"And she danced" - Lady Aurora by the Dalton Highway by Abhishek Srivastava Via Flickr: My first sighting, and one of the first attempts of capturing the breathtakingly spectacular natural phenomenon of Aurora Borealis. Took this picture in Northern Alaska, approximately 70 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Drove on Dalton Highway, one of the lonliest roads in the world, in frigid temperatures to get here. The weather was supposed to be cloudy and I was worried I wouldn't be able to see the Northern Lights; but the skies cleared up and boy, did she dance that night! Can't wait to go back again, hoping to catch a few more glimpses of the gorgeous lady!
