Part of a calendar project at my school, the theme being "wizards". Featuring Nobody (my dnd character who's technically a cleric but eeeh, he's got the aesthetic down enough), The Wizardgoblinfrog (whom I love), and a worm in an apple with legs (is it the apple or the worm who has legs? the world will never know).

Grogu missed the Frog Lady and her husband and their son Tad. He’d had a lot of fun spending time with them on Trask, even though the rest of trip there had been less than ideal. He’d met some Mandos, almost been eaten by a mamacore, and had to deal with his dad leaving him behind when he could have been on an adventure. At least  the Frog Man had told him some great stories.
Grogu knew they were great stories because the Frog Lady had laughed so much while he told them and shook her head at him several times along with shaking a finger at him. Grogu knew from spending time with Peli that when someone looked like they were scolding you about a story, the story was well worth listening to.
The first story the Frog Man (Grogu didn’t really know how to pronounce his name because the Frog dialect was really tricky) told him was about how he met his partner. Apparently she had been working at a droid repair shop on Yerbana when he had been traveling with a group of Frog scientists. Their sample collection droid had malfunctioned and they brought it in for repairs.
The Frog Man said that it was love at first sight, which Grogu misunderstood initially as meaning they fell in love with the droid-smith shop. He could understand that. He loved work benches and tools and equipment and wished that Din Djarin would let him do more of the Razor Crest repair tasks, but after that whole blue wire/red wire thing, Grogu had been prohibited from helping on work like that.
No, the Frog Man had fallen in love with the Frog Lady the very time he saw her. Grogu thought the Frog Lady was very nice and she was smart and had been diligent in taking care of their offspring, but how do you just fall in love with someone you meet the very first time? Didn’t you need to get to know them? Understand their perspectives? Find out if they were a good cook? After all, if he’d known that the Mandalorian thought that ration packs were the height of cuisine he might have stayed on Sorgan or with Peli, who at least understood that dung worms were a delicacy not to be passed up. (No, not really. He loved his dad.)
The Frog Man said his partner had a certain softness to her eyes and her voice was like listening to a symphony. Grogu agreed that those were probably very good things. If you were going to spend you lifetime raising offspring with another person, you’d really want their company to pleasant, although he thought he would agree to disagree over what made someone sound like a symphony.
Grogu had asked the Frog Man how they had ended up separated, because he took a big risk letting his partner travel without him. What if she had decided to stay on Tatooine? That’s when both Frogs laughed long and loud. Grogu didn’t understand what was so funny but he figured it must have been a shared memory of something they had done together.
The Frog Man pointed out that Tatooine had very little water and frogs of all kinds really needed water to live their best lives. They weren’t Tuskens after all. Grogu nodded at that. He knew that the Tuskens loved the deserts of Tatooine more than anything and then he wondered if they also fell in love at first sight? He wondered how that worked given all the clothing and face coverings they wore? Maybe his dad, the Mandalorian would be able to explain that one. Mandos had the same problem as far as Grogu could tell.
Getting back to his story, the Frog Man told Grogu that a new species of mamacore had just been discovered on Trask and that the other Frog researchers had asked for his help in understanding its biology. Grogu had laughed at that. He was pretty sure that any mamacore’s biology was based on eating whatever was thrown its way, including metal prams, and humans in beskar armor.
At any rate, the Frog Man had travelled on a head knowing that his partner would follow as soon as she could. And that’s what happened. More or less. He also told Grogu that the trip they made would be imprinted on their off spring and continue through their genetic line well into the future.
Grogu said he hoped that didn’t mean they’d all want to go back to that ice-cube planet because he was pretty sure the spiders wouldn’t like it. Both Frogs had laughed at that.
No, their offspring would always remember him and the Mandalorian and the service they had provided in getting them safely to Trask, according to the Frog Lady. Grogu was a little overwhelmed by that. He had no idea that you could be born to like someone just because they had known you when you were nothing more than an egg.
Maybe that’s how love at first sight worked… or not. He’d loved Din Djarin pretty much from their very first meeting, but he was also pretty sure that he’d never met the Mandalorian when he was nothing more than an egg. It was a good thing humans didn’t store their eggs in jars like the Frog Lady had. Who knows what could have happened?
