I joined feralmoonlights magma tonight and had a lot of fun. I drew my boys who I never shared there and loved doing it. Thank you for all the fun that happened tonight and all the amazing art I saw coming out so beautifully.

First sun and moon belong to my space au I've been making for months. The second set is eclipse and sun from my forest guardians au that they too been in the making for months.

I don't know your Tumblr, but formdrop added the bird and nest in forest eclipses antlers they were too precious. Even more so that i think Eclipse would grow out his antlers so birds could nest in it and sunny feeds those birds (thank you formdrop). I made these quick sloopy doodles for that conversation that I colored for the heck of it. Forgive the sketchy doodles. If you like to see hit, read more. I didn't want the post to be too long . I went and did these fast and didn't have the power to do whole line art and coloring.

Okay so a convo made me remember that Icecloud and Foxleap become apprentices 4-5 moons after the three, which means Ferncloud either had four litters so the three could nurse while also having kits so much younger than them, or she just so happens to have milk despite not having kits OR her last litter was really held back. Mostly bringing this up because obviously Squilf and Leaf still can't nurse the three in BB and I was curious if Ferc was still going to nurse them since I know you gave away her last litter or if someone else will do that or if there's a definite answer for this detail yet.

Daisy did it! Her kits were recently weaned, but Sorreltail at the time was nursing FOUR kittens. That's a lot for one suckler to handle, so Daisy would help out which kept her milk coming.

So Daisy has it handled. Ferncloud is still reeling from horrifically losing THREE children in a short period of time. At this moment in time, she didn't feel ready for more.

But, anyway! Foxleap and Icecloud are NOT DustFern kittens in BB. They were shuffled. This is because Ferncloud has waaaay too few surviving kittens while Brightheart and Sorreltail exploded the gene pool. Their kits in BB are;

Ferncloud is the Educator of ThunderClan until her death in TBC. She lives long enough to confront her little brother, Ashfur, who is now from a younger litter. Dustpelt died in the Battle of the True Eclipse, while defending his last litter from Dark Forest warriors.

Additionally, Spotfur and Duststripe (prev. Sorrelstripe) are now Birchfall's kittens, in trade for Dovewing and Ivypool to go into the Firekin family. Toadstep is also still alive; the husband of Lionblaze.

Lilyheart hasn't had any kittens yet, though. I'm still holding on to Leafshade and Honey...something i forgot her name. ThunderClan is already pretty full of cats and she really didn't need to have them so young. Plus, she got seriously traumatized from how Seedpaw died, and she's the sort of mature person to realize she doesn't want to be responsible for young lives when that's still affecting her.

Snowbush, Ambermoon, and Dewnose all still exist, but were adopted to other couples! They're going to show up in other Clans. Cloud and Bright kept a single kitten from each litter.

Foxleap is probably going to be younger than he is in-canon, because I feel like he often gets lost in the massive Po3 Apprentice Generation. So, he'll be somewhere between Po3 and OotS, interacting with Dovewing and Ivypool as they grow up.

Icecloud, also shuffled in age, is also going to end up with a bigger role in AVOS-era stuff, he's transmasc and a fast friend of Alderheart when he joins ThunderClan after being raised by his mother Jessy as a kittypet. Him and Lilyheart make up Alderheart's misfit friend group.

(In general I think ThunderClan feels less bloated if the births are spaced out better.)

ohh my god ok so i love clangen and the WONDERFUL Nimaereth created a mod that lets you customize and import your own cats into the game and i’m obsessed. i’ve had zero time to draw so i’ve been creating characters from my own personal warrior cats ““worldbuilding”” project (plus my beloved lightningclaw of course).

the folks working on this game are incredibly smart and do all this work for free, and i respect the hell out of them for bringing together such a lovely fan project! definitely show them support if you can!

except for lightningclaw, who is the SkyClan deputy, all of these guys belong to PineClan, which is one of the four clans formed far in the north after several lake clan cats were wrongfully chased from their home. their territory borders MountainClan and ValeClan, while CavernClan makes their home in the cave system underneath the three territories. they make their camp in a pine forest, but their hunting grounds also include a muskeg dubbed The Frozen Mire by the cats. most of their ancestors come from either ShadowClan or SkyClan.

their territory also includes the outer edges of the Fox Hollows, home to an intelligent fox pack that long pre-dates the Clans. PineClan maintains an uneasy truce with the foxes over the strip of their territories that overlaps, and as such all PineClan apprentices are taught to speak a little bit of fox. while it doesn’t always stop natural predator conflict, they live in peace most of the time.

