alright here we go! edits of the leader, deputy, and medicine cat of each clan outside of PhoenixClan! dw i will be drawing my own art of these characters eventually too :) i just really had fun editing these sprites, and it has made finalizing a new design a really nice experience

anyways, without further adieu! here they are:

MouseClan

The cats closest to HawkClan, both as allies and as neighbours. The cats of MouseClan live in deep burrows within their moorland home, and were the least affected by the great fire, as they found refuge underground; only their leader fell to smoke inhalation.

Leader - Foxstar

Female; 64 moons old; sincere; very clever and camp keeper

Deputy - Nightstorm

Male; 60 moons old; thoughtful; valuable insight and keen eyed

Medicine Cat - Poppybloom

Female; 16 moons old; nervous; talented swimmer and omen sight

FerretClan

HawkClan's greatest rivals, who fought the fiercest with them on many occasions. They live within burrows in tree stumps, near a TwolegPlace. Though HawkClan was the most devastated by the great fire, FerretClan was also deeply impacted by the fire, losing their leader, deputy, and oldest medicine cat all in one event. The other clans feel... concerned, about the new leadership, though they try not to voice their disdain.

DeerClan

DeerClan are said to be the oldest and wisest of the clans of the area - however, some of the other clans believe them to be stuck in their ways. Though they were impacted by the great fire, their old ways actually helped them to avoid major losses, allowing their now-ancient leader and medicine cat to survive.

Leader - Elmstar

Male; 180 moons old; charismatic; incredibly clever and eloquent speaker

Deputy - Owlstripe

Male; 54 moons old; arrogant; beloved kitsitter and trusted advisor

Medicine Cat - Deerfang

Male; 130 moons old; cold; prophet and incredibly clairvoyant

AdderClan

AdderClan are incredibly secretive compared to the other clans. These cats always seem to be on their toes, unsure of whether or not they can trust the other clans. Even their camp is located in an isolated grotto that hides them well from the rest of the forest. None of the other clans know if AdderClan lost any cats to the fire, as none have been declared and their leadership has stayed the same.

Deputy - Mosquitofang

Female; 72 moons old; daring; incredible climber and fast as the wind

Leaders

A fairly straightforward role, a Leader is the cat who primarily runs and speaks on behalf of the clan. They make final decisions, perform ceremonies, and are gifted 9 lives by Starclan.

In clan history, a leader's reign is an Era. For instance, if a cat wanted to refer to The Great Battle from OOTS, they'd say "From the end of The Fire Era" as, obviously, there's more than one historic event called The Great Battle, as thats a broad name. If there are leaders with the same name in the same clan's history, they'd usually use the second leader's suffix. Tiger Era vs Heart Era.

Stepping down from leadership is rare, but does happen. Pinestar is the biggest example within semi-recent clan history, depending on the arc. The most recent is Rowanstar, though under different circumstances than canon.

Until sometime after Arc 4, there was no age in which a leader is forced to retire, which can go very badly if a leader's personality changes due to age-based issues. Mistystar was the cause of this change, as she started forgetting her own lineage and banning half-clan cats from Riverclan near the end of her reign. Eventually, her son Reedwhisker talked her into retiring early. I'm not sure who replaces her, wether its Reedwhisker or someone else, feel free to suggest.

When a leader is not available to make decisions, wether from sickness, injury, or physically not being present, the leadership is passed onto the deputy. If the deputy is unable to take it, then it passes down to the medicine cat(s).

However, there is The Medicine Clause, created by Shadowclan post-Broken Era and adopted by other clans, that states that if a leader is significantly breaking the code, and the deputy is not willing to argue against it, the Medicine Den cats may be looked to as leaders until the current one is overthrown, replaced, or killed.

