A little while ago I made some fridge pickles

These guys.

Well they've sat a little longer than need to so tonight we popped them open to try~

They were a little salty, not super crisp. But firm. Taste wise will make again. Has been like by all, so will use the recipe and time wait again.

The jalapeno was similar texture. Good taste.

The onions honestly I feel shone through in texture and taste. I want to amend 2 jars of that for snacking, with jalapeños for hot dog and sandwhich topping, haha.

One of my two jars of fridge pickles. I put smashed garlic cloves, lovage, a little parsley, some purloined turmeric, jalapeno peppers, and a bit of black pepper in these. Unfortunately this is not a recipe for the impatient, and it won't be ready for a week.

I deeply did not want to cook but I made myself roast a ton of veggies before they went bad and made TWO kinds of tacos:

roasted sweet potato with feta, pepitas, black beans, and avocado sauce

roasted cauliflower with pickled jalapeño, radish, black beans, and avocado sauce

YUM!!!

mochi thinks its kinda hot but kinda annoying how much lime eats. on one held he works out regularly and as a tall young man has one of those ridiculously high metabolisms where he can eat like 12 donuts and 3 blizzards and still be in shape, so she gets it. also he looks really good so she cant complain. but on the other end there are (a bit too frequently occurring) mornings where she wants like. spam and eggs or something. and theres like 1 egg and zero spam since lime needs like 6 eggs for breakfast and they havent gone grocery shopping yet

#idk if anyones ever lived with someone like this but after a little while you want to strangle them #mochi and lime never fight but when they do its about food #feat. lime eating mochis cake leftovers (this happened more than once)#to be fair she does leave it in there for a while (takes a few bites every day to make it last longer)#to the point where the rest of the guild is like (isnt that old already...) (is she gonna eat it yet or...??)#i think this gets better once lime joins the m34th because he makes normal money regularly so they can buy a lot more food #seperate fridge in the garage for lime to keep more food #one of those dirty early 2000s white fridges you see in peoples garages #they are the pickle theory couple though so sometimes it works out where she doesnt eat pickles and gives it to him #hes a hungy boy