PineClan prides themselves on their wisdom and history. they have strong oral traditions, and some stories claim to date all the way back to the old forest. elders are revered to a greater degree than in other clans, and their stories are a favorite among apprentices of other clans at gatherings. PineClan also has a role called the Lorekeeper. they hunt but do not fight or patrol borders, however their main role is to record Clan history. a large stone wall, sheltered from the elements in an abandoned burrow, is painted on to record births, deaths, and changes in position (think kinda like Paleolithic cave paintings).

their build is lean and elegant, their fur kept sleek and well-groomed. dark coats are valued for nighttime hunting, while tabbies and tortoiseshells are great for hunting in trees. many of them, oddly enough, have large and pointy ears, which legend says they developed to listen for prey in the silent woodland. their scent is reminiscent of pine needles, with a muskier undertone from the wetland.

i won’t get into it too much here but it is important to note that all four clans have a special warrior called their Guardian. this warrior is stronger and wiser than the average clan cat, and their soul is continually reincarnated. though not technically a Guardian, the “original” soul comes from Moonchaser, who led the clan cats to their new northern home. there is a LOT of lore surrounding this bit but think like a mix between the avatar and the nerevarine.

anyway cats.

Eclipsestar (Eclipsestream): current leader of PineClan. she’s chill. has a very relaxed and open policy to outsiders (the northern Clans usually do to prevent inbreeding, but even by these standards she’s very welcoming). was very young to be appointed deputy by the previous leader, Wolfstar, so her inexperience and the need to grow up quickly does sometimes still show. however, she’s overall seen as a wise and peaceful leader.

Murkmist: eclipsestar’s deputy and longtime best friend. while she disagrees with some of eclipse's policies, they’re overall a good fit for each other. sly and crafty, she’s usually the first cat to send when dealing with the Fox Hollows. not above causing drama with the other clans, but she will do so in a manner that makes her seem completely uninvolved.

Frostmoon: the senior medicine cat, very old by the time most of these characters roll around. strict, cold, and deeply rooted in tradition. as an apprentice she was considered a prodigy, but like eclipse, she also lost her mentor at a young age, which led to her developing a deep desire to prove herself. this led to her severely mishandling a situation involving the Clan’s previous Guardian, and many cats (perhaps wrongfully, perhaps not) sadly ended up losing their trust in her.

Riverhaze: frostmoon’s former apprentice. nervous, a bit flighty, and eager to please. not a whole lot to say about him, but he’s a good healer and a nice dude. despite his mentor’s failings, he’s still close with her.

Silvertongue: the current Lorekeeper. not a kittypet since humans are gone in this world, i just thought the collar looked nice. though he probably does have outsider roots. clever, sassy, good-natured, and takes his job VERY seriously. also nightstep’s mate, which means he puts up with a lot of nonsense haha.

Nightstep: the current Guardian and main character of this hypothetical story (and also the cat iteration of my beloved skyrim character, teravyn, though they’ve kind of evolved into separate characters). adventurous, impulsive, and gets into more trouble than what’s good for him. kind to the point where some might call him naive, but to his credit his heart is in the right place, and he’ll grow into the role. however, his impulsivity is again a problem, because he can be absolutely terrifying in battle. very close with wolfstorm and considers her a sister, and his mate is silvertongue whom he loves very much. his other best friend is a former loner called mireclaw, who’s not featured here.

Wolfstorm: young warrior, found by the Clan as a kit. assumed to be a loner kit, but her mother is actually the MountainClan deputy Magpieshadow, who secretly left her kit with PineClan after her mate died and she felt unprepared to raise a kit alone. due to her MountainClan genes, she’s HUGE (and fluffy) compared to the average PineClan cat. to wolf, the warrior code is...more of a suggestion than a rule set. she’s sneaky and not above stealing prey to feed her own clan, but by starclan is she good at staying hidden. some believe her blessed by the (currently unnamed) patron of stealth. very close with both nightstep and silvertongue, as well as another warrior called mireclaw (not featured here).

