Appreciation post for Kui Mulang/Yellow Robed Demon

One of the most underrated and overlooked aspects of an entire episode. From the gorgeous astrology used, the paintings, that voice, and stunning character design. I've never gushed over such a small character.

LATE NIGHT SLUMBER

short oneshot to soothe my lucifer brainrot. <3

The pen he held firmly brushed against the document had written his name beautifully. The inked, cursive initials that dotted against the line. His red eyes moving onto the next sheet within the stack, paying no mind to anything else. Behind him, the fireplace cracked with each minute. The slow, burning fire that brought him warmth in the cold weather of Devildom. The night progressed deeper into time, bringing only slight comfort to him.

A knock echoed in his study, his eyes unnerving, "Come in," he'd spoke, hearing the wooden door creak open as you approached him. A blanket draped across your form, more specifically - Lucifer's blanket. You nudged his side, soon moving to poke his shoulder, "Luci.. Can you come to bed?.. I can't sleep without you."

Your voice was soft and raspy, clearly woken from a short sleep. Lucifer smiled, kissing your hand gently as continued to sign at each page with his other, "Give me a few more minutes, love. I'll be in bed after this last page." Him and you knew that was a lie. That'd been his excuse every time, "You said that an hour ago. Please come to bed, you need sleep for the meeting tomorrow," you squeezed his hand, attempting to pull him away. Though, as known, demons are far more stronger than humans.

As suspected, you had failed, "I promise, MC. I'll be in bed in just a moment." A huff came from your lips, your hand leaving his. Without a word, you climbed into his lap and koala hugged him. Your face buried within his neck as warmth flooded you. He'd always been warm, as weird as it is. Though it was expected of some since he constantly wore his furr coat.

As soon as you had sat firmly on his lap, he dropped his quill and sighed, "Fine.. I'll leave this work for tomorrow." His hands wrapped around you, his hands resting on your waist. Lucifer had no weak spots, not with anyone. You were an exception, though. Every touch, every kiss, every word, every gift. Anything from you had his heart pounding and squeezing against his chest.

He stood from his seat, your form still gripping onto him. Lucifer carefully closed the door to his study and lazily walked up the stairs. He turned the corner to move to his room and opened the door. He'd set you down, gotten into loose clothing, and crawled into bed next to you. He pulled you close as soon as he'd fallen into the sheets, smelling your hair that was washed with his shampoo. Lucifer would never lose pride of you smelling like him. It was one of his favorite things, to be honest.

"I love you, MC. I don't know what I'd do without you." He whispered, hugging your form tighter as the cold air conditioner flowed throughout the vents. Your arms held him as well, brushing his hair with your fingers as you twirled each strand with love. His hair was more than soft, almost like silk. It smelt like the forest and roses - a wonderful scent that you were blessed with, "I love you, Luci." You smiled, kissing his cheek as you and him fell into a peaceful slumber.

I talk a lot about Nathalie on this blog but I don't mention Placide much

I have this headcanon that they're best friends. Like. Super close. Which I think is really funny given the different backgrounds, but also you can't work for Gabe for 15+ years and not make fun of him behind his back with someone.

Also I have a headcanon that they're both autistic and Placide is nonverbal but they can communicate basically just by raising their eyebrows at each other.

Idk I just think they're really cute in a platonic/sibling way.
