Headmaster Dippet greeted you immediately when you walked into the large oak doors of the magical school Hogwarts.

You nodded towards him; smiling. He started leading you towards Hogwarts Great Hall where all the students and staff were seated eating dinner. Your oldest brother Theseus was working for the Ministry of magic and your other older brother Newton was busy with all of his Fantastic Beast. So right as you graduated Hogwarts, you had many job options you could have picked. But what did you choose? Being a teacher.

You sent an owl to your old Headmaster telling him you were interested with a job and with your luck their was an opening for Care of Magical Creature positions. Well, here you are now walking into the Great Hall ready to start your new life.

You followed Dippet to the staff table where all the professor sat. Some nodded to you, or smiled; recognizing you from your school days. Dippit sat down on the Headmaster chair their was vacant seat next to him. You went to go sit down next to him.

Finally Dippet did his speech introducing you to all the students as their new teacher. you looked around the staff table, there was someone missing. Albus Dumbledore. You’re old Defense Against the Dark Arts, professor. He always interested you. When your brother Newt got suspended from Hogwarts, Dumbledore defended your brother in front of the Minister and the magical court. While you were in Hogwarts you two had a close relationship with him. You two would have tea together after class, you two would even go on walks together. You liked to say you were his favorite student, but now you weren’t student. You were an adult now. A proud 21 year old, an independent one no doubt;you were a Scamander for Merlin's sake.

In all the 7 years of Hogwarts you and Albus grew close. you ended up getting a crush, no more like falling love. Due to the large age gap between you two, and scared of rejection you were to scared to tell him. When you left Hogwarts you and Albus shared letters for a while, every once and a while but not as much as you would like too.

While you were daydreaming about your old teacher, you jumped at the voice who boomed your name.

“Really, never expected to see (Y/N) Scamander here, little sister to the war hero and to the beast freak who set all the creatures free in New York.” Your old charms professor (You were never fond of him) mentioned smugly to you. Before you could defend Newt a sudden voice interrupted you.

“When you mentioned in your letter, I was gonna see you more often I was not thinking of this.” A familiar voice said from behind you. A large grin broke out on your face when you realize who the voice belonged too. Albus Dumbledore. You quickly looked behind you and rushed to hug Albus. He returned your embrace and chuckled as you hugged him tighter.

You wished that dinner would last forever. You and Albus talked most of it, both of you forgetting to eat, so engrossed with your conversation. You’re talking ended up carrying you to your new Hogwarts dorm you were staying at while teaching. Albus walked you to your room and talked and laughed to each other. When you reached your room you went to say goodnight to Albus. When he suddenly spoke up.

“Look (Y/N), I don’t mean to be to soon or up front. Your an adult now, and im hoping you will understand. But I’ve always had this feeling when I’m around you and Hogsmeade is coming up, M..m..maybe you would to j..join me at H..h..hogs..s.” he tried to stutter out.

You grabbed his hand which made him look at you in the eyes. “I would love to go to Hogsmeade with you.” You finished smiling at him.

“Like a date?” He ask with a hopeful glee in his bright blue eyes.

‘yeah, like a date.” You agreed.

A large smile broke out on Albus’s face.

A few months later, Christmas Eve. Scamander parent’s home (THIRD PERSON POV)

Your brother Theseus, his fiance Leta Lestrange, your brother Newt, your mother and father sat together at your parents dinner table. They were all waiting on you to come for christmas dinner, they were also waiting for you to introduce you boyfriend to the family.

“Theseus, Newt any idea where your sister is?” Your mother asked worried about you.

“No idea, probably getting ready with her new boyfriend.” Theseus replied to your mother; smirking.

“Guys, I’m home!” Your voice ranged through the home as you entered the kitchen. Your family greeted and hugged you. Finally your father asked you the burning question your family had. “Where is the new mystery man?”

A large grin spread across your face as a figure came behind and put there arms around your waist, and pulled you into their chest. You giggled at Albus actions/

“Guys, this is my boyfriend Albus.” You said suddenly.

The room went silent. Your parents shared at you in shock, Leta just started at you. Theseus started to choke on his drink. “W..w..what!” He looked at you shocked.

“Professor Dumbledore, is your boyfriend?”Theseus asked shocked.

Not sensing your brothers negative view you giggle and nuzzled yourself into Albus’s chest as he lovingly kissed your cheek. “Yes, Isn’t it great?” You said smiling.

They all still all stared at you two in shock. Finally Newt broke the tension.

“Well, this is awkward.”

Your grin turned into frown at your family attitudes. But Newt sensing how you were feeling spoked up.

“But I'm very happy for you, little sister.”He told you smiling.