Ashfrost: a background warrior. also not much to say about her, but i like her a lot. you will never ever find her in the midst of any drama--she is too laidback and too chill with everyone for that nonsense. however, gossip? she is MORE than happy to listen to it, just don’t make her get involved.

Height chart/further designs of the crew (PCs + some NPCs) of our pathfinder campaign in the Eclipse! I wanted to get an actual answer from the other players as to the heights of everyone because I defaulted to drawing Juno short like a disney anthro when actually they're huge.

Kjosev and Tereza look short. They aren't. Kjosev is 5'11"/1.8m, and Tereza is 5'8"/1.73m. Everyone else is just fuckin' huge.

Anyway ramblings about these people below the cut because they've been developed a bit more.

(Note: I'll refer to "the eclipse" a lot here. The Eclipse is a catastrophe in our homebrew world that lasted for roughly a year, where the sun and moon just vanished from the sky entirely. It was effectively an apocalypse, as crops and animals all died off, the world froze over, and societies broke down. This group is trying to live through that).

Characters from left to right, bottom to top:

Calim (Male Elunin Sorcerer, 6'2"/1.88m) - An elunin born blind, Calim was never treated like an adult among his clan due to his disability. He wasn't treated cruelly, but nobody expected anything of him. He left to try to find somewhere he could be treated as an equal, wandering the world before he got caught up in the eclipse.

Tereza (Female Human Commoner/Historian, 5'8"/1.73m) - A 36 year old bog-standard human from the northern kingdom. She worked in a great library as its director, in a happy, well-off life with her husband Florian and her daughter Florette. She was picking up special glasses for her daughter when the eclipse hit, in an entirely separate country from her own. Kjosev took a liking to her and the group has effectively adopted her, trying to take her back to her city to reunite her with her husband.

Florette (Female Human Child/Magical Princess, 3'5"/1.04m) - Tereza's rambunctious 5 year old, who loves trains and boats and thinks magic is boring. She was with her mom in the south when the eclipse hit. She was going to start school next year. She likes Kjosev, carrying around a talisman he gave her that she calls 'Kjosev Jr.'

Kjosev (Male Dusk Elf Druid, 5'11"/1.8m) - Former oracle of his kingdom, political prisoner/torture victim and then forest guardian, Kjosev's... been through some stuff. Outside of that one nasty multi-year incident in which he was imprisoned/tortured in the north (the same city Tereza is from, ironically), he's never left his woods, his life spent mostly isolated. He left to try to warn people about a premonition he had involving 'a great darkness.' He failed. His goal now is to protect Tereza and her daughter, and get them safely to their home -- even if the city left him traumatized.

Vartok (Male Gnoll Monk, 7'/2.13m) - An exiled gnoll, Vartok befriended a gnome at some point in his life. When he lost his arm, the gnome crafted him a new one, giving him a prosthetic. Vartok tries to help his former clan, even if they've rejected him outright, but still seeks a new one... which is how the party came onto him. He's effectively adopted them as his new clan. Florette is terrified of him.

Genrik (Male Dusk Elf Witch, 6'3"/1.91m) - A former teacher at the academy before the dusk elves were effectively destroyed, Genrik is what can best be described as... well, a dusk elf supremacist. He loathes humans and believes one day his people's kingdom will rise again. It won't. It doesn't stop him from repeating it, though. As he's an older dusk elf he suffers a madness that his people are often plagued by, his taking the form of losing all of his memories. He creates potions to store what he can before he forgets everything close to him, including the birth of his own daughter.

(Genrik's player has written down all of his stored memories, and if he ever falls or suffers from a bad critical, he wants there to be a roll to see what memory gets lost permanently as the potion shatters).

Juno (Genderless Elunin Warrior/Knight, 6'4"/1.93m) - Elunin are granted the option to choose their gender in a sort of coming-of-age ceremony, and Juno simply... never chose theirs. Not much else is known about them. They've lived for quite some time in civilized society -- an oddity for creatures that live primarily in the feywild -- working as a member of the Night Watch. They're effectively a rabbit batman cop. They got tied up in the party when the group may or may not have been responsible for setting a slaver's compound on fire.

Imrae (Female Drow Thaumaturge, 5'4"/1.63m) - She hasn't been introduced yet, so there's not AS much information to her, but my DM requested her be drawn anyway. All we know is that she's a drow lady who likes mysteries and is based off of Piper from FO4. I also insisted she get a big hat. Because big hat.

