The defintion of hell is knowing a show is incredibly well-received in its first season, but if people don’t become machines churning out tweets, content, and rewatching 24/7, there’s no likelihood it’ll get a chance to tell its whole story. This shit is madness. Shows in different genres shouldn’t have to pit-battle for dominance. First seasons are MEANT to be baselines establishing worlds and characters, not complete storylines. The idea that this golden age of television has turned into “get it done in one or get out” is revolting.

i think a hannibal season 4 should open up a few years later but then contain flashbacks to their journey to getting to where they are now. like flashbacks them in the ocean, them getting out, tending wounds. them arriving at their new home. dinners together, cooking together. first kiss, first kill, whatever. all interspersed between the main plotline.

hey what the fuck did they put in slf ep18

that was like. sincerely. without exaggeration. easily one of the best fight scenes i've seen in years. maybe one of the best i've seen ever. what started as "oh silly vrmmo show but looks pretty good" has gotten better and better, week after week, to the point where i can hardly believe how good it is

the animation was downright stellar in ep18, but the whole wethermon fight was excellent to me. i feel like i can say i watch A Lot of battle anime, and this was seriously among the best of the best. from start to finish the energy just never faltered (and the build-up in terms of lore was basically flawless too)

i'm just. completely blown away by how i had no expectations whatsoever for this series and it's quickly turned into one of my favorites of this (and last) season. it is silly, sure, but it is gripping! it doesn't take itself too seriously, but it's earnest in a way that just works so well

like the return of the stupid bird mask? epic fucking moment. even though it is objectively a silly ass map, it was such a !!!!!!!!! hype sequence when it returned. kickass nonsense is the best way i can think of to describe it. like sure it's nonsense, but it absolutely kicks ass

really really really hoping for another season now, 25 episodes won't be nearly enough

I started watching Naruto for my boy Gaara and I'm like five episodes in now with still only a few minutes of Gaara. I forgot he was kind of a minor antagonist 😩

also OH haha my trend of getting attached to minor slightly-to-fully redeemed villains did not start with Thad Thawne. It actually started with Chiaroscuro, I think, but Gaara is certainly an example of this pattern. I'm excited to see what I liked about him again, because I hardly remember him at all now. It's been years since I saw Naruto! I hardly remember anything!
