I wrote a thing
Red Rage ( ;])
Warriors grinned. “Two cards left! Fable how many do you win?”
Fable glanced at Legend. “I’ll say….one.”
“I’ll say one too”
“Are you sure Legend?” Warriors raised an eyebrow at him.
“Yeah” was the calm answer.
Everyone else seated at the table didn’t want to cause a fight so they all stuck to zero.
The Triumph color was red. But Fable didn’t place a red card. She just put down a green 14. It was Legends turn after her, he put down a cross. (The cross cancels out the triumph color, so the highest number wins. The highest number is a fifteen. Unless it’s a joker, the joker always wins) As one could tell by the many sighs of relief, no one had a fifteen, so Fable won this round. That was lucky. With 20 players you’d expect there to be a fifteen or a joker. Nice.
Fable then placed her second and last card on the table. A red zero. Oh shit. The oh shit moment didn’t last long when Legend then started cackling like a madman and placed a red fifteen. Wind then put down his red seven, the Smithy placed a blue four, giving Legend a suspicious glare, Twilight put down his card, so did Dot, until everyone placed the last card and it was time to count the points. Fable had gotten TWO plus five in the first round, one from Ravio and one from Time. Legend had also gotten two, but only one counted since Sky gave him a negative five.
So Fable got 21 points instead of 11, and Legend had gotten a proud 16. The majority of the group stared at them. Fable was not usually one to cheat, but this round was so perfect and calculated that there was a possibility that she did.
“You cheated!!” There came the first accusation from Wind.
“Ludicrous! We did no such thing” was Legend’s response. “Besides, how would we even commit…such an atrocious crime” he smirked.
“You spoke through telepathy didn’t you” Ravio smirked back at Legend. The latter let out a chuckle. “Psshh what noooooo” He began to giggle like little child. If Ravio knew one thing, it was that Legend wasn’t a bad liar, so he was doing this on purpose.
“It was just the power of friendship, that’s all” Fable smiled.
“And he said no. Like a liar” Twilight commented.
“Power of friendship, what are you, five?” Artemis started to point fingers. Everyone began to argue until Lullaby finished counting the rest of points and nudged Time, who cleared his throat.
“Last round?” He asked.
“Put every mirror, glass or magic pearl or whatever away that reflects your face.” Warriors put his beer behind his back. “So that NO ONE can cheat.”Fable and Legend sniggered while they hid their glasses behind their back too. Aurora glanced at them, and vet’s princess gave her a wink. Aurora then rolled her eyes.
“Oh yeah and Fable you sit next to me now”the captain commanded.
“Whaat” complained Legend. He pouted.
“It’s fine” The mage said, gave Legend a little kiss, before she snapped her fingers and teleported herself next to Wars. Not like it’ll change anything. ;3
On the count of three everyone put their card on their forehead. They continued normally til the end of the game. To noone’s surprise Fable won with 130 points, legend close second with 122. Dusk was third place with 89.
The two high-fived and spent the rest of the evening in the inn rubbing it in everyone’s faces.

my mizuena zombie au is honestly one of my favorites. basically mizuki falls head over heels for ena but flirts horribly, and now follows the other around like a lost puppy. and the whole time ena is very confused and close to just taking out the legs and running for it. also somehow there are two versions of the virtual singers, their digital versions and real life. uhm digital mikurin are ‘infected’ and very unhelpful, and the others just stay away from them,, idk I thought zombie miku was goofy

Whumptober Day 20: Fetal Position (Hyrule)
Read here or on AO3. Trigger warnings: trans man menstruating plus a lot of discussion about it, gender dysphoria/dysmorphia. It gets better though!!! A special guest star helps
Hyrule hobbled down the stairs and promptly collapsed face-first on the couch. He then curled his legs underneath him and shoved his face deeper into the pillows.
“Uh, ‘Roolie?” Legend asked. Hyrule groaned in response.
“Are you dying? What’s happening?” Wind asked.
“Cramps,” Hyrule said, voice muffled by the cushions.
“Oh, that sucks,” Legend said sincerely.
Hyrule curled tighter in on himself as a spike of pain stabbed through his uterus.