Why does Mudclaw have a connection to Sedgewhisker and if it's because she has powers then does that mean all of the PO12 have ghost cat buddies?

Specifically the "later additions" to the 12, aka Dovewing, Scorchfur, Sedgewhisker, and Larkfeather (Lark that Sings at Dawn) have a ghost cat buddy. These particular spirit cat guides are cats who weren't fulfilled in their past life and were chosen from their recent death to step up and guide these young ones to the older cats (aka - Jayfeather, Dawnpelt, Heathertail, Minnowtail, etc.)

Dovewing has Cinderpelt, which is my way of allowing her """reincarnation""" thing without actual reincarnation because I didn't really enjoy how it was done with Cinderheart in the books. Cinderpelt allows Dovewing to see great distances beyond what is in front of her, just as she can in the books. Dovewing's eyes turn blue when she uses her power, the same blue of Cinderpelt's eyes.

Scorchfur has Blackstar, who was killed in the battle between the clans that happened between Sunset and The Sight (take the Eclipse battle and move it here essentially). He wants to repent and do more to help the clans after all of the crimes that he helped carry out in his living life, hence him stepping up. He gives Scorchfur the power to know what cats have been in The Dark Forest the previous night, a rancid stench coming off of them. When Scorchfur uses his power and scents a Dark Forest Cat, his eyes turn a bright amber, the same amber of Blackstar's eyes.

Sedgewhisker has Mudclaw, who was killed in the WindClan civil war just as he was in the books. He feels immense guilt for how he harmed his clan and wishes to save them now more than ever. We get that first hint of him actually in my initial Po12 fanfic where he warns Harepaw, but his duty doesn't come until Sedgekit is born. He gives Sedgewhisker the ability to speak in the minds of all those "blessed", so all cats gifted with powers, no matter where she is. She can be all the way in SkyClan's gorge and chat with Jayfeather in his head, but not Hollyleaf as she doesn't have powers. When using this power, her eyes turn amber, the same amber of Mudclaw's eyes.

Larkfeather, who used to be knows as Lark that Sings at Dawn, came to RiverClan after her own power guided her. When Larkfeather wants to go somewhere, she knows exactly how to get there, regardless of if she's ever been. She has Feathertail as her guardian, the she-cat wanting to help RiverClan and her friends one last time after her life was cut short. Larkfeather sees an aurora path that leads her to her destination, and is how she finds RiverClan despite being just a 6 moon old cat traveling from the mountains without ever visiting the lake before. When this power is activated, Larkfeather's eyes turn a bright blue, the same blue of Feathertail's eyes. (Fun Fact - she chooses the nam Larkfeather specifically after Feathertail)

Sorceress: Master of Greyskull by Jade Gretz

The wind howled around Castle Greyskull, carrying whispers of shadows and despair. Teela, the Sorceress, stood on the parapet, her emerald cloak whipping in the gale. Below, the once lush forests of Eternia had withered, draped in a suffocating shroud of darkness. Skeletor, the embodiment of malice, had finally woven his ultimate spell, casting an eternal eclipse that plunged the world into a chilling twilight.

The once vibrant Castle Greyskull, her home, mirrored the world's decay. Its majestic spires were shrouded in inky tendrils, the magical guardians, once playful and bright, now morphed into grotesque shadows, echoing Skeletor's twisted will. Fear, a serpent constricting her heart, threatened to paralyze her. Yet, despair was a luxury she couldn't afford.

Within the castle, He-Man, drained of his usual bravado, stood at the foot of the Council of Elders. Their withered forms emanated a faint glow, the last embers of Eternia's fading magic. "He-Man," rasped the Elders' lead, his voice brittle as dry leaves, "the power of Grayskull weakens with each passing moment. Skeletor's magic bleeds the land, leaving us vulnerable."

He-Man, ever the beacon of hope, forced a smile. "We'll find a way. We always do." But even his voice held a tremor of doubt. Teela knew that relying solely on He-Man's physical strength wouldn't suffice. This battle demanded cunning, a weapon Skeletor wielded with chilling proficiency.

As they strategized, the ground trembled. From the depths of the castle, a monstrous entity, birthed from Skeletor's darkness, surged forth. Its form, a writhing mass of claws and teeth, pulsed with unnatural power. Panic flared in the Eldred Chamber, but Teela stood firm, her staff crackling with defiance.

