Hoe maak je een simpele bord erwtensoep luxer? Door vlees te vervangen door vis en hier wat munt aan toe te voegen. Dit recept is licht genoeg om in de zomer te eten maar ook weer niet te slank om hier tijdens de koude winter- of feestdag van te genieten. Een restaurant waardig gerecht op tafel zetten tijdens Kerst is soms makkelijker dan je zou denken.

thanks for asking,

My favourite dish that's truly Dutch might be not a dish but kruidnoten, that I call pepernoten but those are actually different and less nice.

On a cold winter day sometimes the lakes and canals are frozen (it's been a while sadly) but then erwtensoep (and even better the next day its called snert, same thing just older) is lovely.

On the day I was born my parents ate "boerenkool" which literally translates as Farmers-cabbage. I never used to like it but my husband (who is actually from Friesland) makes a mean "Stroepmoes" that I've come to love!

SNERT!!! idk if that is what anon also meant BUT in dutch culture snert is a traditional dish! (other word for it is erwtensoep or peasoup directly translated)

its basically, a pea based soup dish with whatever extra veggies and meat you have left put into a sudge, its great its very like 'put all the extras together' winter dish! its very thick and filling!

2nd Christmas Day is here and it's family dinner time. It's like, the fourth holiday dinner in a row yo. So I made vegetarian snert (substituted smoked sausage for smoked cheese). This is gonna be goooooood. I had some doubt whether it would thicken up properly, but it did!

If only all love was reciprocated or accepted, not just 'you're a stalker' or 'you're too much of a burden' or 'your whole existence is so problematic to others' combined with spitting up, shaming, silence, teasing... all that awful spoiled boyish cartoonishness that flies in the USA and, to a lesser extent, anywhere people are ill-mannered, as so many people are in the world. After all, world wars break out. That's not what well-mannered people would do with their time in the true sense of well-mannered, is it? Well, I need to shut down my mind's review of the human race's flaws for tonight.

I don't need to stick my dick in. I don't need to possess anyone. That's not love. I just wish you could love people and give to them without them hating you. Even my biological brother hates me because he has more to gain from hating me than loving me. I feel like a fool for giving him so much, only to realise that hatred from him was the only possible result no matter what I did... merely because he had more to gain from hating which is tied to taking.

That's what's heartbreaking... platonic love, or electronic lust-love, based around which I do most of the giving and they do most of the recieving... it's rejected and leads to hatred of me. Folks are just that entitled, looking for someting 'better' than me, or looking for more dominance of others (I'm an equalist, you see, and don't like to dominate).

Erwtensoep, Ontbijtkoek, Beschuit met muisjes, Stamppot, Kibbeling, Vlammetjes... there's a lot to experience in The Netherlands still.

Heb ik ook! Direct de neiging om oranje vlaggetjes op te hangen! Als we het over snert hebben. Ik vind eigenlijk dat de klm naast stroopwafels ook iedereen een kopje snert moet aanbieden, wordt vast een grote hit! Ben trouwens ook helemaal kwijt of wij wel een typisch zomer gerecht hebben? Stamppot en snert etc zijn eerder winter voer in mijn beleving?

Ik krijg af en toe spontaan het Wilhelmus in m’n kop. Vreselijk. En de snert—geweldig idee! Iedereen wordt happy van erwtensoep denk ik. Met geroosterd bruin brood op een paar mijl hoogte. Perfect. Het hele vliegtuig ruikt gelijk naar een kringloopwinkel.

Typisch Nederlands zomervreten is 100% stokjes of hamburgers op de barbecue, met pindasaus en voorgesneden stokbrood (bonuspunten als er ook komkommer en kruidenkaas is). En zo’n salade in aluminium wegwerp bakken die je bij de slager kan halen (of in een wit plastic emmertje). Dat dus, of groentesoep met vermicelli. Of aardappelen met jus, gekookte boontjes met nootmuskaat, en een gehaktbal, want da’s jaar-rond denk ik.

And also!! Yeah!! I can’t believe I fully forgot hanging up your bag with the Dutch (or your province’s) flag after graduating. Maybe Prinsjesdag as well? And circle-birthdays with a nation-wide set schedule and rules my beloathed.

1. favourite place in your country?

Groningen. I went to uni there (as did a large part of the country) and it has an incredibly special place in my heart. Absolutely lovely city to live in.

To be a little more ‘exact’, the Folkingestraat in the direction of the Vismarkt.

2. do you prefer spending your holidays in your country or travel abroad?

Abroad! The weather is shit 9 out of 10 times! I will go to at least the south of France even if it kills me! Give me heat and a good baguette and I will be happy! But if I see other Dutch people I will shrivel into a shrimp of shame.

29. does your region/city have a beef with another place in your country?

It’s a region in Europe of course we do.

In order of importance: the village 5km away, the city 10km away, the province next door (Groningen), the provinces below the rivers, and Holland in general. You’ll never guess which part of NL I’m from 🫡🫡

Maandag 8 januari worden er ‘snertwandelingen’ georganiseerd vanuit de dagbestedingslocaties van Zorggroep Ter Weel in de dorpen Kruiningen, Yerseke, Krabbendijke en Rilland. De wandelingen starten op iedere locatie om 14.00 uur. Hierbij wordt ongeveer 2,5 km gewandeld in groepsverband. Bovendien is er ook voldoende plek voor mensen in een rolstoel. Oftewel iedereen is van harte welkom om deel te nemen aan deze wandelingen! Gratis erwtensoep Na afloop is er voor iedereen erwtensoep en gelegenheid om samen nog een toost uit te brengen op het nieuwe jaar. Daarnaast staat er ook voor iedereen een ‘goodiebag’ klaar, mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Calvijn College, ’t Wienckeltje, Zorggroep Ter Weel, Zeeuwse Gronden en de Gemeente Reimerswaal. Goodiebag schenken aan een ander Het is niet de bedoeling deze ‘goodiebag’ zelf te houden, maar om deze te schenken aan iemand in je omgeving, die wel een leuk extraatje kan gebruiken. Zo snijdt het mes in deze wandeling aan vele kanten. Er wordt met elkaar bewogen waarbij iedereen welkom is, gezelligheid tijdens en na afloop en een maatschappelijk tintje doordat iedereen zijn of haar ‘goodiebag’ aan iemand anders schenkt. Aanmelden Inschrijven voor deze ‘snertwandeling’ is mogelijk tot uiterlijk dinsdag 2 januari a.s. via een e-mail naar onze ‘buurtsportcoach’ Pieter Israel: [email protected]. Ik zag de poll met random Nederlands eten en dacht gelijk aan Heel Holland bakt van gisteren: ik was een beetje verbaasd dat de technische opdracht een gefrituurd bakje huzarensalade was en niet iets meer… typisch Nederlands?Dus:
