Just a heads up, but none of the links on your pinned work for me on the mobile app. I click them and just end up on your blog homepage. It might be the same issue Anon was experiencing.
I’ve gotten someone saying this once before (months ago) and i Don’t Understand where the issue is because they all work perfectly for me. I think I remember the other person who told me that got them to work again another time so I really don’t know whats up with it other than general tumblr jank. or maybe its somehow phone dependent since some of the page themes use javascript? but they always work on desktop at least

THE GARDEN: ALL-IN-ONE THEME PACK
[ live preview ✴ $13 on payhip ] Happy Early Valentine's! I created this theme for personal use, originally, and after some consideration (and motivation from one of my closest friends, Aurelia, dearest) I decided to transform it into a roleplay theme pack. I wanted to switch things up, however, and that's how I came up with the idea of adding built-in side pages to this theme pack instead of separate pages.
I love seeing how you guys make my themes your own, and I'm always taking notes of what I can change and improve based on your feedback. I couldn't help but notice the majority of RPGs that use my codes choose to create their own navigations, and similar pages, in the main theme—perhaps because it's easier to customize. So I decided to oblige by making built-in pages. All you have to do is copy, paste, add your own information, et voila! You're ready to go! Everything inside the pack is very straightforward—another goal for this year, cut my rambling in half—but if you have any questions my DMs are open.

I'm not quite done with this, but it'll be nice for later.
Is it okay if I take inspiration from your art and concepts?
I've been in a situation in recent years where another artist has taken far, far too much. You've probably seen me talk about it. It's a subject I'm pretty burnt out on.
I recently saw another artist's take on this and it seemed sensible to me. I'm just going to quote theirs. I have tried to find my own words, but right now I find myself more comfortable using someone else's.
"Well, if you’re having to ask me for permission, either your design is too similar or you’re being overly nervous about a normal artistic process. You’re absolutely free to use my work as a source of inspiration but I’d strongly encourage you to think about the details from my design you like most, and remix them with other concepts into your own unique take."
Taking inspiration is something everyone does, but please don't become a shadow I get bi-weekly alerts about. Ideally your pool of inspiration will be many artists and concepts re-imagined into something unique to you- and that you're being honest with yourself about the result.
Your art is being copied! / Will you tell me who the copy cat is?
I know your intentions are in the right place, and I appreciate that, but I get a lot of messages about this and am tired. I'm sure if my art ends up somewhere it shouldn't be or there's a significant event, the community will get it to me through people I know, but let me rest.
I'm just sayin' get a second or third opinion before coming to my inbox.

Sorry about that. I tend not to stress about messages because it can be a drain. You're more likely to get a response if you let me know from the get go what you want, but nothing is guaranteed. Sometimes I didn't see it, sometimes I got busy or forgot, sometimes I plan to do it later, sometimes I just opted out. It's not personal.
Are you okay with fanart? What about OC interactions? Can I post it?
Sure, just don't profit off of it and please credit me. If you want to draw my OCs interacting with yours that's also fine- though I prefer situations where their actions make sense. Alf wouldn't make your character cry for fun, for example. He's grumpy but not cruel. Posting it is fine.
Where do you Rp? Are you looking for more partners?
Discord mostly. Roleplay consumes a lot of time so these days I mostly only play with my buddy Thema. I probably wouldn't have time to play, but I like to hang around people that do and I don't mind being asked. Just please don't be sad if I never get around to responding! I'm most compatible with people who are comfortable with radio silence.
Can I use your characters in roleplay/as roleplay refs?
Considering I actively roleplay my OCs and there's a potential for confusion, I'd rather you didn't. Though I think there's a difference between linking to my art and saying 'this is my character', and linking to it to say 'this has the mood I'm going for, but here's what's different about my character--'. The latter is fine.
Can I make Fan OCs for your setting?
Thinking about this makes me tired. Maybe I'll get to a point where I'm more comfortable later, but for now I'd rather you didn't make something directly from my worlds. But lets be real, you don't need my permission to draw cat monsters and I take a huge amount of inspiration from ancient history. Many of my concepts are inspired by things that you can read about and be inspired too.
If you see something and are curious if there's a historical source, just ask. Hopefully I'll remember.
Can I repost your work?
I don't mind as long as I'm credited. Most of my art has a signature on it already. If it doesn't, please add a link or my name so people can find me. I'm less okay with my work being used as a pageviews grab on a site where I have an active social media presence, but it's probably not worth my time to care.
Do I have permission to draw NSFW art of your characters?
No, for a plethora of reasons, some easy to explain and some not, but I probably can't stop you. Just don't profit off of it or show it to me.
Do you have a website for your OCs?
I have RP pages for them scattered all over the place and many of them are outdated, but as I type this I recently put some up on Toyhouse.