"Leave this to me," she declared, her voice ringing with the magic of ancient spells. She channeled the last remnants of Grayskull's power, weaving a shield of light that momentarily dimmed the monstrosity's malevolent glare. But the battle drained her, leaving her breathless and shaky.

Since we are celebrating the first anniversary of Nu:Carnival, here's to you a completely ot list of my five favorite h-scenes of the game.

I started two days after launch and in this long year I've grinded 200 rooms with the strength of a thousand suns and a lot of patience, so here's my rambling about this crappy game that makes me cry at every cliché put up like I've never seen one in my life <3

5) Quincy Forest Guardian Room 5

I know, all the SR h-scenes are a bit cringeworthy, both in length and in how they are written, and it was only by re-watching them that I actually realized how much they have improved over time.

Anyway, this one is hands down my favorite because I love how super soft Quincy is with Eiden despite how at first impression it may seem otherwise. In general all of Quincy's rooms are super wholesome, even those of Eclipse event, but here a little bit of the atmosphere, a little bit of the location, make it even more intimate.

By the way, being precisely among the first scenes, compared to all the other members you really notice the difference.

((Then excuse me but Quincy is an absurd simp for Eiden, like, he keeps going along with any of his shit without blinking from the second zero?? iconic))

4) Edmond Sweet Aroma Room 2 || Kuya Kitsune Dream Room 5

I KNOW There are supposed to be only one scene for point, but I am weak and indecisive so I put both💀

Let's start with Edmond, I'm going to put my hands up and say that all the rooms in this event have emotionally destroyed me, BUT!

This scene because a) it finally removed the Hamletic doubt we all had about Edmond whether his nipples were really inverted and not just a collective mass hallucination and b) because it is like Room 2 of White Lover (Valentine's Day event) but better. Edmond is a tsundere and so far we all know that, but this was actually the event where he embraced his bottom being and seeing him so surrendered in Eiden's arms behind some trees... Yes.

Usually room 2 of events don't say much to me made a few exceptions (COFF KUYA COFFCOFF DANTE COFFCOFF YAKUMO AT HALLOWEEN) But here I swear to you the first time I saw it I gasped so hard I had to watch it a second time instantly to make an indecent amount of screens, and flood my friends' memory with endless spam on WhatsApp.

Kuya, on the other hand, there is only one thing that makes me love this room madly namely: the moment when Eiden asks him if he can take off his glasses because he wants to look at his face, and he goes along with it by doing so🥺

It's a single gesture, but the very fact that he listened to him instead of continuing to fuck him against the wall>>>>

I really liked Kuya in this event even though he was still an unqualified asshole; but he has his own traumas about abandonment and stuff so we forgive him. By the way those glasses in his skin keep killing me, it was like the last thing I expected and I don't know if I love the fact that they look so good on him, or the endless amount of memes that resulted then LMAO

(( Also bonus because Eiden is adorable in this event and in this scene in particular <3))

3) Dante Icy Equilibrium Room 5

Dante is like my biggest ??? within this game ahahaha, I like his design a lot but at the moment I'm still not too fond of him.

BUT HERE MY GUYS Apart from the fact that I LOVE the skin of this event despite the dubious gravity with which the coat is on his shoulders; for the first time his rooms are not just endless scenes of him fight with Eiden every second to prove that he's the best like children, but I really felt a little more depth, and the fact that there was the first kiss between the two of them AAAAAH turned the whole thing around because it went to a search for even emotional intimacy if you can call it that. The whole part where Eiden drags him into the room, and he laughs as he loosens his hair, and he teases him because that's his first kiss and Dante is pretty much as inexperienced as Edmond even though he doesn't look>>>>

I was moved. It was beautiful and I'm glad that Dante is slowly overcoming this terrible wall of arrogance to mask his weaknesses!

Then, really, he is super cute in this event so easy win in my heart.

2) Kuya Afternoon Daze Room 5

Okay guys, Kuya again because this old shit attends to any form of control I have and makes me cry as if I were five years old and seeing The Lion King for the first time.

Anyway, honorable mention to the walking stick, rightly so after glasses for eyesight, the arthritis stick is also important. It cracks me up that until now he has literally been an old man watching others sweat and bust their asses to organize the tea party LMAO

Rush this room unseemly, obviously , and everything I would have expected, EVERYTHING, given even the premise of Room 2, was not what I actually read.

