Omegaverse Worldbuilding for Coffee, Honey, and sometimes Hazelnuts.

Here are my disjointed, mostly drunk notes.

Packs:
Bonds between pack members don’t send emotions so much as they just send “I’m hurt” or a notification of death.
Death Notifications are always traumatic, and while everyone describes it differently, general consensus is that it fucking hurts.
Bruce felt so bad about Jason’s death because his bond not only did not dissipate, but it never sent the notification. It always just sat there, with no change. Like if Jason had gone to school.
Bonds can be forcibly broken only by Betas, and there’s Betas employed by shelters for abused spouses who specialize in breaking bonds when the other party does not want to let go.
Otherwise bonds can be broken by both party’s consent
The head of the Pack is the one who falls into that category; it’s actually usually Omegas, but it can be Alphas and Betas. In fact, in England it was a serious issue how many Noble families were actually Omegan-led instead of Alpha-led, and it was a general consensus that if you saw something, no you fucking didn’t.
The head of the pack holds sway over pack decisions. They have the house that’s used for get togethers, and keep in touch with other pack members when they are not in said house.
The amount of power said head has depends on the culture. In American culture, they can be rebelled against with little to no societal ramnifications.
Other countries have different rules, though, but again; it largely depends on the society.
Packs are unique to each person, but typically the family Pack will be their first, and that one has their Pack Leader or Pack head.
Society, General Overview:
Alphas were viewed as the more dominant and superior secondary gender (leftover mentality from England) until about the American Civil War, when Omegas and Betas forced themselves into the military, banding together to take out anyone in their way.
After fighting shoulder to shoulder, motions were put in place to guarantee equal rights for secondary genders.
Slavery still persisted, because humans love to discriminate against SOMETHING.
Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Greenland have had equal rights since the dawn of their civilizations, and the discrimination from other countries actually led to a few wars.
In China, Omegas are still seen as the superior secondary gender, and Alphas are seen as the lessor. Betas are often the butt of everyones jokes.
In Japan Betas are viewed as weak, and it is the Alpha and Omegas job to protect them. It’s a purely cultural thing, however, as on paper they all have equal rights.
In South Korea Nulls are seen as superior, and Betas a close second. In North Korea, the superior secondary gender is whatever the secondary gender of the current leader is.
In the middle east you get your more traditional Omegaverse setting, although there are many equal rights groups fighting to rectify it and most of the population of those countries knows those beliefs are bullshit.
Mexico granted equal rights a century sooner than America.

Abilities and Consequences:
Alpha Command
-Primarily meant to lead others to safety
Beta Coercion
-Primarily meant to talk over conflict to offer a solution
Omega Rebuke
-Primarily meant to give out orders to Alphas and Betas
Scruffing someone who isn’t pack or in a good place to be scruffed will only activate their fight response, not their submission.
Basically, scruffing can only happen with the consent of the scruffed.
Attempting to scruff someone against their will can and will drive them into a feral state of self defense.
This can be bypassed by drugging the scruffee, however if you’ve drugged them then why scruff them?
Alphas and Omegas, while more fertile during Heat/Rut, aren’t really driven to have sex unless their significant other is present and they’re in the mood. Just slightly more horny, if at all.
While they can work during a Heat or Rut, it’s considered incredibly rude to force someone to work through it, so Alphas and Omegas typically do not. Mandatory PTO is in the USA regarding a Heat or a Rut, and even Betas and Nulls are able to get it via association with an Alpha or Omega that wants them nearby. (That last one is more recent, and it took years to get that, but it’s been in place for about fifteen years).
Omegas can Purr, Alphas can growl, Betas can do quieter versions of both and typically do what feels better to them.
Brief History of Transitioning:
It is possibly for someone to change secondary genders.
Earliest recorded instances in Medieval France of “Bitching”, or surrounding an Alpha with so many Alphas and Alpha scent and pheromones that the secondary gender transitions permanently to Omega.
Unethical Experimentation performed by Nazi Germany and Axis Japan led to the discovery of basically the ability to transition to any other secondary gender, and the discovery that secondary genders aren’t set in stone.
There are stipulations; the other secondary gender must be a recessive gene already present in the individual.
An AA Alpha cannot transition to an Omega, but an Ao Alpha can.
An OO Omega cannot transition into a Beta, but an Oa Omega can.
Any secondary gender can transition to Null, but once Null there’s no way to transition to a secondary gender.
A Beta cannot transition to an Alpha or an Omega, but they hold the traits of both genders anyways, just without Heats or Ruts. Beta bodies are designed to assist the pack as needed, so if more sires are needed Alpha traits will shine through, but if more Pups are needed Omega traits will shine through.
With the end of WW2, it was a battle to get transitioning legalized. Turkey actually legalized it first, and created some of the worlds best Transitioning centers.
Other countries followed, and by 1955, Transitioning is seen a legal pretty much anywhere in the world with the exception of Canada. (this is mostly because the Native Tribes practiced Transitioning freely, and the government is still trying to stomp them out, so it’s just overlooked for anyone who is not a Native.)