“Bad ones?” Sky asked.
Hyrule nodded, voice lost to the pain. A hand gently rested on his back and began rubbing comforting circles.
“Good thing we’re here, then. You can just rest,” Sky said. His voice was closer than before, so Hyrule assumed it was him on the couch.
There was a knock on the doorframe. Hyrule could only raise his eyes, and otherwise stayed completely still.
“C’mon boys,” Time called. He was standing at the doorway in his farming clothes.
“Time to earn your keep,” he added, cracking a lopsided smile. Twilight groaned and dropped his face into his hands. Hyrule thought he heard a mumbled why in there somewhere.
Hyrule took a deep breath, steeled himself, and pushed up into a sitting position. He couldn’t keep the grimace off his face; even the small movement sent pain shooting through his gut and his back. A wave of nausea hit him and he scrunched his eyes shut.
“Yeah, no. I don’t think so,” Legend said. Sky applied a gentle pressure to his shoulder, trying to guide him back down, but Hyrule resisted. He cracked an eye open to find everyone staring at him with concern.
Hyrule frowned, and wiped all evidence of pain off his face. “I’m fine, guys really. I can help.”
“What’s wrong?” Time asked.
“Cramps,” Hyrule said in a small voice. They all knew what he meant, there was no need to elaborate.
Time nodded. “Stay here and rest,” he said. Hyrule shook his head.
“I’ve worked through them before. I had to, on my adventures,” Hyrule argued. Sky squeezed his shoulder.
“There’s no need to push yourself,” Sky said.
“You’re safe here,” Time added, piercing Hyrule with his wise gaze. “Let us take care of you, for once.”
Hyrule hesitated. The voice in the back of his mind, the one that still sounded suspiciously feminine, screamed that he had to get up. He had to prove himself to them, had to make sure they knew he was still capable, no matter his gender. But as he glanced around the room, the faces of his friends were filled with only concern, no judgment.
His muscles clenched, and Hyrule flinched. He had to admit, even just to himself, that these were some of the worst cramps he had ever experienced. Maybe it would be nice to just rest, for once. Hyrule sighed, and let Sky push him back down onto the soft cushions.
“Okay,” Hyrule conceded. “Thank you.”
Time nodded, and rested a hand on his hip. “Good. There’s still work to do, and no getting out of it for the rest of you. Go on.”
Time waved his hand towards the door and the other heroes filed out. Legend smiled and gave Hyrule a thumbs up as he left the room.
“I’ll send Malon in,” Time said, then followed the others out the door.
Hyrule’s mind was so clouded that he didn’t realize he hadn’t come out to Malon until she softly shuffled into the room. His heart rate spiked, and he looked up at her with wide eyes.
“Don’t worry, love, it’s just me,” Malon said. She pulled over a chair, set a basket down on it, then lowered herself onto the couch beside him.
“I assume you already have cloths, but I have extra here if you need them. I have a few different teas, raspberry leaf, ginger, or chamomile are the best for cramping. I have water boiling for the tea and for a hot pack, if you want that too,” Malon said, pulling the various items out of her basket. Hyrule stared, and when he didn’t respond Malon met his eyes with her questioning gaze.
“You’re… okay with this?” Hyrule asked softly.
“Of course,” Malon replied, not missing a beat.
Hyrule blinked. Then, he gave Malon a small smile. Of course she would accept him, he admonished himself.
“What else is going on up there?” Malon asked. She tapped her knuckles gently against Hyrule’s head.
Hyrule sighed, and let out a breathy laugh. He wasn’t surprised Malon could read him so well. Time always said she was all-knowing, after all.
“It’s hard, sometimes, being…” Hyrule paused, words caught in his throat. He was comfortable with his identity at this point, but it was a lot harder to say things out loud. He trusted Malon, of course he did, but he hasn’t spent a lot of time with her. He swallowed, shook his head, and carried on.
“It’s always worse when I’m bleeding. Feels like all the effort I’ve put into my gender identity and expression is… I don’t know, it doesn’t mean as much? And it reminds me I’m not like everyone else, and even though I know they accept me, sometimes I still feel like I have to prove myself,” Hyrule explained. He dropped his gaze.