GUYS This room is 18 minutes of Eiden trying to make out with Kuya with all the force in the world. That is, his only goal is to stick his tongue in the old fox's mouth, and Kuya goes along with him only to push him away half-impressed/scared when he realizes he's enjoying it a little too much. Kuya be like "ehww what's that, feelings??"

Kuya completely wasted after this event, I'M WHEEZING; By the way the way he looks at Eiden is illegal, it gave me goosebumps!!! Oh, and of course after breaking out dick all last event blabla young master you can't hug me blabla NOW not only is Eiden all over him with his legs folded in the worst weave ever that not even playing tetris, but while kissing him he's holding him so close and even running his hands through his hair.

I will keep screaming until the end of time, I tell you.

1) Edmond Sweet Aroma Room 5

So. At this point no one is surprised probably ahahah but I think I will never recover from this room.

Months later it remains the high point of my experience on Nu:Carnival, and not only because Edmond's skin literally generated panic for a week as soon as they revealed the artwork, but also because it kicks off what I like to call the "kissing revolution"

Before this room, this event, there were very few onscreen kisses, maybe like two? One with Olivine and maybe one from Quincy; the rest a few scattered among various rooms of R cards like Kuya or of course Blade's treacherous smoochies. Which was consistent with the fact that IN THEORY this is a porn game, no one cares about context more than the BL. IN PRACTICE after 8 months and three rollercoaster events of excitement, the devs started to make EVERYONE kiss. Guys, there has been the hard lemon fair from August to December: Quincy, Olivine, Dante, now Kuya; resulting in a deepening of the clan member and their stories, and this gives me so much joy every time I think back on it.

ANYWAY BACK TO US.

Edmond in this Room getting his hair untied and slammed against a tree ( what can I say but YES) but most importantly letting Eiden kiss him after he practically confessed that he never did it and didn't understand the point of it because he was forced to be repressed all his life that he never desired intimacy with anyone.

And I was already in tears here, but what destroyed me were the last three minutes when Eiden and Edmond are talking and Eiden at one point takes Edmond's face in his hands, looks at him, and leaves kisses on his eyelids, cheeks, nose, and mouth. And Edmond looks at him and says nothing AND I SWEAR, I SWEAR I felt in my heart, in my bones the realization that he had in that moment. An awakening, an endless gay panic and I closed that screen with the knowledge that Edmond had just become my fave boy and that I would probably sell a kidney to pull all his banners.

Well, this endless rambling has come to an end!!! Honestly, I still have so much more to say but I will contain myself for this time; see you next year with the updated version which honestly, if I already have to reduce myself like this at the first banner it will all be a mess, I can already feel it.

"Brothers Under the Sun" ☼ Chapter 1

Crow was a lone Lightbearer tormented by the sins of his past life. Faolan, the Young Wolf, knew about the sins of the Forsaken Prince and knew it became personal. As the shadows of inner demons both Lightbearers had, they would find kindred spirits within each other and a brotherhood begins. Like any relationship, however, there will always be challenges.

☼ Prologue ☼

The forest was holding its breath. Nary a bird or insect would make a sound. The scent of smoke thickened the air around Faolan. The edges of their robes were blackened and burned. Their knuckles whitened under their dark gloves as they gripped a fiery sword. In front of them, an oak tree’s bark was stripped clean off by the blade, revealing the darkened insides.

Faolan threw their helmet to the side, a clear crack streaked across the dark visor like lightning in a stormy night sky. Their unkempt brown hair bristled, and rings of orange light shone around their pupils, creating two perfect solar eclipses.

“YAAAAAAAAAAGH!” Faolan let out a pitiful battle cry. Their voice was hoarse, and their throat strained.

The Warlock struck against the oak. Some lands hit precisely, ash and bark flying out with every impact. Most, however, landed clumsily. Their grip weakened, their footing slipped, and they landed knees-first next to the tree. Faolan managed to anchor themselves by leaning on it before they dropped their sword. It disappeared in mid-air.

