My impression from this episode is Kabru is the type of person you encounter who grew up with a severe anxiety disorder that causes them to question everything you do and await the moment you slip and reveal your secret "true colours", and have the audacity to accuse you of lying when you tell them you're being nice to them just cause and none of your actions have a secret meaning to them.

Mini Silverborn Countdown
If you’ve been around for a few years, you’ve seen me vaguely mention a “Silverborn Countdown Challenge” several times. It’s been delayed and changed as many times as the book itself, lol.
If anyone wants sort of a low-stakes, very chill and spaced out version of this ye olde never tackled challenge to complete in the next year before Silverborn, I propose what I’m doing:
Every 3 months leading up to the initial release, I am creating one thing based on each of the books.

I wish I could take my time with it though#the error reporting is. well it's easy to generate (it's actually running now) and it's tedious but uncomplicated to send out#but then I'm going to spend the rest of the day getting passive-aggressive responses from everybody#in a just world my coworkers would respond to careful itemized lists of all their fuckups with 'thank you Alexis you're so helpful#we really appreciate you flagging our mistakes two weeks before the system final-saves them forever into stone. have a cookie!'#but alas#if I'd been any less stressed and frantic when I first established the error reporting I'd have set up a separate address to send them from#write up some template emails and let the reporting all come out of the mythical 'automatic system thing'#--every 'automatic system thing' in our college is me or IT on my behalf. even the people who hired me for this don't seem to realize#if only I'd known from the beginning that nobody would ever connect me and my systems! I'd be exploiting the shit out of it--#the unique counts is going to be a headache. no idea how I'm going to structure the coding for it. might be fun to invent? we'll see#the Massive Dick Move email response also will be an invention. fuuuuuck ive dug myself such a massive hole and there's no climbing out now
#he speaks#love lying to my parents about how my uni career is going#cause i know they would cut me off from EVERYTHING i care about if they find out im failing anything#so just softening the blow by being like hey im barely passing#(which was still a DIFFICULT convo)#and saying oh im struggling heaps keeping up with readings and assignment deadlines so im just doing the bare minimum cause im exhausted#cause adhd#and them wanting to be super helpful and being like oh give me a list of your assignments and their due dates and your readings#and ill read the stuff and look at your assignments#cause you said you were doing summer semester to catch up on your classes from the trip#but in reality youre not you just said that so your parents would let you go#but now youre gonna have to do assignments over the summer break (aka for the next 4 weeks) and then be stressed about getting set up#and now youre so far in that you have an elaborate plan that you've “talked to the academic advisors” about your struggles and your adhd do#and both said you should go part time#so that it looks like youre graduating “on time”#but in reality youre just catching up on the courses you failed#and still struggling and hating full time#i stg if there were ANY other way to get the qualifications i need for this job#i would have left uni after first semester#i actually fuckin hate it#sorry for the rant lmao#kinda a vent post

tbh still not over the fact that this person who i spoke to abt a room yesterday straight up said that the landlord doesn’t allow friends or partners over, & so they don’t ever have people over and they “prefer it that way.” like it’s not my business but that’s so genuinely sad & pathetic to live a “life” where you are okay with someone else—who you pay thousands of dollars to—dictating the prohibition of the people u love most coming to your home that u, again, pay a lot of money to live in, & convincing yourself that that’s totally okay and a fine way to “live” lmaoooo

#am having a category 7 autism moment over pipe organs#i do not remember the last time i opened up the wikipedia page for something to read recreationally#i initially sought out the list of the biggest ones (because large)and had to step down to the main page first because theres all this ling#and i wanna know what everything does#the music itself has to be a pretty specific vibe for me to like it bc if theyre not played a certain way it gets really cacophonous for me#but the instruments themselves are fucking monsters and playing them seems less like performing on a instrument#and more like harmonizing with a great beast#you start it with a key??#it takes all of your limbs and the thing is constantly breathing#the sound will continue for as long as you hold the note it will not dissipate???#you can record things and play them back it will even remember stop settings it has memory??#stops control how the pipes sound if youve ever heard of pulling out all the stops this is that#theyre like orchestras able to be played by a single person some of them even have voice sounds#the people who play these things are also their own type of beast#pipe organists are wild because god there's just so much#it scratches my loner badass complex so acutely#a lonely person shouldering an entire symphony contrasting against scores of people playing a single piece together as one#you could write an anime about this#did everyone else just already understand about these things or#blake.txt#good tags

L0ok I get the whole "sharing the clothes because they literally split into two" thing and I get that Ncuti Gatwa is very fit and handsome and is probably the only Doctor actor who would ever be willing to spend every single scene in his first episode in his underwear, but it just felt disrespectful.

why have i suddenly been gripped with the desire to get back into fishkeeping
#Seven.txt#fish stuff#fishkeeping#fish keeping#fishblr#i’m not complaining cause i’ve lowkey missed feeling so passionate about the hobby but. my brain couldn’t have picked a less convenient tim#me: trying to spend less money and manage my time better#my brain: hey hey hey you know what you should do? you should get back into a really expensive and time-consuming hobby!!! it’ll be fun!!!#and i mean. it’s not like i truly ever got out of it i just sort of dialed back the number of tanks and fish i have over the past few years#so i’ve currently got a bunch of empty tanks and equipment sitting around collecting dust#i do still have three fish that i thought would be my last for a While. i’ve had them for a number of years and they’re all old by now#so i’m just trying to help them live the rest of their days as comfortably as they can#well. Paprika and Thing One are near their end but in spite of the Mystery Growth on Thing Two’s head that little guy is still doing fine#so he could still be here for awhile. who knows. but anyways#fishkeeping was one of my first really intense and long lasting special interests/hyperfixations so it’s such a strange feeling#to have it come back so strongly and for no obvious reason. but. that’s the nature of fixations i suppose!#insert Drake and Josh ‘I do not control the hyperfixation’ meme here#anyways. the project to finally set up the 75gal that’s been sitting empty for years is finally underway!!! so that’s exciting!#now i’ve got to make a list of things i need and find somewhere to set up a quarantine tank. hrmmm#and also cry over the fact that the filter i need is 200 dollars ahahahaaaaa why did my brain have to latch onto this hobby oh my god#oh man. i’ve gotta order the snails and activated media before the weather gets any warmer or they’ll cook in the bag on the way here ugh#This Post Brought To You By- me sitting here refreshing my email every 10 mins. waiting for Cynthia to let me know if she still has#these two adorable Sakura Ranchus avaliable to purchase. i mean. they were listed in Sep. 2021 so i will be Shocked if she still has them#but maybe the universe will smile upon me and i'll get lucky!

not a Hel video sending me into a crisis about my own perceptions about who I am working with....
I literally just opened this video bc I found a norse witch whos like. avidly not a nazi and thats always nice yanno. and then there was a Hel video and im like eyyyy fellow death goddess follower! love to see it. but the upg section. hit.
