It was the first time you'd completeed an opening show as a paid 'sideshow freak', and coincidentally, it was the first time you'd felt such a high of serotonin.

With the chairs and benches cleared off to the side, the main tent was filled with your friends, your family. You'd been oddly double-jointed for most of your life, and until you met Elsa, you'd never considered it to be a gift. Elsa's Cabinet of Curiosities gained a cortonist with sparkling eyes and red lips, and the crowds (mostly men) flocked to see you fold yourself in half.

Anyway, the first show had gone swimmingly. Nearly everyone had come to congratulate you. Even Pepper had come over and clung your cotton skirt, nuzzling it into it. Although she couldn't speak like the rest of them, she understood things very well. You bent down, and cupped her face, giving her a slow, appreciative blink before she toddled off.

There was one person who hadn't talked to you yet.

Jimmy Darling, who had been the nicest to you out of all of them in those first days of rehearsal, swayed his hips back and forth, as he made his rounds. You bit your lip, feeling your cheeks flood with adoration. He was so cute, and so friendly. While everyone else danced and mingled arond the table, you were still shy and had found a comfy place leaning against one of the support posts. So far, you'd spent the evening nursing a single drink; something that Desiree had made you.

"Hey sweetheart.... what's wrong? You dunno' how to groove?" His warm voice startled you from behind. "C'moooon.... dance with me."

He was a little drunk, you could smell the booze on his breath. "No, no... I couldn't, Jimmy. I don't want to..."

"What, look like a freak?" C'mon. Gimme your hand, baby."