You know our secret dadbur au thingy? You know how you said that Tommy would probably find out by Fundy coming to yell at him because Fundy very much thought Tommy knew?
That. It gives so many things.
Foxboy and raccoonboy interaction. Miscommunication. Reveal. Wilbur being an absolute Trainwreck of a person discussed by the two people most impacted by said wreck. And of course. Tommy having another fucking crisis including his daddy issues and brother issues teaming up in a completely new way to kick his ass even harder.
I just really like that au and I like the scenes that have shit be revealed.
I mean you can also write the scene where Wilbur reveals it to like... I think Fundy and philza(?) In the first place. But mainly I just want those two angsty teens that haven't talked since like. Pre doomsday. To have their first interactions as begrudging APPARENTLY brothers.
I did already write the scene of Wilbur's reveal to Phil so you can definitely get Fundy screaming at an oblivious Tommy instead!
Fundy was furious.
He was heartbroken, for sure, but he was also furious.
By now he had no trust in Wilbur. His father hadn't been the most reliable for years now, and knowing that he hadn't told Phil either about his relationship with Tommy made Fundy feel like he at least wasn't the exception.
No who he was furious with was Tommy himself. The boy had always been an awful liar and because of that Fundy had trusted him and yet, apparently he was suddenly a good liar when it came to denying being Fundy's brother!
He finally found Tommy sitting relaxed on his bench and immediately stormed up to him.
"You lying asshole, why did you never tell me?!". Tommy had a dumb puzzled look on his face like he couldn't possibly know what Fundy was talking about. "Don't play dumb! I heard it from Wilbur's lips, I know you're his son too!".
Tommy seemed genuinely shocked hearing that. "I'm what?!".
Fundy deflated slightly. "Wilbur's son? Wilbur said it. You had to know, right?". Tommy was shaking his head frantically and oh. Oh Wilbur lied to him too, didn't he. "I thought Phil was my dad. Always thought he just didn't care about me enough to treat me as a son..." Tommy muttered bitterly.
And, just like that, all the fight left Fundy at once. "Man... our family is fucked". Tommy laughed "Yeah, you can say that again! Why did he even lie? I don't get it. Was I that terrible as a child?". Fundy took one of Tommy's hands in his paws and gave it a reassuring squeeze the best he could "Wasn't your fault. He's just an asshole".
They sat in silence for a few more moments before Tommy very timidly asked: "Do you forgive him for it? The lies I mean". Fundy shook his head. "You?". Tommy smiled bitterly "I don't want to. But I know that if he comes to me with a half-assed apology I won't be able not to".
"Well, I can help you with that. If you moved to Las Nevadas I could keep an eye out for him. Keep you from meeting him until you're ready" Fundy proposed.
He was sort of hoping Tommy would accept. They didn't have much of a relationship after Tommy's exile. They hadn't really spoken more than once or twice and Fundy would really like to fix that. As far as he was concerned, Tommy and Yogurt were the only family he had left after all.
"Yeah. Yeah, I think I'd like that"

