The love I have for Ayda Aguefort grows with every scene she’s in, honestly.
There’s something so incredibly refreshing to her blunt honesty. The way she points out the impracticality of those social norms too, because yeah, girl you’re so right on that. It’s stupid and unnecessary and exhausting.
But so often when a character in TV is written that way, they are written as emotionally stunted and cold and distant. The way our players on first meeting assumed her to not be emotional too - which only confused her and made her ask why they would assume such a thing.
Because she isn’t and I love her so, so, so much.
The way she latched onto Adaine and the offer of friendship!! Her pure joy upon meeting Boggy was honestly the best thing ever, I giggled out loud so hard! And the transitory properties of friendship in regards to Adaine being Fig’s best friend and now Ayda’s best friend and thus, Fig now also being Ayda’s best friend, which brought Ayda so much joy and made her so rich?
There is so much love and excitement and joy stored in Ayda Aguefort.

So I fell down a terrible rabbit hole of Dimension 20 while I was sick during February (the second time), and now I'm working my way through Fantasy High: Sophomore Year. Do I know anything about D&D? No. But I do like people telling stories and having fun. And I just have to say a few things:
Murph and Siobhan are my favorites forever, because I love people with Rules and Plans and who also have Chaotic Friends Who Fuck Things Up
Lou and Ally's utterly cursed dice rolls during the Row and Ruction fight had me losing my mind
The bit with Gorgug trying to use his crystal to Shazam the elven music in Fallinel, and then Murph quietly saying, "I think it's Sufjan Stevens," and Emily agreeing, "Yeah, it's definitely Michigan," was so specifically funny to me that I about choked on the pretzel I was eating.

Looking through the Dimension 20 wiki I've discovered that up until ACOC there was a pattern in marketing photos that were pretty much "Brennan + Drawings," and I believe that style was rightfully discarded. (Images included below poll)
