Nachdem ich ja bereits von meinem Test der Fujifilm X100T berichtet hatte, folgt hier eine kleine Auswahl von Testfotos und ein Fazit. Das Fotografieren mit dieser Kamera war eine Freude und die Ergebnisse gefallen mir wirklich gut. Allerdings hat die Kamera sich für mich etwas unpraktisch angefühlt, da ich bei der Motivauswahl einfach die Flexibilität eines klappbaren Bildschirms brauche. Und als ich noch einmal darüber nachdachte, für welche Zwecke ich denn momentan eine zweite Kamera brauche, bin ich doch bei dem Prinzip der “Immer-dabei-Kamera” gelandet, wofür dieses Kamera ein bisschen zu groß ist.

Die 35 mm Festbrennweite ist schon sehr schön und wenn der Bildschirm klappbar wäre, hätte ich die Größe wohl gern in Kauf genommen, aber unter’m Strich hat es einfach nicht ganz gepasst.

Traffic police can be fun when you’re in the right country

Pyongyang, DPRK

Traffic is often controlled by police members regulating the flow onto crossroads and junctions despite traffic lights being in place as well. The traffic police members as many other state employees wear gorgeous uniforms and even pop out cool sunglasses once the sun shows out. Many of them appear to be female. A fact that drew a lot of attention in the past.

Due to the nature of my fixed lens camera the only way to zoom is by using my feet. On one occasion the traffic lady saw the van with the governmental tourism agency emblem on the door before we actually turned right. When I was on a good height to shoot out of the open window she gave me a broad smile. People are humans after all. The system in which they live doesn’t change the fact a smile will be reflected almost everywhere in the world.
