Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech to Dades valley through High Atlas Mountain
Welcome to Morocco, Marrakech! Join us on a 3-day tour to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga and the historic city of Fes. We'll begin our journey by traversing the High Atlas Mountains, taking in the vibrant landscapes, and making a quick stop to savor a cup of tea while admiring the spectacular views. As we travel, you'll have the opportunity to discover various Berber villages and farms. Next, we'll visit Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This traditional pre-Saharan habitat is made up of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, and you'll have free time to explore the area and take beautiful photos. Lunch will be provided. Afterwards, we'll make our way to Ouarzazate, known as the "gateway to the desert", where the climate becomes increasingly Saharan. Take a tour of the popular Atlas Film Studio, where many famous movies have been filmed. As we continue on to the Dades Valley, we'll pass through the picturesque Roses Valley. Once we arrive, you'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 2: Todra Gorges and experience the camel trekking in Erg Chebbi Dunes
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a journey to the Todra Gorges, a breathtaking 300-meter-tall golden mountain. Once you arrive, take a stroll and watch climbers conquer the towering cliffs. In the afternoon, your driver will continue on to Tinjdad, Erfoud, and Rissani. As the day comes to a close, you'll arrive at the Merzouga Desert where you'll switch from your 4x4 to a private camel for a thrilling ride. Join an exclusive excursion through the desert with an experienced camel guide who will share tips and insights. Take in the stunning sand dunes and a breathtaking sunset. After the ride, head back to the camp where dinner will be served. Enjoy traditional Saharan music and spend the night in a tent under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga to the imperial city of Fes
Wake up early to catch the sunrise and explore more of the Sahara desert. Return to your hotel on camelback for lunch and a quick shower before departing for Fez. Travel through Rissani, Er-foud, and Errachidia, making a stop at the authentic Oasis of "Ouelad Chaker". Enjoy lunch in Midelt. As the tour continues, visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you will have the chance to see Berber apes. Then, drive to Ifrane, known as the "Small Switzerland of Morocco," and take a quick tour of the city. Your 3-day itinerary Marrakech to Fes desert tour will end in Fes.
