How do you think Buck and Eddie are going to like admit their feelings? and who do you think is going to admit feelings first? Set the scene for me.

okay, so the way that i see it, there’s three ways this could potentially go down.

the explosion; this is the one where it just bursts out of them like a wild animal escaping its cage. the heat of the moment, frenzied confession. one of them is angry, or one of them is hurt, it’s thrown out in a fight like one would throw a dagger. the last yelled sentiment right before complete and total silence. or it’s the first thing that spills from their lips as the other lies in a hospital bed, after that moment of agony where one thought they’d lost the other forever. it’s the “well i didnt mean to say that, but i said that and damn if im gonna take it back now” option. in this case, it’s anyone’s guess who’ll be pushed to that spot first. it depends on the situation.

the quiet whisper; this one is my personal favorite, honestly. it’s the one where it just happens. falling in love like falling asleep. it grows and it grows and it grows like some uruly vine. just expands until there’s this moment where they both know without making a show of it that what they have has outgown the limits of friendship a long time ago. it’s when a hug bleeds into a kiss, and they both just go with it, where tangled fingers are as commonplace to them as breathing. it just IS. no need to question, no need for big confessions on either part, just a “we’re really doing this, aren’t we?” and the steady assurance of “yeah, yeah we are.”

the third is the dumbass special; which, with these two might just be the most likely. THIS is the option where everyone from the 118 to the fucking mail man know these two moron men are in love with each other but they’ve yet to get the memo. there’s bets in the firehouse of when it’s gonna happen, who’s gonna initiate, and by all accounts EVERYONE is wrong because they literally have to have it SPELLED OUT FOR THEM before it settles in thier stomachs like a ton of brick. I have a feeling it’d be family in this situation who’d finally get through to them, maddie and abulea or maybe even chris, but. EVERYONE ELSE, all thier hints, they’d write off as joking or being ridiculous, until someone reaches in that they can’t write off and shoves evidence they cant ignore under their noses. in THIS case, i still feel like they’d try to sit it, too afraid that if the other doesn’t feel the same way they’d have ruined the best thing they’ve got going to initiate conversation, they’d become slightly weird with each other, which would cause needless worry. they’d eventually have to talk because they’d be panicking thinking the other hates them and they CANT HAVE THAT and the truth would come spilling out. my gut says in this case, it’d be buck confessing and eddie assuring.

Okay, I started this blog in March, and now I have almost 1K followers so I think I owe you folks something a little better than just “I’m French and 25 cause both those things are in my bio.

1. I’m bisexual. I have known this (for sure) for about 3 years when I met a girl and went crazy because “holy shit she’s a girl and I’m a girl and I like her” and I still have a lot of feelings about her even though we never dated. I came out as bi in February to my mom and to everyone else in May. And that’s the scariest thing I ever did.

2. I’m French (yes it’s on my bio) and very insecure when I speak/write another language. I make a lot of mistakes and I’m not a good writer.

3. I have 0 ideas of what I’m gonna do with the rest of my life. I change my mind so many times and quit school multiple times. Now I’m 25 and lost.

4. TV Shows have helped me a lot in my life. 9-1-1: Lone Star is special to me for a couple reasons. Tarlos was the first gay couple I saw after I came out to my family. I was starting to regret coming out but these two remind me why I did it. The second reason is that TK’s relationship with Owen is the relationship I wish I had with my dad, so I can watch the show and pretend I would have this kind of relationship if he was still here.

5. I fucking love my mutuals. You are all amazing, sweet, nice, talented and supportive. I love you so much and you helped me a lot going through this crazy year. Whether we talked in the DM or just reblog each other’s posts while saying things in the tags, ILYSM.

Bitch did someone say childhood TRAUMA? I dunno, I mean, realistically, anything that Maddie’s been carrying THAT LONG (if it is about family or thier childhood) isn’t just about Buck anymore anyway, regardless of what it is? Like, please don’t get me wrong, any traumas he may have are his, and his experiences are valid and not at all a thing that belongs to anyone BUT him, but. What I’m saying is, the act of CARRYING something, keeping it silent? That’s a huge weight to bear all of its own. That in itself is going to effect HER too.

My gut says its familial. There’s just been SO MUCH mystery around thier parents and their upbringing that, I just have to wonder WHY? like are they part of the mafia? Did they kill a guy? OR are they just THAT SHITTY of parents? What is it? I NEED ANSWERS.

I feel like their experiences with their family is probably something they’ve both internalized, and maybe not....in a good way. Like the few times their parents have been offhandedly mentioned, it’s been, not with a good air. And I just. Wonder about the bitterness? Like I can’t IMAGINE the level of absolute anger that I would feel had I repeatedly almost died and my fucking family couldn’t be assed to make an appearance. On top of that, I’d wonder what I did to make them stop giving a shit about me? I dunno. I’m just saying, there’s gotta be a lot going on.

BUT WHAT DO I KNOW, MAYBE THIS SECRET ISN’T A BIG THING AT ALL? Potentially I’m just projecting here and being a dramatic bitch and Maddie just fucking forgot the corn flakes at the grocery store. You never know with this show, lets be real.
