culturally specific genders so it grew unpopular, but I think the remaining pangender people today make the distinction that they only embody genders relevant to them. and as for skoliosexual...
from what I've read it is used interchangeably with ceterosexual and has been redefined as attraction to nonbinary people (vs. its original coined definition of being attracted to trans and nonbinary people, which can imply transphobic fetishization and chasers). and I don't know anyone who IDs as cetero/skoliosexual but I have to assume there are those out there. I'd like to believe that those people really don't mean any harm with that identity, unlike those who coin up identities such as "sup/er str/aig/ht" - god I hate that and I won't tolerate that as a nonbinary trans person
but anyway the criticism with cetero/skoliosexual is that nonbinary people can look any which way. which, if that attraction is based on disclosure of being nonbinary, is similar to not being attracted to men/women who disclosure themselves as trans, so... yeah. (presumably not being attracted to someone femme until they out themselves as nonbinary, and how that's similar to being attracted to someone femme until they say they're trans)
so the "better" way to interpret this would be attraction to gender nonconformity? which removes the aspect of "chasing" nonbinary people for their non-cis identity. although again I don't want to impose definitions onto people and tell them "oh, if you say you're ceterosexual/skoliosexual/attracted to nonbinary people what you ACTUALLY mean is _____"
well, I don't have a problem with the identity itself unless it's being used specifically to fetishize non-cis identities. I haven't interacted with the community much which is a bit ironic because you would think more nonbinary people would be familiar with a sexuality designated for them.
along the terms of what I was envisioning with attraction to gender nonconformity, I was curious if any terms existed for that since it doesn't seem to be a definition applied to ceterosexuality. the only thing I could find is GNCsexual. I was wondering if I could come up with another name, but I'm not coming up with anything I like (and I wouldn't identify with it even if I did find a term, since I don't define my sexuality as attraction to gender nonconformity).
I thought of hetero- and homo-sexuality and how they don't denote gender objectively, but rather relatively to the subject. and how if heterosexuality is being attracted to the opposite and homosexuality the same, then it would make sense for an identity to be attracted to nonconformity rather than the nonbinary genders themselves. (so ceterosexual would instead be a counterpart to identities like androsexual and gynosexual)
and in keeping with the hetero/homo roots I wanted something that also started with H. the only root I found that could fit was heli-/helic-/helico- which refers to the spiral of a helix. so there's a theme of spiraling as distinct from a straight path. but there's the problem of the term being too similar to helicopter, which is not an association I want to make for obvious reasons. I did try to look for other roots not starting with H
either way, the proposed terms I have are helisexual, helicsexual, helixsexual, heliosexual (combining heli + o, although helio- actually means sun), helicosexual (not ideal for being the most similar to helicopter), and contrasexual (something more clearly meaning "against" as against gender conformity). and I don't know if I like any of these terms or if anyone would want to use them.
the idea was to create a third complement to hetero/homo but there wasn't a naturally existing third root, let alone one starting with H. cetero means "other" but is derived from greek rather than latin. skolio means "bent" (another reason for discourse surrounding the term)
well, I don't expect much to come from this post; I'm just rambling. at most, it calls attention to the idea of attraction to gender nonconformity. but yeah I guess I'm just curious what the name is for sexual/romantic attraction to GNC other than GNCsexual

is there a term for when you're attracted/mostly attracted to gnc guys?
there's finma- for attraction to feminine men. the prefix indivi- includes attraction to GNC individuals, so indivima- would be that, attraction to GNC guys. hope that helps

is there a term where you like guys but you're not/rarely attracted to completely masculine ones?
I know finma-. If we use nominflexible with -ma-, we could have nominmaflexible (this could include attraction to other genders, so going with "nominflexible masexual" would be more exact). there's also indiviflexible and GNCflexible that could be mixed together.

Hi!
What's that in your profile pic?
Thank u for asking! It's the flag for a term I coined, parafonian! As it turns out, a term had already existed, but I prefer mine over GNCsexual as it's much easier to pronounce, and I do prefer the flag I made since it's easier to reproduce.
That said, I'm definitely biased and anybody can use whatever terms they like! I colorpicked it from the GNC flag, though, so that's pretty neat.
Basically, what being parafonian boils down to is being attracted to gender non-conformity. For me, that's masculine women, feminine men, and enben whose vibes are Very Gender™!
Thanks for the ask, by the way!

What is the flag in your profile pic?
It's the parafonian flag, a term I coined myself!
It's essentially just a less clunky term for being gncsexual, but I like the flag that I came up with a bit better than the original one. I am, of course, biased in this.
Basically, I'm attracted to gender-nonconformity: masculine women, feminine men, enben whose vibes are Very Gender, etc.

What is "parafonian?" (Genuine question, and I don't really trust Google to give me a satisfactory answer.)
I'm so glad u asked! It's a term I coined a while back in this post here. Basically, it's attraction to gender nonconformity - masculine women, feminine men, and enben whose vibes are Very Gender™! As it turns out, there was already a term and I'm just shit at finding stuff, but the term is GNCsexual - it feels a bit clunkier than parafonian, but I'm not about to police labels lol. It's probably gonna be hard to find online because of how recent it is, but I'm really proud of how it turned out. Lmk if u have any other questions!

hi! can i ask what parafonian means if youre comfortable? it's not a term i could find online :)
that's probably because I coined it myself! It basically refers to attraction to people who are gender nonconforming, aka gncsexual (although I personally would like parafonian to encompass all types of attraction to gnc people and I prefer it regardless because it's easier to say)

i keep seeing you comment on things and i cant figure out what your pfp is. is it a pride flag? i cant find anything online about it
JSLAKJLKGSDJKLS yeah i keep forgetting that it's literally a microlabel (/flag) that i made up. it's for parafonian/gncsexual.

what is parafonian
I'm so glad you asked! Parafonian, also known as GNCsexual (though parafonian isn't necessarily always sexual), is attraction to gender non-conforming individuals. Here's the post where it originated - masculine women, feminine men, and enben whose vibes are Very Gender™ are the people for me!
