I’ve come to make an announcement!
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m doing a prompt week, starting Monday(just to give y’all enough time to prepare)!
What’s the theme? Well, rarepairs! Around this time of year, the fanart space is often overrun with oversaturated fandom-favorite pairings and there’s rarely any room for the more underrated stuff! That’s why I’m hosting this week.
This week is primarily focused around the Undertale AU community, but plenty of other fandoms are welcome! Here are the prompts! (There are image descriptions in alt text)
But wait, there’s more!
Bonus prompts are entirely optional, and can either replace one of the main week prompts or be done afterwards! You decide!
now, let’s get to the important part, read these carefully;
THE RULES:
-please @ me in art created for this project, I’m not gonna force you to but I’d appreciate it if you did
-however, tag all posts with “#rarepair week 2024” in order to keep things organized!
-Ok let’s get this out of the way, absolutely NO pro/ship or com/ship content. No incest, no pe/dophilia. If your ship ain’t legal, it ain’t allowed.
-No ship-bashing. If someone’s pairing is legal and ethical, don’t dog on them for it. I also don’t want any discourse on whether or not a pairing is abusive, if someone isn’t adhering to canon and isn’t portraying it in an unhealthy way, they don’t need flack for it.
-On that note, no romanticizing abuse either. None of that.
-I can’t believe I have to say this, but rarepairs only! Of course what constitutes as a rarepair is subjective, but if it’s a pairing you see very often or is considered the standard for those given characters, it’s not allowed. No Errorink, no Nightkiller, no Cream, no Afterdeath. It’s not that these pairings are bad, they’re just not rarepairs.

Errorink headcannon!
(Error belongs to Loverofpiggies, Ink belongs to Comyet)
Once when Error was distracted watching 'Undernovela', Ink stole his Sans doll and hid it in one of the AUs as a prank, since Ink loves to tease people. So when Error went to look for his precious doll, he couldn't find it. Error searched his antivoid for awhile before finally confronting Ink.
However, Ink, by this time, had completely forgotten that he hid it. Because of this, when Error confronted him, Ink couldn't remember what happened.
A few days later, Ink remembered that he hid the doll, but couldn't remember where. He told Error this, and for about a week Error continued to visit different AU's, before finally finding it in Classic Sans' universe.
Error was extremely frustrated with Ink, and refused to talk to Ink after he found the doll. Ink apolgized a few times, but eventually decided it was best to leave Error alone for a bit so he could burn off some steam.
About a day after Error started to ignore Ink, he traveled to Ink's Doodlesphere because he was bored. When Ink saw Error, he simply smiled and continued to survey the AU's. Error begrudgingly sat down near Ink silently, still annoyed but not wanting to be alone.
And the two spent the day together, not saying a word to eachother, and simply sitting in comfortable silence, since neither of the skeletons wanted to be by themselves.
Heya! Hope you like the Headcannon, because I absolutely love this idea.

