Mini headcanon

As a kid, mini's parents thought that their daughter had a lot of imaginary friends.

in reality, they were ghosts. Once, mini's mother found her five-year-old daughter crying, with a burnt tongue, and a box of matches scattered around her.

when she asked what had happened, mini had said, between tears, "the nice lady told me not to do it. . . but it seemed so cool! she lit a match with her teeth!"

her mom was obviously concerned. either mini was hallucinating or strangers got into their backyard.

but mini swore that a nice, blonde lady with blue eyes had been speaking to her for a long time. a guy came with her too, sometimes, "a guy who looks a lot like dad!"

they were her first friends, but after some time, they stopped meeting her, which made her feel sad.

years later, through a faded photograph and a conversation with her lola, she found out who they were.

LAILA ▪️ THE GILDED WOLVES

I finished the first book last night, and as soon as I finished I just knew I had to make fanart. I'm planning to make a portrait for all the main characters, but I'll be taking my time (but I promise I'll rly try).

Talking about the book, I'm beyond grateful megan rly encouraged me to read it right away because I love it so much—scored its way to my favorites. The characters are beyond amazing, plus the interactions are funny and generally wholesome. I decided to draw Laila first because I recognized a bit of myself in her—the instinct to take care of everyone in your circle. But im not even half as amazing as this woman, she's just phenomenal and I'm excited to read more about her and the gang.

So, here's Laila. I hope you love it, because I very much enjoyed making this (even though I realized how bad I am at hands, but this was good practice)