“Not everyone is so accepting,” Hyrule added in a small voice. Malon hesitated for a long moment. Before she spoke, she placed one of her hands on top of Hyrule’s.
“You know, my Link questioned his gender for a long time,” Malon said, a conspiratorial smile on her face.
Hyrule’s jaw dropped. “Really? But he seems so sure of himself.”
“He is now, but it took a long time to get there. When I first met him, he hardly understood gender at all.” Malon chuckled.
“Wow,” Hyrule whispered.
“He really hasn’t told you that?” Malon asked. Hyrule shook his head. Malon tsked.
“He never has been very good at sharing. Well, only with me, it seems,” she muttered the last bit to herself with a smile.
“The others fully accept who I am, and they treat me as a man. I guess it’s just hard to convince myself, sometimes,” Hyrule said, gaze fixed on his feet.
Malon squeezed his hands and put a finger under his chin. She pushed his chin up gently, and Hyrule allowed his eyes to meet hers.
“Now I want you to listen to this closely,” Malon said, voice suddenly serious.“I don’t know exactly how you’re feeling, but I know you. You’re one of the bravest men I know. You can conquer this, too.”
Hyrule felt all the breath leave his body in one fell swoop. A tear pushed its way out of his eye and trailed a path down his cheek. He threw himself into Malon’s arms, and held on as tightly as he could. Malon caught him easily and hugged him securely against her chest.
“Thank you,” Hyrule said, voice wavering and thick with emotion.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)
At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.
Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

was talking with a friend about how some of dunmeshi fаndom misunderstands kabru's initial feelings towards laios.
to sum up kabru's situation via a self-contained modernized metaphor:
kabru is like a guy who lost his entire family in a highly traumatic car accident. years later he joins a discord server and takes note of laios, another server member who seems interesting, so they start chatting. then laios reveals his special interest and favorite movie of all time is David Cronenberg's Crash (1996), and invites kabru to go watch a demolition derby with him
#dungeon meshi#delicious in dungeon#kabru#kabru already added laios as a discord friend. everyone else in the server can see laios excitedly asking kabru to go with him#what would You even Do in this situation. how would YOU feel?#basically: kabru isnt a laios-hater! hes just in shock bc Thats His Trauma. the key part is kabru still says yes#bc he wants to get to know laios. to understand why laios would be so fascinated by something horrific to him#and ALSO bc even while in shock kabru can still tell laios has unique expertise + knowledge that Could be used for Good#even if kabru doesnt fully trust laios yet (bc kabru just started talking to the guy 2 hours ago. they barely know each other)#kabru also understands that getting to know ppl (esp laios) means having to get to know their passions. even if it triggers his trauma here#but thats too much to fit in this metaphor/analogy. this is NOT an AU! its not supposed to cover everything abt kabru or laios' character!#its a self-contained metaphor written Specifically to be more easily relatable+thus easy to understand for general ppl online#(ie. assumed discord users. hence why i said (a non-specific) 'discord server' and not something specific like 'car repair subreddit')#its for ppl who mightve not fully grasped kabru's character+intentions and think hes being mean/'chaotic'/murderous.#to place ppl in kabru's shoes in an emotionally similar situation thats more possible/grounded in irl experiences and contexts.#and also for the movie punchline#mynn.txt#dm text#crossposting my tweets onto here since my friends suggested so

why is religious Christmas imagery all so joyful and pleasant? where is the inherent horror of the birth of Christ? A mother is handed her newborn child, wailing and innocent. Her hands come away sticky. Red. Simply by giving her son life she has already killed him. He is doomed from the beginning. Her love will not save him from suffering. Because the thing cradled in her arms is not a baby, it is a sacrifice: born amongst the other bleating animals whose blood will one day be spilled in the name of what demands it. the night is silent with anticipation. Mary, did you know? That your womb was also a grave?

Whumptober Day 31: Comfort, Bedside Vigil, "You can rest now" (Four & Legend)
AO3 link. Trigger warnings: mild description of injury, concussion. Final installment of Day 6: Screams from Across the Hall. Finally :D
Part 3/3. Part 1. Part 2.
