HELLO EVERYONE, i know it took an while this is chapter two of mine fic and i hope you guys love it how I loved to write.

Remembering this au is not mine is from @bones-of-a-rabbit au and they give me the permission to continue this story but enjoy.

You were sitting and watching the TV, still thinking about what had happened earlier. It was the middle of the night, so it was a lot easier to think about. You were so distracted by everything that had happened that you didn’t even take notice of the noise of splashing water. Where was that coming from?

Still slightly dizzy from the fatigue you were feeling, you walked to the sound coming from your window.

Down in the sea, there were two (or three, you weren’t sure) playing quietly. Splashing each other with water, they were making sounds that to others would be frightening, but to you were adorable.

Suddenly, one of the fish looks at you, and you see those piercing purple eyes staring at you with a childish and adorable smile, as if asking you to play that night.

You just wave down at him, and then you hear another cry, but this time it was much quieter. It made you laugh and then something popped into your mind.

When you were still a kid, and when Eclipse still fit in the palm of your hand, he lived in the aquarium. He was a pretty darn sneaky fish, whenever there wasn’t someone watching him, he would quickly devour one of the other fish. He would then pretend to be innocent so you wouldn't scold him, nor would he be fearful of your gaze. Most of the time he escaped punishment, but there were certain times you caught him red handed. One of the times you caught him in the act of devouring a beta who was trying to fight him.

"Eclipse, how many times have I told you not to eat the betas here at home? God, I don't know what to do with you, I give you the tastiest fish food we have every day and you... Wait, you're a carnivore, aren't you?" The little fish only made a tiny sound that sounded like a purr mixed with a hiss. You always wondered what kind of fish he was, as he seemed to be a mixture of several at the same time, so it was hard to know. That didn't matter now, as you at least knew why he was always eating the other fish in the aquarium. He didn't eat the fish food you gave him, so maybe he preferred live prey? You think for a bit and after a few minutes of just him doing little squeaks of curiosity and the sounds of the aquarium, you finally have an idea. You run out of the room to get some things.

You took longer than he was used to, and that gives the merman a strange feeling. The two of you were almost inseparable. Whenever you came back from your beach hunt, you would sit near the aquarium and talk to him. At least that's what it looked like. He didn't understand you, but it was fun just to hear you saying certain words while he nodded in agreement.

After a few hours, you came back with a naughty smile on your face, and you put your hand in the cold water of the aquarium and took Eclipse by the waist and put him gently in a bucket and carried it out of the house. He was a little scared, but at the same time curious. He stuck his head out from the bucket and saw something, as if it were a bigger puddle of water filled up to the rim. He made a sound of concern that for you comes out as if it were a small suspicious whistle, and a little laugh comes out of your lips.

"Don't worry, it won't hurt you and it's actually a way that I can feed you properly. Just wait a bit here, okay? I'll be right back.” You slowly put him in the pool, leaving him alone. It was a little shallower than where he was used to, but he started exploring that new place. There wasn't much to see. It was a light blue color and it smelled like something had just happened, at least the water seemed deep enough for him to move around.

After what seemed like days (for him), you return and put something in the pool. There was a live fish swimming peacefully in the place that was now a new home given to him. He wouldn't let the invader escape, in a very fast movement he got his small fangs into that fish, tearing it apart and devouring it. You were quite impressed at his sheer strength considering he was very small. He managed to destroy and devour the fish in seconds. You moved around the pool and added another fish, this time dead, and almost automatically he went up and did the same thing he did to the other one.

You stayed like that for hours, until you realized that he was getting tired, and that you hadn't been face to face with him for a long time. It was late in the day, so why not get in the pool and play with your friend? You took off your flip flops and put your feet in the pool just enough so that water only reached your ankles. It was very cold, but it was just for a little playtime, so you wouldn't get too wet. You sat on the floor of the pool, the water only coming up to your waist, and called Eclipse with a whistle. He already turned towards you thinking it's another invader, but when he sees it's you, he swims happily making small sounds like a cat meowing, but the noises were completely distorted by the water.

Oh god, why was he so cute?