hello!!!! sorry I'm late!! thank you for the ask :D
sci-fi my beloved!
I love a good sci-fi anything tbh! movies, tv shows, books, games, personal projects! it's one of my favourite genres, though I do tend to lean more towards a sci-fi fantasy blend at times c:
I love the creativity in it! I love seeing intensely relatable themes and relationships and ideas play out in completely bizarre unfamiliar contexts, idk, it's just such a comforting thing. stories that are all the same echoes of each other, people still being people, connecting with familiar themes in even unrelatable unfamiliar circumstances..... it's just nice! and people have such different takes on the genre, there are so many different outlandish and fantastical and bizarre ideas, it's really fascinating to see how everyone puts their own flavour in it
plus I like my emotional catharsis two steps removed from being too close to my own reality, thanks very much
my parents like sci-fi stuff and enjoy those super long series like stargate, so I've seen and enjoyed some of those more.... straight sci-fi kinds of shows! I've seen bits of star trek too and found that enjoyable! I do appreciate a good space sci-fi and I'm fond of aliens and such
buuuuuut personally I lean more towards things like fringe and x files in terms of tv series.... for movies stuff like annihilation.... hm, maybe again a bit more fantasy and horror mixed in. I love it to be Weird. it has to be Weird. like, I feel like I'd be super into the twilight zone if I ever watched it
I find, uh, super complex hard sci-fi reeeeaaally hard to follow so I don't read much of it! too much brain power for me. watching it is mildly easier :P I'm very impressed by people who can dive into those ginormous complicated sci-fi worlds with zero context and manage to keep their cool lmao. I get three pages in and my head hurts and nothing makes sense
I'm even MORE impressed by the people who write them. some of those systems they come up with are fuckinnnnn insane
as far as writing goes!!! I myself always feel a bit like a fraud referring to anything I write as sci-fi hahaha
I don't feel like I know enough about science, y'know? n most of the worldbuilding in my stories like ATDAO is based on my own nonsense science systems and madeup ideas about how things like the multiverse and pocket dimensions and collapsing realities might work
I still tentatively describe a lot of my writing as sci-fi but it tends to lean in favour of fantasy.... and might better be described as fantasy wearing a science fiction trenchcoat and a fake moustache, hoping no one will look too close xD
in short, I will always have a soft spot for sci-fi as a genre! although I'm not nearly as well-versed or hardcore as other sci-fi fans, and I lean more towards those blends with other genres in my own work

9 — favorite type?
oh god oh fuck. i always default to bug on this question because a lot of my faves (not just limited to ones listed in following question) ARE bugs, but god is the type kinda. shit to use. the designs can really go off though, Venonat and Ariados are just nice, Spewpa is adorable to me, etc. typeswise I guess it's an endearing shittiness in battle, so i think i'll stick with it and then have runner up type be either poison, dark, or dragon.
11 — list your top 6 pokemon
FUCK, okay, but in no particular order and chosen by random from a larger pool of favorites:
- Zubat, because he is just a little guy and also a friend
- Deino/Zweilous, because they are bastard(s)
- Scizor, because i really love scyther also but scizor is red and kind of a powerhouse
- Sneasel, because of our kindred catboy energy
- Servine, because the first pokemon game my idiot child brain figured out how to beat to completion (become champion, not 100%) was Pokemon Black, and this was my favorite stage of my starter's line
- and Noivern, because i love its design and i think it would be fun and sexy to threaten people with saying i'll make my big scary bat dragon rip them to shreds. it's a powermove. when will they add mugging now-defenseless trainers you've beaten in a fair battle for more prize money /j

this is also difficult. can i just kinda rank them by gen? if so:
gen1: Mewtwo, mew is mythical unfortunately
gen2: Lugia. it's lugia. has to be. that pokeani episode with the baby lugia made me unreasonably upset that i couldnt breed lugias like phiones with ditto but god was the baby lugia fuckin cute. shouldve been a dragon type though
gen3: fuckinnnnn Latias counts right? i like her, she's cute :)
gen4: genuine tie between Giratina (the objectively correct answer) or Azelf (the subjectively correct answer)
gen5: Reshiram is up there. Cobalion is kind of a blip on the radar against it since it's my fav of musketeer trio but i think reshi is the way to go.
gen6: Yveltal. sorry for being edgy
gen7: Necrozma hands down. not for being very op but just because i adore its design and lore/concept actually and i kind of fuck with the ultra space a lot
gen8: you played gen 8? uh. hm. i had to look this up to pick bc i genuinely forgot if there were any more other than the dogs and bootleg necrozma on basegame since i refuse to buy the dlc and there isn't really. Zacian I guess? it's a sword dog.

currently wearing: black high waisted jeans, really nice tee with flowers on it, pink jumper bc it’s COLD but all my nice comfy ones are in the wash so i look rlly business casual like I'm at a wedding or baptism or smth

why I made my tumblr: you know when you used to get those pictures of text posts with the old layout? i would google ‘funny tumblr text posts about [insert topic]’ because i couldn’t make a tumblr but i WANTED to. also bc of fans ask blogs i KNOW i was SMALL