Errorink is a ship I could see working in some situations; providing they didn't have a deep close connection and it was more of a situationship. Most because Ink is incapable of feeling without his vials and I feel like it would really hurt Error to find out that Ink doesn't actually care about him- because he can't.
I feel like a lot of relationships with Ink are rather toxic- not because i don't like the silly guy (I genuinely do, he's such an interesting character)- but rather because Ink is simply just. . . incapable of feeling.
I can definitely see them having a rival-like friendship though.
Platonic Vibe
Swapmare is definitely an interesting concept! Depending on the situation, it's either fluff with a tad bit of toxicity, or full-blown toxic. Depends whether we're doing "Dadmare" or his canon self.
Assuming it's the Nightmare that actually cares, I feel like it'd be a relatively alright relationship. Definitely a lot of bumps in the road, though I like to think of Blue having a very strong belief but being generally morally ambiguous. There's definitely a big power difference at play, but I feel like Blue would have a reasonably good affect on Nightmare.
. . . Stretch would be absolutely pissed and so concerned though, so there's definitely that. I'm not about to say that Blue wouldn't leave Stretch behind (wouldn't fully, at least), but I do have a co-AU of Blue where he dusted everyone. So, uh, I can imagine Blue being fiercely protective of Nightmare, and if lines are crossed- dust is shed.
A Vibe, in the right circumstances.
Cream is... one I had to think for a while on. On one hand: Cute! Interesting! I can see it working! But on the other hand: No.
Again, everything is purely up to circumstance, but I do headcanon Dream to struggle with controlling his constantly positive aura. Dream might take up Cross as a "i can fix him" project, but Cross doesn't want to be fixed. He just wants freedom. Cross is very duty-bound, and Dream is often portrayed to be so optimistic it hurts sometimes- 'cause y'know, he has to be.
I feel like Dream's ceaseless positivity and general optimism would tire Cross out to the point where they just. . . stopped working as well anymore.
It would start out well I think, but I like to headcanon that Dream can't really look past the sin; similarly to how Classic can't look past the LV and EXP in most cases. Dream may be a positive influence and try to help everyone, but at the end of the day, I don't feel like he's that empathetic, and clearly needs to work through a lot of things before he can be healthy enough in a relationship for Cross and Dream to work together properly.
Less of a Vibe.
Bloodycrops is a ship I like. One that's actually quite healthy, though I can imagine a bit of struggle for Saejun to fully accept the things Horror has done (having not really gone through anything bad enough to understand why Horror did what he did). I feel like gradually they'd grow together, over a long period of time, and it'd be quite sweet.
Though, dealing with Horror's base instincts popping up and those he'd learned is going to be difficult. So is how long it's going to take for Saejun to fully realise just how many trauma triggers and trauma responses Horror has from what he's been through (Recovery is a very windy road with a lot of roundabouts).
As someone who plays as Horror in an SMP, I feel like whenever he feels as if he's getting dangerous or angry, he needs to leave that situation and be out in the wild for a while. This leads to Horror being gone for days- or weeks- at a time, out in the forest, away from everything as he gets a grip on himself again. But every time he comes home, it's always to a familiar grin and a cup of hot cocoa.
A Vibe
Murderswap is pretty interesting! If we're going off of my Headcanons for Blue, I think there would definitely be some struggles here and there. As sweet and awesome as Blue is, he's never gone through enough struggle to get why the others around him did what they did.
They'd have to learn to grow with each other over a long period of time, and Blue would have to get a lot less scolding and grumpy whenever Dust's areas are messy. Dust doesn't like being ordered to do things, which is why his Nightmare usually asks him to do things- or gives him an incentive to get it done. And he doesn't like being lectured, either, as it reminds him too much of his Papyrus and that can and will make his LV jump if Blue's not careful. Playful arguments and goofy grumbling is probably alright, though.
Stretch is definitely a roadblock. Not only would he absolutely detest Dust for having done what he's done, but he'd probably find some sort of way to attempt to get Blue to stop visiting Dust.
( Everything is down to circumstance, though. )

Can you tell me more about the comic? I’m very interested 🤩
1840s AU (10 chapters) centered around Afterdeath (just cause’ haha) Both of them are University professors, Geno being an exchange prof at Reaper’s campus due to <cough cough plot spoilers>
A lot of AUs make a comeo-ish appearance but yea. I’m planning on writing an Errorink (platonic/romantic up to interpretation) one shot after finishing this one as they leave an unfinished story arc in BA&RR. Other than that I suppose the main themes are revolution (monster equality n such) and possssibly and hopefully a good rivals to lovers arc.
Main plot points are the scientific research project both of them are in (anonymously) called the “Greater Good”, in which Reaper was unfortunately chosen to rob graves for human soul essence in hopes of strengthening monster souls. I think the fun part about their secret lives are that the two are paired up quite often in addition to Geno’s implied crush on Reaper, code named ‘Death’. This will then be wrapped up when <COUGH SPOILERS>
(I’m trying to refrain myself from spilling tooooo much but yup)
I think what sparked off this idea was a midnight thought of “what if I wrote a ‘historical’ rivals to lovers Afterdeath fanfic” to which I said yes. I initially planned to update the fic once a week but due to my inconsistent motivation surges I’m leaving it on a bit of a hiatus as of now until I finish my current project.
If you want to read ahead of the comic, there’s a fic on AO3 that will be updated HOPEFULLY TONIGHT.

… I poofed again. For a lot longer than I realized ngl XD
Got a lil caught up in some things, like preparing for the fall quarter, driving, and uh. These lil gremlins.
The house feels empty without our dogs… so we got two kittens from a shelter, and it’s been just a little easier ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
But overall, I haven’t had a lot of time to draw or write, aside from a little bird doodle in class. … which I’ll put it at the bottom why not. So my plan of posting two bitty dragon drabbles is. Changing. I think. Instead of presenting the Not So Sad Errorink one first, I’m gonna post the Sad Reaper One and work on Errorink in my spare time. XD
So beware. Sad bitty one-shot incoming. After I read through it again. I’m still working on part two to Noodle Night’s hoard — it’s getting there just very slowly, I swear lmao. And uhhh, I’ll answer some asks later this week! (ﾉ´ヮ´)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