For a few hours you just sat there, petting his head while the merman just whistled happily.

That was a memory you would never forget. Being pulled back to the present, you wonder if he still remembers that day. After all, it was years ago, and he was so much happier with what you think were his baby-brothers, but it didn't hurt to try at least one thing.

As he played with Moon, picking him up by the waist and throwing him into the water like a ball, he heard an old sound. It was a sound his mind had long forgotten, but because of the person who made the sound, the memories came rushing back like a fast river and he looked in your direction. Slowly he makes the same sound using the whale voice and along with that strange meow that was now well recognized like a big happy "ruupt". So he still remembered, huh? It brought you comfort.

To Sun and Moon you were something strange that was slowly creeping into their lives, but you had never hurt Eclipse, and to tell you the truth, they were so much happier than their brother had finally left the cave he’d been hiding in for years.

That was a good sign, wasn't it?

Welp is ready is not the best but i hope everyone enjoy

Editing with an update to everyone interest in this: I got the ok from bones, and i am happy to say that yes is gonna have an chapter two i am planning to not to be long but i hope i see you guys when i post the next chapter.

This is an fic inspired on the AU from @bones-of-a-rabbit i really hope you like it and the formating is bad bc of mobile i am so sorry:

You met that fish, or whatever it was, when you were a little kid, saving him from a seagull and starvation.

Of course like every kid, you wanted to be with him, in an aquarium and for a long time that worked, he lived in your aquarium and you fed him and talked to him for months, but you knew he wasn't happy, I mean he seemed to be happy, but for you he was sad trapped there.

In one of the conversations you had with the eclipse (the name you had given him), you touch the glass of the aquarium and talk to him a little: "I know you look happy, and that you're probably faking it so you don't worry me..but eclipse, are you really happy here? one turn for yes and two for no".

For a long time he doesn't answer you just floating, as if he was thinking what to say to you, and then he goes around twice, and what hurt you was right, with a pain in your chest you grab a bucket (he was the size of a medium salmon) and puts him in there, leaving the house in the middle of the night, he looked totally confused, and why you were so quiet, had he done something wrong? Has he made you angry? Quickly eclipse starts spinning inside the bucket doing tricks, sounds anything for you just look at him please don't be angry don't leave him for dead.

You stop in front of the dock at the sea shivering, or with fear, with anger, or with cold, and just take Eclipse in your little hands, running your thumb over his almost human face and give a little kiss up there and only, gently, put it in the sea.

That was the last time you saw your friend after a long time, of course also along with that, your family hadn't been back in that house for a long time, but after so many years you come back there.

The old house facing the sea, the fresh smell of salt, and the slightly cold wind coming from the ocean, you hold your hat so it doesn't go floating around,and start taking some of your bags inside the house, it takes longer than you wanted. After a few minutes, you are all inside the house, lying on the floor breathing heavily, looking up at the ceiling staring back at you, it was such a peaceful place and it gave you such a good feeling, and there were also the old memories of your first friend, eclipse, still on your mind.

You get up cleaning that dress you were wearing and walk to the back door opening and see that dock where you used to be Freedom from your friend. The memories of that day were now slowly returning to you, walking around, remembering what you had done to save it.

It was early in the morning, and you were leaving the house to play in the sand, do kid stuff, holes in the sand, kick the sea with the little feet you had and also watch some of the fish approach you and then swim away scared. But there was a place there where only you knew, slowly you walked away where your parents were, the sound of the sand being kneaded under your feet was comforting, until after passing a rock a little big you see it.

It looked like it was just a baby frog, it was so small that it was lying down and totally defeated in the middle of a puddle of salt water, but there was something different about that baby, it was maybe the perfectly smooth face with a few tips of fins like little sunbeams around the head of that thing, you approach slowly and see that he just moves a little and looks in your direction, which lets you see his deep purple eyes, and you can tell he was defeated and thinking that you would kill him to eat his little body.

That hurt you, the marine life was something special to you and he didn't deserve to die there. You run back to where your parents were, grab a plastic bucket, quickly fill it with seawater and go back to where that tadpole, or whatever. It seemed to be one, it was, and slowly you picked it up with your small hands throwing it into the bucket.

