You know, I really want to love her design. I really do. She’s my wife so I feel obligated to love her.

But I’m drawing a pinup of her and it’s just…. I can’t stand something about her face and her hair 😭 I don’t hate short hair on women, I think it works on certain characters. But Amelia personally isn’t one of those characters for me. Like yes, I think she’s cute and enjoy art of her with short hair. But every single time when I go to draw her, I just can’t stand it.

And don’t even get me started on how it doesn’t feel like “America”. I know they’re not meant to look EXACTLY the same, but we’re missing some key features here! It feels a bit jarring to go from such the iconic design that is Alfred, to generic white anime girl with short blonde hair. I feel like even if they just added the glasses and cowlick to her base design it would do so much better.

I mean seriously, Canada keeps the glasses but America doesn’t?? Come on now.