Final whumptober!!! Thank you so much to everyone who was a part of this, whether you left likes and comments, read every day or only one prompt, I appreciate you and your support!!!!!!!! <3 Whumptober has been an incredibly fun challenge and I’ve enjoyed every interaction that came out of it. I’ll for sure be doing more prompt challenges in the future, so stay tuned! :D
Voices swam into focus as Four slowly woke. Wind was telling a story from his adventures, but Four couldn’t get his mind to focus on the words. He must have said something funny, because soft laughter came from all corners of the room. Someone’s laughter vibrated against his back.
Although it was soft, the laughter pierced Four’s ears and sent a spike of pain through his skull. He flinched, curling tighter into himself. The sounds cut off abruptly, and a gentle hand landed on his back.
“Smithy? You awake?” Legend asked in a whisper. Four cracked one eye open and found himself staring at a wooden wall. He tried to sit up and turn around, but was hit with a wave of nausea and collapsed back onto the bed.
“Woah, slow down. Don’t try to move too much, you’ve got a nasty concussion,” Legend explained. Four focused his breathing through his nose, eyes scrunched tightly closed, and after a moment the nausea lessened.
“You wanna sit?” Legend asked.
“Yeah,” Four replied. The rasp in his voice surprised him, and he swallowed thickly. Legend put one hand on Four’s upper arm and the other braced against his back.
“Ready?” Legend whispered.
“Yeah,” Four said. He pushed up with one arm and, with Legend doing most of the lifting, got himself into a sitting position. Four kept his eyes squeezed shut and grasped onto Legend’s sleeve, trying to ground himself as the world spun madly. Once again, the nausea passed without incident and Four risked cracking open one eye.
The room was blessedly dark, with the curtains drawn to block out the sunlight filtering in through the window. Four was grateful, as even the little light there was made his head start to throb. He was in Time’s bedroom, he realized, and the small room was packed with the other heroes.
Warriors, Wind, and Sky were in chairs on Four’s side of the bed. Hyrule was asleep on a cot in the corner, and even in his sleep looked exhausted. Four wracked his brain, but he couldn’t remember a single detail of what was going on.
His confusion must have shown on his face. Sky leaned forward in his chair beside the bed, resting his elbows on his knees. He put one hand on the bed in front of Four.
“Do you remember what happened?” Sky asked softly. Four blinked in confusion, but his mind was still blank.
“No,” Four whispered. Another spike of pain went through his head, and he leaned back against Legend.
“You, Legend, and Time were captured,” Sky explained. His eyes wandered to the other side of the bed, and Four gently turned his head to follow Sky’s gaze.
And his heart dropped to his feet. Time was lying in the bed, eyes closed and skin pale. There were scratches all across his face, and a thick cut on his throat. The blankets were pulled over his shoulders, but Four could still see the thick bandages starting below the blankets. Twilight was in a chair next to the bed, one hand resting on Time’s arm beneath the blankets.
Four felt his blood run cold, but he still couldn’t remember what had happened. He looked at Legend with wide, frantic eyes. Legend had a broken look on his face as he started down at Time, and Four’s heart skipped a beat.
“What happened to him?” Four whispered. Legend hesitated for a moment, then tore his gaze from Time. His eyes met Fours briefly, then dropped to his lap.
“They had us in a cell, and Time in another,” Legend began in a low voice. It was almost mechanical, wiped of any emotion. “They were…” His eyes flicked back to Time. Four got the message.
“We couldn’t do anything, just had to listen. Then they came in and were going to take me, but you jumped up and punched the guy straight in the face,” Legend explained. He broke off with a small laugh. “Not sure how you reached, honestly. You already had a concussion, and the guard threw you into the wall.”
“We got there pretty soon after that,” Warriors added, a guilty expression clear on his face.
“Who were they?”
“Said something about Ganon, and they wanted Time’s ocarina,” Legend said. “They couldn’t get anything out of him. Had us for leverage.”
