So, I just beat Cassandra's route and... Oh my god!! The art of her in the pig blood ending... I thought her drenched in blood was going to be as creepy as it got, but how she looked when she found you hiding in her room? I am. Absolutely astonished. I played this at like 3 AM in the dark in bed and ACTUALLY felt my heart begin to race in fear. It was such a contrast to how she usually looks. Was creating such a look easy, or did you have to fuck with it for a while to get it just right?

the expression she makes when she kills you herself is my favorite! that was the expression that came to me the easiest. the one that i actually struggled with was her spooky juliet sprite 😭 i couldnt figure out what i wanted it to look like so i just threw stuff at the wall until it stuck.

her cult sprite was an expression i already vividly envisioned in my head, so it was just a matter of painting it! i'm glad people found it as spooky as i hoped they would!

ralbert, redfinch, or spralbert??????

oh my god ok this is a struggle (thank you for the ask though) - i'm also going to assume you're talking about livesies here because if not it's sprace for me in 1992sies personally

but for me...Ralbert because in the musical it makes the most sense. Race and Albert are seen together quite a lot and are obviously close friends, Race lets Al take his cigar and well he is annoyed (hey! that's my cigar) he doesn't get angry at him (like when he does when Buttons insinuates that "He traded her for a box of cigars" about his mother). they interact more in King of New York and are usually next to each other. also i enjoy Ralbert a lot because they're 2 of my favorite characters!!

on Redfinch, I don't think of them (Finch and Al) as particularly close and Finch is not as much of a character as Albert and Race are, but maybe that was just me not noticing him as much. though I like the idea of Albert liking Race and him not liking him back and ending up with Finch, mainly because of @crystallizedtwilight's art. (go check them out, their art is so good!!!)

Spralbert (just checking this is Spot, Race and Albert) doesn't make the most sense to me, just because Spot doesn't really interact with either of them at all, just in the same way livesies Sprace makes no sense because Race and Spot don't even talk.

hope this was a good answer (i could talk for hours) but Ralbert is definitely my favorite and I just wrote a Ralbert fic on ao3 so go read it if you haven't - it's called "Just Admit You're Wrong" and my acc is pinetree603 (i'm working on a javid prompt fill right now)

This is a very nice ask but unfortunately my brain struggles to handle more than one fandom at a time, and I am pretty heavily fixated on the finches

my previous hyperfixation was skyrim! although I think the only proof of that you'll find is like one j'zargo drawing way back on this account. I was kinda too busy playing the game to make much art for it. Still love my darling wizard catboy though

I also really love a song of ice and fire! I haven't been hyperfixated on it since middle school but it remains very special to me. The worldbuilding and lore and multiple perspectives influenced a lot of what I like in stories

Patrick “Finch” Cortez is wasian, half Filipino half white. Personally? I want it to be a Germanic country.

Finch’s mama is Filipino so everyone thank Ms. Cortez right now I’m so for real.

She spoke to him in Tagalog sometimes and did cook some Filipino dishes but he can’t remember it all in detail. He misses it, he just doesn’t know where to get it.

Finch can’t speak Tagalog. He’s too embarrassed to learn and he’s kind of got some kind of internal racism going on which sucks because Filipinos 🔛🔝!!!

Compared to Romeo and Smalls, I think he’s actively hiding the fact he’s Filipino. He really doesn’t have because I don’t believe newsies ask about it often but Finch avoids the topic altogether.

His slingshot reminds me of the Filipino homemade shakers made out of a stick and bottle caps.

I feel like when he joined the newsies he abandoned that part of himself until Romeo showed interest in his own Filipino culture and Smalls was there to teach both of them.

Romeo is 100% Filipino. Mom and Pops are Pinoy as hell and so is he.

He’s sort of like Finch and he doesn’t know much about his culture since he lived with the Manhattanites almost his entire life.

He’s not fluent in Tagalog but is trying his best once he starts learning.

Romeo is overall an excited little bug and likes his culture because to him it just gives him another connection, another reason to feel like he belongs somewhere after being in limbo for so long.

He loses it when he finds out about the food. To me? Romeo is an entire hungry little munchkin and he absolutely loses it when he finds out what lechon is.

I feel like he’d be really good at Tinikling and really enjoy it.

When Smalls offers to teach him about his culture, Romeo is so friendly with Smalls, he’s so excited and happy to learn and make a new friend through that.

Smalls is also 100% Filipino, but only lived with his dad, older brother, and little brother before his dad kicked him out.

He’s fluent in Tagalog and is an active participant with being able to cook Filipino dishes as well as having a baro’t saya in his past (He’s aiming to get himself a barong one day.)

After he was kicked out and went to Manhattan for refuge in the midst of becoming the new leader of the Bronx newsies, being able to find Romeo and Finch was a massive comfort to him.

Smalls in my head is ftm (Sorry girlsies! I just y’know with Julian DeGuzman.) and because I struggle with this, Smalls struggles to changing his pronouns when referring to himself in Tagalog. He’s so used to being referred to and having to refer to himself as she/her it’s hard. (I specifically struggle with this when speaking French)

Things I'm super proud of myself for from over the last few days;

Eating breakfast - I often don't eat breakfast and I just have a cup of coffee and a cigarette 😅

Drinking more water - god this is so important for me i totally suck at drinking enough water.

Taking a shower - this may seem like a really lame one but I really struggle with getting in the shower sometimes and doing self care. The last few days I've managed to get in the shower, wash my hair, face, body and brush my teeth. Put on some lovely smelling body lotion and really taking the time to do self care. Doing my skin care and making sure Im moisturised and clean.

Getting back into my poetry and art- this is a major one for me. Poetry and art was my life and IS my life. I've neglected my passion for it for a few years and this coming year I'm determined to get back into poetry and art. Years ago I studied at art University fine art photography and I never finished my degree due to the current circumstances at that time in my life.

Downloaded a self care app - this has really really helped me especially with my ND brain. The app finch is so cute. You have a self care pet and it allows you to set daily goals and you earn points and look after your pet. Really has helped me!!

Deleted most social media apps- honestly tiktok and Instagram and Facebook was too overwhelming for me. Also not to mention quite toxic. Really upset my emotional wellbeing. Glad I deleted it.

Managed to tidy my space - because of my adhd I get so overwhelmed with a messy space but getting the motivation to do it is also overwhelming. So I set 10 minute timers to do little by little at a time. Which helped and made me feel relaxed and calm.

I know it may look insignificant to others but to me its really been a big step. 🥰