Hope it's okay to ask here, I love your blog and how you give clear, concise answers to questions without assuming bad faith so hopefully it's ok to throw my own "warning tag" question in here, TIA for the answer!
So, childhood friends-to-lovers is like one of my favourite romance tropes to write in fanfic. I've done a LOT of ships with that, but I've never actually written anything more uh...spicy, shall we say. Until after the ship were both adults. I was raised Extremely Fundie and wasn't very sex positive for a LONG time as a result but now that I'm older & out of that environment I've grown a lot.
So because of religious upbringing I just avoided writing smut before both characters were 18 "to be safe". In a recent new fandom I'm in I have a character who I feel like very much WOULD have explored her sexuality before she turned 18. The partner in this context is her childhood friend so they grew up together and are probably at most like 3 years apart, if that. So my question is, would I tag that as Underage because, even tho they're close together in age (ie. both "minors" in that sense) they ARE Underage or is the Underage tag on AO3 solely for Adult/Minor ships? (not judging writers of Adult/Minor pairings either, I'll add. It's just not my scene and I don't want to give people the wrong impression in the tags, either way around, whenever I inevitably write & post their First Time fic, yk?)

Ah. You're still thinking about that tag in a more cultural sense, but that's not what it's for. If you dig through the FAQs and such, the explanation is in there somewhere, but to summarize, it refers to:
On page depictions of sexual activity including at least one character under 18.
(So if they just kiss or you just say she had sex but you don't show intercourse, oral, etc. on the actual page, it doesn't count.)
AO3's underage tag is actually to protect users who live in jurisdictions where <18 sexytimes are banned from art or banned unless there's ~artistic merit~ or whatever. Around the time AO3 was starting up was when Australia was having a big upheaval over such things, so it was on people's minds in the Anglosphere.
Whether the sex is problematique or age gap or whatever doesn't matter. The actual age of consent or laws around sex in the real world location these characters are in, if any, does not matter. Your 17-year-old UK characters fucking still need the warning or CNTW even though that's laughable in context. 18 tends to be the age most used in international law for... like... porn star ages and such, so 18 is what AO3 went with. Never mind that it's not necessarily the age of majority or that age of consent laws can depend on partner age, etc. etc.
Unlike noncon/graphic violence/character death, this warning isn't there primarily because readers find the topic squicky.
It's a legal ass-covering thing.

The submission period is over for the Clue Crew Zine Done Cheap, which means that it's time for NEXT STEPS: layout, proofreading, printing, and mailing.
And in order to be able to mail them, I need mailing addresses!
To get a physical copy mailed to you (for free!), fill out this form. The form will stay open through Sunday April 14th, and zines will be mailed out at the end of April.
To get a digital copy emailed to you, fill out this form. The zines will also be available for direct download, but sometimes it's more fun to get something sent to you. It's like a special present that arrives in your inbox.
If you want to read more about this project, you can go to my initial post here, but the gist is that this is a fun, low-key and low-cost zine for the Nancy Drew games. Contributions were open to anyone, and I'm printing them out at home and mailing them to anyone who wants them.

Yes, 100%. If mailing costs exceed the stamps I already have, then I might make a post asking people to chip in if they can, but that will be fully optional.
I'm a little uncomfortable giving my address to a tumblr stranger.
Totally understandable! That's why the mailing address form doesn't ask for your username, and providing an email address is not required. The goal is to be unable to link your name and address to who you are online.
If you're still not sure about providing your address, you can always get a digital copy and then print it out for yourself!
How long is the zine? What's in it?
The layout is in progress, but it's going to be about 20 half-size pages, with contributions from: @abyssgazesalsointoyou, @ethelthebossiny, @gaypapercuts, @heytherenancydrew, @joons, @just-a-madrigal, and myself, plus layout and cover by @naancydrew
In terms of content, there's a little bit of everything! Recipes, meta analysis, podfic, embroidery art, a quiz, fanfic, and a puzzle. Everything is delightful and I'm so so so excited.