Twilight blew out a harsh breath, and clenched his fist tight enough to turn his knuckles white. “Some of the only people who know what he’s done, and this is how they treat you.” He shook his head.
Four shuddered. “I don’t remember,” he muttered, dropping his head down on Legend’s shoulder. Legend wrapped an arm around his shoulders and pulled him close.
“That’s probably for the best,” Warriors said.
Four belatedly realized who exactly he was cuddling with. The veteran hardly ever showed his affection this way, and was among the least likely to give out a hug. Yet here he was, pulling Four close with an arm around his shoulder, shoved into a small space on the bed between Four and Time.
Four glanced up at Legend’s face. Legend was looking down at Time. There were deep, dark bags under his eyes, and as close as he was Four could make out dried tear tracks on his face. His hair was greasy and matted, and there were colorful bruises forming on his cheeks.
There was a soft knock on the door. Legend’s grip on Four tightened, and his entire body tensed. Four glanced up at the door and saw Wild peeking his head through the crack.
“Hey, food’s ready,” Wild said, then pushed the door fully open with his hip. Legend’s muscles relaxed, and Four heard his long sigh. Four pressed his body closer to Legend, and as he was adjusting he noticed Legend’s hand on Time’s chest.
“Oh, Four! You’re awake!” Wild exclaimed. Four flinched at the sound as pain shot through his head. He shut his eyes as multiple people shushed Wild.
“Sorry,” Wild whispered.
“How’s your head, dear?” Malon asked. Four cracked one eye open in surprise; he hadn’t heard her come in. She set her tray of food down on a dresser then lowered herself onto the corner of the bed, just below Time’s feet.
“It’s fine,” Four replied automatically. She gave him an unimpressed look, and Legend nudged Four’s side with his elbow.
“How are you really?” Malon asked.
“Um. It hurts, and I’m pretty dizzy,” Four said. Malon nodded, and went back to the tray. She picked up a cup and handed it to Four, who took it with only slightly shaking hands.
“This will help,” Malon said. “Drink all of it,” she added, hand on her hip. Four complied.
“Now, red potions won’t help much with the concussion, but that tea should help soothe the pain. Your traveler has exhausted his magic, so you might have to heal up the old fashioned way,” Malon explained.
Malon flitted around the room as she talked, handing out bowls and cups to the other heroes. She placed the tray on the bed in front of Four and Legend last. Four’s stomach growled, and he took his bowl gratefully.
“Has he woken?” Malon asked. She sat down on the bed again, and rested her hand gently on Time’s leg under the bed.
“No, thankfully. Sleeping like a rock,” Sky said. He turned to Four to offer an explanation. “He wouldn’t let himself sleep until he knew you and Legend were okay.”
“He’ll be fine, don’t you worry. Just needs to rest and heal,” Malon said.
Four felt warmth course through his body. Of course, he thought, the old man wouldn’t rest. He didn’t like it, but he couldn’t deny he enjoyed being loved and protected. Four cracked a smile, then dug into his bowl.
Soft conversations rose around the room as everyone ate the meal. Everyone was careful of their volume for Four’s sake, and he was grateful. Being upright and awake was draining, and by the time Four was halfway through his food he felt his eyes drooping.
“Hey, you need to eat,” Legend whispered. Four blinked his eyes open and looked at Legend’s own bowl. It was still full, just mushed and pushed around. Four gave Legend the harshest glare he could manage with his rapidly fading energy.
“I’m not the one with the concussion,” Legend argued. He had the decency to blush, at least, Four thought.
“You too,” Four said, and stared at Legend until he started to eat. Four smiled.
Four managed a few more bites, but he was having an increasingly harder time staying awake. His eyes fell closed, and he couldn’t find the energy to open them again. He felt the bowl being pulled from his limp hands, and then he was lowered down onto the pillows.
“You should rest too, vet,” Warriors said softly. Legend started to argue, but was quickly shot down by everyone in the room. He grumbled, then lowered himself down next to Four. Four pushed himself against Legend, who huffed a surprised laugh.
Four was quickly lulled to sleep by the comforting weight of Legend’s chest behind him, rising and falling in time with his breaths, and the soft voices of his companions, all alive and happy.