For a while, that little fish just lays at the bottom of the bucket and you were already, thinking you were too late and he hadn't survived until, out of nowhere, he starts moving a little bit, doing little flips and wagging his big tail that he has looking at you with great adoration, now that you see him better he had something on his torso, they were little arms that didn't even have hands, that was so cute for you, and slowly you put a finger in the water and he automatically "hugs" your finger as best he can, well that already sealed everything, you would take him home and take care of that strange fish.

After that good memory comes back, you finally sit at the end of the dock, looking out to the ocean where you let him be free, do you still wonder if he's okay, or if he survived? I mean he lived with you for so long, maybe he was already dead and now that you're back you'll never see him again and that little hope was fading and you:

"rrr?"-That strange sound scares you and you open your eyes and see a small fin not small but the tip of a fin and some purple eyes staring at you curious as always, you couldn't believe it, it was right there...waiting for you to move or anything?

Your eyes unconsciously fill with tears as you reach out your hand touching the tip of one of the fins on his head, you try to say something but only a painful sigh comes out along with a small laugh, slowly you put both your hands in the water wanting to hold his face of your old friend in your hands. After a few minutes of him just staring at you, as if something was on his mind, disappears and comes back to his head , you see small waves forming at the edge of the sea where his tail was, you hadn't noticed but he was that big?

Where his tail was supposed to be was about 20 feet away, and before you could even say anything, or think, eclipse launched itself towards the docks, almost crumpling you in the process.

"WHOA WHOAH HI BIG GUY HI..yeah i missed you too but you are kinda off crushing me"-a sound like, a small shark was heard coming from him, it was as if eclipse didn't care what you were talking about, he crawls back into the water, and stretches out one hand taking your small body and just looking at you with those deep purple eyes, he had what looked like a smile, you could see all his fine teeth, eclipse was so happy, you were back there in that house, and there was so much he wanted to introduce you to and…

The first ones he should introduce to you would be his brothers or the two others of the same species he would have found he sits you on the docks and with one hand he motions for you to wait there and he dives to the bottom of the ocean.

You were totally confused about what he wanted to show you, and how could he know how to tell you to wait a while? You just decide to stay there for an hour or so, and when you think about leaving he comes back with two other minis like him? Wait they were different from him, one was yellow like the sun and glowed slightly, he had the same fins as eclipse on his head and at the tip of those fins there were little spikes maybe he was poisonous? His eyes were yellow, and he was as small as Eclipse was when he lived with you, he seemed to be the more curious of the two he was showing you.

He slowly approaches the dock, and slowly takes one of his hands out of the water and touches your leg, his cold claw makes you shiver, but soon after you laugh and hold his hand gently, even though he is so smaller than eclipse his hands engulf yours but he seems to be taking such care of you:

"Well hello to you too, I think I can call you sun right? You are as handsome as your brother" slowly so as not to touch the thorns on his fin, you pass your hand on top of his head, and automatically the sun makes the same sound as eclipse, like a purr. you give a little laugh and finally look to his side and see the second one who was now with only white eyes staring at you, he had one of the lights like an angler fish and he seemed to be much more suspicious than Sun, he was staring at you as if you were going to attack sun and eclipse, you give a small smile trying to be friendly and with he puts his head out of the water and hiss at you, and with that he eclipses gently, or what seems to be gentle, flicks the other on the head, and he now seemed to be quite grumpy looking.to the other side, you have another laugh:

"Well since the other one I named Sun you'll be the moon I'm happy for you Eclipse seriously...but I have to go"—You get up getting ready to leave when a sound like a loud cry is heard, you automatically turn around and see that eclipse and sun are making these sounds, you cover your ears and go shh to both of them:

"Hey i am not gonna be out forever, tomorrow i will be back and we can play all day..and maybe a bit of the night ok? I need to take am shower and eat..see you tomorrow"

It was so nice to know that your old friend was back, and that you were now more protected than ever in the ocean.
