what are the odds that the two most well known musical artists in the country would both release highly anticipated albums around april 2024 and i would listen to them both and go “good! but i thought i’d like them more” both times. and for some godforsaken reason post malone is there too

3. Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic
HAHA there is no process XD more seriously, i get a ~vibe, which could either be a sentence that I really really like the sound/feel of, or a really vague premise but one that I feel like .... not emotionally... idk, a premise with a specific tone/mood but I can feel that tone/mood, if that makes any kind of sense whatsoever. So like, "robert identity but make it sad and introspective" kinda except I dont think of the mood in words, more just feelings :waves hands vaguely:
And then I usually have to let it percolate a little longer, because I have no clue what the actual story to go with this idea would be. If it's a line I think of, sometimes I try writing with that line as the opening line, and sometimes that works great and I bang out a fic in a day, and sometimes that epically fails haha. But yeah, i put the whole bundle on a back burner until I have this insane random burst of OMG INSPIRATION and then i wrote like crazy and either write until the fic reaches an end point or write until i run out of inspiration, at which point the fic then sits on my laptop forgotten. It's a 50% chance if i go back to it, at that point asdkfjas
6. Do you have your work beta'd? How important is this to your process?

flos is my one and only beta, and honestly i use her services much less these days but since she is my one and only, that means my fics are mostly not beta-ed at all asldkff but she's my lifeline for coming up with fic endings for me, because i write based on ~vibes only and never have a plan, so I inevitably write myself into some corner and panic and beg for flos to help me.
oh and she also throws fic ideas at me nonstop and i usually write them for her eventually, although there's one fic idea she's glaring at me now to write for her that im not writing :covers eyes:
oh and also flos helps fix my abysmal spelling, except for when we butt heads over canadian versus american spelling XD
I sang her praises like CRAZY in this ask which you also sent me hidey which is why I think you've got some sneaky-sneak scheme going on here to get flos more love which i am TOTALLY SUPPORTIVE OF. LETS TELL EVERYONE HOW AWESOME FLOS IS.
18. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process? How do you come up with titles?
I title them after the process! I title them when I have AO3 open and everything else filled in, and then I go FUCKING TITLES and google. i generally google poems and song lyrics, search it like "quotes about identity" or "poems about losing love" or whatever. and then I slap a phrase in that title box on AO3 and send the fic out into the void.

I’m soooo curious (read: nosy) too. But yknow I think this is actually the best approach for her. She’s come out of this whole mess looking classy, cool and professional (which I’m sure only serves to infuriate some people that can continue to remain irrelevant). As much as I’d love for Florence to publicly spill somewhere down the line, I don’t think that would do her any good even if it were to be years from now. If anything, it would just give those same people more headlines/attention/exposure. Which I’m sure is exactly what they’re craving but Florence has been very smart not to engage. For me, her silence really speaks volumes.
#better to let it stay dead and dusted#though I wouldn’t put it past a crew member or someone else form the cast to say something#also I think given how Florence’s professional team supported her during the Venice Film Festival#along with how the press favored her over other people#shows that there was plenty of inside industry chatter#she clearly wasn’t affected so the problem wasn’t her#unfortunately this means Harry was caught in the crossfire but he’s also stayed silent on this whole mess too#and thankfully moved on as well to keep winning big#they’re playing it the right way#this of course doesn’t stop me from wishing I was in their shit-talking group chat 😭#from the cast*#team flo#florence pugh

3. Reality Dating TV Show for @flosculatory
Okay, so I haven't written actual words of this yet (flos actually texted me when I posted the wips list like ??? bitch you havent even written that yet, and i was like OKAY BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THAT OUTLINE THO)
flos and i wrote the outline together, for the record. flos is the one who has actually watched the ultimatum on netflix lolol
So the premise is like couples go onto the show and basically one of them wants to get married and the other doesnt? And they mingle w the other couples for 5 days and have the option to just marry their current partner then. Or they can continue onward and then pick someone else from one of the other couples to cohabitate with for 3 weeks. and then after those 3 weeks they go back to their original partner for 3 weeks, and then at the end decide if they want to marry their original partner or the other rando they picked lololol.
(did i mention that flos actually watched this :eyes: love you boo)
SO STARTING PAIRINGS ARE
Dom/Mal (Dom proposed)
Rob/Nash (Rob proposed)
Eames/Saito (Saito proposed)
Arthur/Ariadne (Arthur proposed)
After the five days of mingling Rob/Nash run off into the sunset together. An excerpt from the outline:
On matching day, Saito chooses Rob but when it’s time for Rob to choose, he’s really hesitant, then looks at Nash, Nash has a eureka moment of omg wait you actually want to marry me????
Rob: uh yeah, thats why i proposed to you in the first place, idiot
Nash: i know but i just couldnt think you ACTUALLY wanted me you deserve BETTER but now i see saito is everything you could want, should want, but you still want ME???
Rob: youre so stupid and i love you
Nash: omg we should get married
Rob: YOURE SO STUPID AND YES WE SHOULD GET MARRIED
Nash: fuck what are you waiting for then???
So then the others pick other people to cohabitate with for three weeks. The selection bit is a hilarious hot mess and the final cohabitation pairings are:
Arthur/Eames
Ari/Mal
Cobb/Saito
We have so much thought put into literally every pairing in this, both og relationship and cohabitation relationships. Like, the fact that Saito was attracted to Eames because Eames didn't give two shits about Saito's money, but now they've been together a long time and Eames still doesn't give two shits about Saito's money and all the responsibilities Saito has running his huge corporation.
And Arthur proposes to Ari because he's just kinda following this plan in his head and he's like, okay this isnt explosive but is it really ever like that irl?? we get along well together and i like you and you like me so why not? And when he and Eames end up together they're both sorta stuck together by last resort because everyone else picks each other, so A/E go into the 3 weeks like okay looks we're just biding our time to get back to the others. And Eames starts coaching Arthur on how to properly woo Ariadne and Arthur talks Eames through various emotional things and it's only when they go back to their og partners that they realize how much they liked each other.
Dom wants to settle down and be Domestic AF and Mal is like BUT I AM A FREE SPIRIT AND WANT TO TRAVEL AND DO WILD THINGS. When she and Ari get paired they go wild and sneak off and act all crazy then have a scare and go back to their respectively dull partners like okay yes calm is good for a reason (but still ultimately end up with each other)
Saito loves how sharp Dom is business-wise and also the fact that Dom does want to settle down and be domestic. It's nice for Saito to have someone to talk business things over with cuz Eames never cared and didn't want to hear about it.
Oh and also Rob/Nash come back on for like a Celebrity Coaching thing right before the very end and everyone else on the show is like what the fuck?? you were just here, you’re not stable enough to be giving us advice!
Anyway final pairings at the end of it all are:
Rob/Nash
Cobb/Saito
Arthur/Eames
Ariadne/Mal
It's gonna be SO GREAT seriously. I am very excited. Flos is threatening to fly to America to force me to write this ASAP because she wants this story to exist already and you know what I DO TOO OKAY