After a minute, Faolan’s Ghost would finally show himself. His shell slightly twitched at the sight of his Guardian. He hasn’t seen them that ragged since the Red War. His one eye blinked when he heard them coughing. He didn’t need to scan them to see their lungs straining under usage. He slowly floated over to meet them. Another ragged cough, and the Ghost could see Faolan cough up flecks of embers. The rings of light in the Warlock’s eyes dimmed only slightly.

The sound of cawing caught the pair’s attention. Faolan would bristle up again as they would struggle to stand up. They stared at a black crow that just so happened to be making a racket up on top of an unscathed tree

Who's interested in a forest spirit AU where they boys guard an ancient forest that has some very important herbs and plants with magical properties and they're so fucking sick of humans destroying everything they touch that most humans are kill on sight but YN has been charged with going into this forest (for commiting a minor crime of trying to steal medicine for insert family memeber here) and so they have to bring back some very rare herbs but they're also incredibly careful about where they step and what they actually do in the forest cause they understand that this is basically sacred land in ancient times and the forest creatures are all kind of In The Know (animatronics are actual animals, so REAL BEAR FREDDY with blue markings, Chika as like... Not a phoenix type bird but something similar, Big wolf Roxy, borderline small dragongator Monty etc) and they are BEING WATCHED. They're forest guardians but the human hasn't done anything 'bad' yet. So they're just keeping an eye on them. The DCA boys are a little different. They're not just guardians but protectors of the forest and humans are very real threats. they've already destroyed the edges and shrank the realm they and their companions can live in, so when this new human shows up they converse with the guardians and are surprised at what they hear, so they also watch. OVERALL they are shapeshifters, their true forms are massive and beastly (KINDA similar to them mer's but also vastly different, idk how to explain it without working it out as drawing first) but they also have their humanoid version, and in the event of an emergency can combine to create eclipse, but that is a last case scenario because he is pure destruction and the forest too would suffer from something that powerful being unleashed. ANYWHO, Human has a fall and gets pretty fucked up in the leg. They are not moving any time soon. And now comes the standoff. The spirits show themselves. but is it to help? Spoiler, yeah, it is.

There was once an elf... and a prince... Both of their souls were crafted and born beneath the stars. One settled its roots deep within the rich soils of the Emerald Canopy among the dew drops glistening like jewels; the other forged its worth emblazoned on brilliant stone and metal for the strength of the Malachite Empire. These two souls walked a parallel life. Different ambitions, perseverances, and close companions kept them apart until their paths had no choice but to converge. For the wily goddess and her astute diligence took great care in knitting together a woven tapestry of their fates with her spools of red thread. It mattered not, how different the moon was from the sun. The elf was a skilled healer. His ability to stitch together broken skin was as equally impressive as his proficiency in slicing it open. With knives of silver dancing between his fingertips, the Jadeite Warrior's battle stance never failed to inspire a performance filled with awe for onlookers — unless it was his blade tipped in poison pointed at your neck. As the remaining sole survivor of the empire's brutal massacre, the elf stumbled across the young Prince of Malachite at the hour of daylight. The time when sunbeams frolic across the glade to thwart the unseen evils lurking in the shadows. Those very dangers concealed as harmless plants ensnared the prince, mortally wounding him. It took every shred of strength left in his lithe frame to escape their deadly vines and make it to the seemingly peaceful glen. Unaware of the twirling knife and surly gaze pausing every so often to analyze the most vulnerable spots on his body. There were plenty. Though the elf does not harm the prince. Curiosity overtakes his senses, more puzzled at the stupidity of why a human would brave such perils? And for what cost? He heals the prince — just enough to inquire about such things. Only to discover that the flames and ferocity that once annihilated those he loved will change trajectory, becoming a raging inferno that burns down the very empire itself. But that fire is flickering out. The prince is frail. Much weaker beyond the grievous bodily injuries inflicted by the forest's ruthless guardians. The only heir to the throne is dying. A terrible illness from birth. In his first and final battle, the prince is searching for a divine healer to strengthen his cause. Or a deranged warrior that will set off the hungry ignition powerful enough to devour the heinous empire alive. The goddess laughs. Red strings tug and tangle at the ends as the beings she created struggle in vain. In mortality. But their fate is set in stone, spun by the delicate threads wrapped seamlessly around her fingertips. A curse or a blessing? She wonders, with a sly glint in her star-filled eyes, what they will deign their destiny as in the legends that will be passed down to countless generations to follow. For who knows what is to come when the moon eclipses the sun?