same anon who asked about fandom crossover problem: thanks for your answer. but i've followed your instruction, put two fandom tag ids with OR in Search Within Results and noticed unrelated fandom works are still there. then tried to use character tag as page and apply two fandom ids with OR into swr and results are still same. what am I missing? oh yeah, I'm finally run into "414 Request-URI Too Large" error. that's 150 tags, i think. honestly, it would be easier if those two fandom media tags are put under "[fandom name] all media types" or one parent tag or somwthing like that. just exclude one media tag to avoid spoilers.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, anon. I guess I didn't understand fully what you were trying to accomplish. You can try again (next time the inbox is open) just telling me what you do and don't want and I can see what sort of filters I can figure out that'll get you there.

Hello everyone! Welcome to Noahvember, a week in November created to celebrate everyone's favorite Total Drama character – Noah! Read below for further information about the event. We're glad to have you here! (Please note that things like dates, prompts, and other questions will be added once the interest check is finished)
What is Noahvember?
Noahvember is a week in November where we celebrate Noah from Total Drama! A prompt list will be created in which artists and writers can draw inspiration from to create their own Noah-centric works. The works are meant to focus on Noah, but ship-related content is more than welcome!
What kind of works will be allowed?
Artwork, writing, and similar content is accepted! Works must place the focus on Noah, but ship-related works are more than welcome. For this event, we ask that you please refrain from creating NSFW works.
How should I tag my work?
Please use the tags #noahvember and #noahvember2023. This allows us to easily access all works made for this event! Feel free to branch out to post on other platforms. A collection on Archive of Our Own will be created if you wish to submit your work to that as well.
Friendly reminder that all works will try to be reblogged on this page, but please do not feel bad if we miss you! (I say we as if there isn't one mod working to the best of her ability!)
How do we post fics to mark them as part of the event?
If you're using AO3, you can simply add Noahvember or Noahvember 2023 under your tags! We will be making a collection if you wish to add it there as well. A separate post detailing how to do that can be created if you would like! Essentially, when you're uploading your fic, all you'll have to do is search for the Noahvember collection in the box and add it from there.
Can I submit a work to more than one event? For example, can this work also count for another event week?
Absolutely! I don't see why not! As long as the prompts align in both weeks, you are more than welcome to tag your work for Noahvember. Please make sure the mods running the other event are okay with this as well. However, we do ask that you don't submit any premade/old works to the collection. We'd like to see something new!
Will you take late submissions?
Of course! The content doesn't have to be created right at the event week. However, we will only be reblogging Noahvember works at that time. But you're more than welcome to create content whenever the inspiration strikes!
Will this be a yearly thing?
Who knows! If this goes well this year, we would totally be up to running it again next year. If not, we'd like to see similar fandom events created.

A GUIDE TO THE PLAYGROUND WARRIOR CATS RP THAT IS CJRP
hello! if you’re here, that means you’re confused about cjrp (let’s be real who wouldn’t be), and i’m here to help you!
this will NOT be a guide to the lore, just an explanation on what cjrp is and a little timeline. if i were to make a lore guide, i’d have to constantly update it and keep up with every single anons lore, which is… more than a difficult task. sorry- maybe you can ask the blog owners to make a lore post for their anons?
THE ORIGINS
cjrp stared with @/plussheep (aka ruler, owner of @/thrulerofeverything) @/gaignunkukai (aka feenie, owner of @/nothings-wholey) @/demo-3 (aka simon, owner of @/egoistic-queer) and yours truly (aka bendy/apollo, former owner of @/not-the-organ)! it began mostly with small lore chunks that were similar to an arg- lots of ciphers, hints and clues. eventually, though, something happened that completely changed the course of cjrp.
THE ANON WAR
taking place on soul’s blog, the anon war was… well, a war where all the anons with signoffs came to fight. allies were made, enemies were made, but above all… blogs were made. anons began creating blogs as to fight in the war easier and not clog up soul’s inbox. however, this very, very quickly escalated. if you want to see the anon war, it’s on @/egoistic-queer’s blog under #anon war
THE ANON BLOGS
there are so… SO MANY anon blogs. i’m dreading to compile a list of them later on in a reblog of this post (/hj, im also pretty excited to see how many there are). the anons are ocs created by “narrators”, which are the people describing the actions of a blog. for example:
some anons tend to get creative with this, such as @/fluffy-creechur! a few characters, such as the cjrpcraft characters don’t have narrators at all.

