Matt was such a sweetheart! He deserved to live longer honestly
NICK IN HIS FUCKING GRANDPA CLOTHES! I FUCKING LOVE HIM! I love that he doesn’t change out of them once he is home lol!
I feel how they portrayed the outbreak in FTWD is probably exactly what would happen, particularly in America. With the police shootings and then the riots then people getting killed in those riots and just like that you have an outbreak.
Honestly, it is a god damn miracle that Alicia survived as long as she has!! She is so naive at the beginning! Chris is in the same boat as well. Nick is the only ones that have a handle on it! Let’s not forget Tobias! He is fucking onto it! It would be fucking cool if he came back a fucking warrior guy lol!!
OFELIA, DANIEL!!!! hard to believe Ofelia becomes such a badass!

Be prepared to go Beth-Christ crazy (source wiki): Jesus "rose again the third day" (3 seasons). 5+3=8. According to the New Testament Jesus after his resurrection "appeared to many people over a span of forty days before he ascended into heaven". During the 40 days Jesus people "had visionary and mystical experiences" of him. Coda was episode 59. + 40 to 59. Episode 99 (7x16). 7x16 was the last appearance... The music box flashback. The 40 days are over. EPISODE 100 WILL BE INTERESTING! GIMPLE!
Holy shit, anon. You’re a genius. The episodes post-Coda representing the 40 days makes so much sense. With the amount of religious imagery and themes that have surrounded Beth, it does not surprise me that Gimple would plan his story like that. The season seven finale really felt a finale to the story, so far. It set the foundation for a big season eight premiere, and for something major to change in the hundredth episode. The mystical visions and signs of Jesus also fit the many Beth proxies, walkers, and parallels that we’ve seen. The walkers date back to season 4, but the living proxies first started to appear in 5b. The first direct proxy, rather than a simple parallel, was Jessie in 5x12.
That was when the group settled in Alexandria, which represents the “promised land” (as it was foreshadowed in 5x02: X), and the dream that Beth described in 4x12. Alexandria is her “promised land” that she’ll reach after a long period of wandering (40 days to 40 years of wandering), but Alexandria and the other Virginia communities could also be interpreted as her heaven.
In regards to the clocks, a long time ago @bethgreenewarriorprincess first noticed the 8 clocks, and she thought they only represented Beth’s “death” in 8 (X). We see the clock almost on 8 when Edwards puts down the patient found under a bridge. The clock is past 8 when Beth gives Trevitt the wrong medicine. Both are instances of someone dying, going along with the shot of Beth looking out at a ruined Atlanta. The clock struck 8 at the moment, and even before Coda people thought that the opening sequence foreshadowed some kind of “death” for Beth (a fake one, specifically). Now though, she and I think that the 8 could also be referring to her resurrection, should it be this upcoming season (X).
The first shot we have of that clock is at 8:01, then we see it again at 8:03. Christy and I figured out that Slabtown is the Bible or storyboard for Beth’s entire Christ arc, from her imprisonment to her resurrection (X) (X). Slabtown is her story in allegory, as premieres are allegories for their respective premieres. And we this clock after the clock in her room struck ten, the “time” of her resurrection. This clock was the only one unaccounted for, so it could be the time of her “official” return, as she already returned at 7:30, disguised as Boots.
But holy shit the trunk.
I’ve never seen the 8 before. I only saw the 03, and I thought it referred to the car theory. And I still think that applies, but the 03 can have more than one meaning, as symbolism and easter eggs so often do in this show. I think 8x03 is when Bethyl will reunite. Still foreshadowed Beth and Bethyl, including her resurrection. It makes sense that Gimple would plant the reunion somewhere in that episode. Overall, I think the audience will know see her return before the group does, so TPTB can hype up the inevitable reunions. For a long time, I figured that Bethyl would be the last reunion. First she’d reunite with Team Family, then Maggie, and then Daryl. This makes me even more sure that’s what TPTB are planning.
Christy, @allatariel, and I discussed the 102 last year (X). They watch FTWD and believed that it was an easter egg for 1x02 of Fear, when Madison first killed a walker with a fire extinguisher. It’s not a stretch for both to seed each other, since Fear already has many eggs pertaining to the main show (X).
If the 102 also refers to 8x03, then it could be foreshadowing Beth reaching D.C., as Abe and Co. were unable to.

I really love Tobias’ character, because I feel like most of us would react pretty similarly to the zombie apocalypse. We would know what it is ahead of time (because of the media impact) and would know not to treat it with kind words, but rather just straight forward violence (to defend ourselves). So yeah I hope he’ll stick around, cause so far he’s the only character who seems to actually be aware of the situation around him.