A once proud member of a tribe of wickens, who's nature magic helped heal the wounded and sick. It was during the harvest moon is where she feels the season change to that of true magic and nature becoming synced to her. However she was born within a time where females with any sort of magic, were seen as witches, and forces of darkness. Harvley happen to be one of the unlucky who were captured and was about to be burned alive. It would've been have not for a group of feral creatures to run rapid through the area, giving Harvley the chance to escape. She was weakened, her tribe were ether captured and killed, or they fled to someplace far. Leaving her alone, and badly burned on parts of her body. It was when she was given another chance to live a new life, and ended becoming the first ever fallower to Dusk Nightmaria, who was healed by Forzati due to the injuries. Harvley's name is a mix between Harvest Moon, Halloween and Festival. She is the oldest of the Eclipse Sisters, with her being also the most mysterious. Being able to perform spells that the deities gifted her, which can range from healing, to nature manipulation, animal communication and taming, to dark spells that can be seen as curses, poison and fire. She mostly stays within forest theme areas as it is more of her calling, singing songs that can be almost hypnotic in ways. Her voice can be described as soothing yet sinister, she can provide help when asked for something, yet requires something in return. If her eyes were to glow a certain way, it will depend on her mood and what magic she will use. While isolated at times, she does not mind some company, should someone come across her. While still able to perform her old tasks, there are now points where her more wicked side will come out and torment those who try and fight her. While at times can be wicked, her more calm and caring side is more common, where she isn't as hostile. In fact should there be anything she would never harm, are innocent children, her song is to lure them away from danger and into a safer location. She would watch over until they are able to return home, and is consider a guardian. While others see her as a witch and monster. Those of Wondaria know not to cross her, for her wrath isn't something anyone should try and mess with. She serves under both Dusk Nightmaria and Forzati.

My Owl House AU

I'm thinking that I'm going to start talking about my Cardinal Hunting TOH AU (name open to change). SO that's what this post will be about!

The AU contains two main concepts. First that Hunter runs away after the events of Hollow Mind, and second that the strength of one's bond with their Palismen can lead to some.. magical changes.

This leads to the premise of Hunter and Flapjack bonding, and the changes that come from that. The main focus is of Hunter's relationship with Flapjack and how that changes his view on the world and other people, and also how he evolves from "Golden Guard" to "Hunter". AND it's about how those changes aren't just mental, but there's some physical changes as well (the big spice of the AU lol)

The longer Hunter spends time with Flapjack the more he notices changes. At first it's simple itching and minor swelling along his lower arms, back, and lower legs. Over time he starts noticing small feather-like wooden barbs growing from these areas. Hunter at this point is still living in the castle (set between Eclipse Lake and Hollow Mind).

By the time the events of Hollow Mind happen Hunter is used to plucking stray feathers off his clothes. His behaviour/instincts has changed slightly (he believes it to be because he's "betraying the emperor by not sacrificing flapjack until later in the AU). These align with the developmental stages of real life cardinals.

Once he has officially run away after Hollow Mind these changes speed up as Hunter's main friend and ally during this period is Flapjack. The feathers grow more uncontrollably, his nails begin to turn to claws as the skin of his hands and feet toughen and scale up (similar to a real birds foot, though less extreme).

Hunter gains more natural affinity towards nesting and safety, at this point stumbling upon the Palismen Queen in the forest who takes interest in his situation. There it's explained that at one point, far in the past, the bond between Palismen and their witches/magic holders were stronger and that the magic of both would intermingle to create a representation of their bond. This could lead witches to gaining boosts to their natural abilities (for instance, a bond between an eagle-like palismen and a witch may result in the witch getting increased eyesight).

However such things "mysteriously" got rarer until it became more fiction than fact. Hunter begins living with the wild Palismen in the woods and acts as their protector (partly fuelled by his guilt of aiding in the deaths of many).

I have less planned event wise after this, just some vague stuff about Hunter becomin a sort of guardian of magic and somewhere along there meeting back up with Luz and Eda, but YEAH that's the rough outline!

There's some differences for other characters too in the AU. Like Gus getting better at tricking people's senses when it comes to illusion magic as he bonds with his Palisman, fuelled by the nature of his palisman being a chameleon. Willow getting a better sense of the sky due to hers being similar to an earth bee and possibly getting better at communicating with certain plants?.