can i make an anon blog?
of course! anyone is free to make a blog and join cjrp (however i warn you, the nameless anons do tend to bite ;))
are there any requirements to join cjrp? rules i should be careful not to break?
not really! i think as long as you’re not promoting any controversial topics or making anyone uncomfortable, you’re free to join in!
is shipping okay?
absolutely! if you’re going to ship your anon with someone else’s, you should ask first, but there’s tons of established relationships! yellow and des, copycat and agod, the list goes on!
how am i ever supposed to remember all this lore?! there’s so much going on!! SOMEONE DIED YESTERDAY?! HUH?!
here’s the thing!! you’re not! so much happens every single day in cjrp that it’s impossible to keep track! so stop worrying about keeping up to date with every single blog- that’s not to mean ignore what’s happening if you see it (we all love attention here after all), but there’s no pressure to know everything :)
do i really need to follow every single one of these blogs?
you don’t need to, but it’d make a lot of us happy :) if you see a blog that hasn’t been updated in a while, i’d say more than two weeks, i think it’s safe to not follow if you don’t want to crowd your following page
am i allowed to use sensitive topics in my blog?
most of that stuff is okay! just remember that a very large amount of cjrpers are minors, so you’ll probably get a less than great reaction if you try to post nsfw. gore is usually okay, though! just make sure you tag anything potentially triggering :)
what’s a [insert word that cjrpers use a lot]
narrator: person who describes the environment the anon is in, sometimes a character as well. generally used with anons who break the fourth wall
named anon (referred to mostly as just anons): an anon/character with a blog
nameless: an actual anon, someone who sends an ask to a blog anonymously
anon village/headspace: the place in which the anons reside within whole’s psyche
titan blood: originating from the owl house, titan blood transforms anyone who drinks it into a half-titan. this usually results in creature-like appendages such as wings (birdlike or otherwise), tails, antlers, etc.

How do I start a story? I find that the first page is always the hardest to write, because I just don’t know how to introduce whatever it is I’m thinking. Or what I should be introducing in the first place.
Not Sure How to Start a Story
Starting a story happens in one of three ways:
Wing it, wring it, or a little of both.
Winging It (AKA "Pantsing") - Winging or "pantsing" a story means that you sit down and start writing with only what's in your head. For some that can mean knowing everything that's going to happen from beginning to end, for others it can mean just having a vague idea or story goal. In either case, there are two non-negotiable requirements for successfully winging a story... at least a good one: 1) You need to be SUPER motivated by the idea. 2) You need to understand how stories work. The majority of writers aren't "pantsers" meaning that they can't sit down and successfully write a good story without some level of planning.
Wringing It (AKA "Planning") - Wringing (as in wringing out) or planning a story means that you start with an idea--either one that already popped into your head, or one that you searched out--and you spend a lot of time fleshing that idea out into a story. "Planning" a story means different things to different writers, but usually it requires a lot of brainstorming, planning the story's structure, world building, character design, research, and plotting out what needs to happen in the story. It can sometimes even mean spending time to learning about plot and story structure, as well as other storytelling mechanics. Planners sometimes need only beginning to end summary of their story, but many like to use scene lists, timelines, mood boards, scene cards, chapter summaries... really planning tool that works for them. Figuring out your story's events from beginning to end is called "plotting" or sometimes "outlining." Most newer writers do best as planners.
A Little of Both (AKA "Plantsing") - Most writers are "plantsers," especially once they've gotten the experience of completing a few stories. Plantsers may spend time brainstorming and fleshing things out, may even write out a summary or scene list, but since they fully understand how stories work, it's easier for them to write a story without having every detail planned out.
Why You're Struggling to Write the First Page
The reason you're struggling to write the first page is because you don't have what you need to wing it. You're not a "pantser," at least not yet. This is most likely due to not understanding how stories work, or it could be that you just aren't inspired enough by this idea for it to draw out naturally as you write. In either case, you need to take a step back and spend some time planning out this story.