Lavenderclan, Year 7, p. 2 When Greenleaf is finally arrived, and the clan should be thriving, they suffer a great loss. As Elmstar is out with their appretice Copperpaw, they suddenly find themselves being chased by a dog. Not wanting his apprentice to be hurt, Elmstar urges Copperpaw to run back to camp for help, while he holds the dog off. This noble act keeps the apprentice alive, but ultimately causes the leader to loose all of his. By the time help arrives, it's too late. Ivytail and Cheetahlilac end up chasing the dog off, with only Ivytail earning a scratch. They take his father's body back to camp. As the clan mourns, Embertail makes her way to the Star Pool, to gain her new lives. When she stares into the pool, and her vision darkens, it's not the bright starlight and shining pelts she had expected to see. Instead there is a smell of rot, and a slight dark fog all around. She is approached by a tom she doesn't know, glowing faintly in reds, who offers her one life. She takes this, and his praise, and awakens as the clan leader. She vows to herself she will keep the clan alive, by whatever means necessary. She cannot allow them to be weak, and leadership needs to stay within her strong paws to do so. She returns to camp to mixed feelings. She is very aware that many would think her brother is the better choice for leader, and she knows they would expect her to choose him for Deputy. Instead, she names Russetleaf. He is well liked in the clan, and though he's aware he wouldn't be the clan's first choice, being so new to the clan, he's determined to do his best in the position. As for Copperpaw, she gives him to Lightclaw to finish training. She knows her sister wasn't even thought grieving her lost kit, and now with their father's death she feels lost and depressed. She hopes helping train another kit she is close to will help bring her out of it. At the same time, Copperpaw feels responsible for the death of Elmstar, and vows to become strong so that no one need ever protect him again. The clan is on unsteady ground, heading into cooler seasons...

here's flameclan's current leader, deadstar [previously deadsky] !! deadsky was one of the starter cats and his deputy cinderfang [started as cinderpaw] is as well. deadstar has had four children; weedpaw, downpaw, larchpaw, and brookpaw, but brookpaw died in an accident after her apprentice ceremony.

deadstar came into power after the previous leader, elmstar, was killed by a dog. flameclan's leadership has gone: marigoldstar. -> elmstar -> deadstar!

crowpelt was elderly warrior of Thunderclan before passing away

Personally:quiet cat who try his best not to start a fight

His parents are hootstep(enby) and ravenheart(enby)

His grandparents (hootstep parents) are starlingspirit(tom) and stripedripple(trans tom)

His other grandparents (ravenheart parents) are blackfeather(tom) and darkmist(she-cat)

His uncles (ravenheart brothers) are mistshade and hollowstar(Thunderclan current leader)

His great grandparents (hootstep grandparents) are ferretpool(trans she-cat) and midnight (former kittypet:trans tom)

His other great grandparents ( ravenheart grandparents) are featherstrike(demigirl) and Olivefoot(tom)

Now backstory:

Crowpelt was born as crowkit to hootstep and ravenheart

Crowkit never know his grandparents but only his parents and uncles

crowkit look up to hollowstar and hope to be great as him one day

Crowkit finally became a appreciate and is renamed crowpaw

crowpaw mentor is a enby tom named blazeheart(serect mate of swiftstep)

blazeheart wasn't best mentor but wasn't worst either

2 moons later,there is a battle between Thunderclan and riverclan

his uncle accidentally killed elmstar(riverclan leader),new riverclan leader(named swallowstar) swore revenge on Thunderclan

crowpelt feel nervous about possible war happening

crowpelt is starting to have crush on windclan female warrior named wishfang

At 16 moons,crowpelt started a secret relationship with wishfang

Mistshade died of greencough and crowpelt mourn his uncle

2 moons later,wishfang is expecting crowpelt kits

crowpelt is exitced but worried

another battle happened and his unlce(hollowstar) is killed by the riverclan leader

Crowpelt mourn his unlce/leader as Redstorm become new leader of Thunderclan and is renamed redstar

A moon later,wishfang give birth to three she-cats named snowkit,nightkit and shadekit

also a riverclan warrior named swiftstep died of sickness and blazeheart seem sad for some reason

At 21 moons,blazeheart confess that he was mates with swiftstep of riverclan before swiftstep passed away

crowpelt promises to keep blazeheart secret

at 23 moons,he meet his kits in secret

kits are happy to meet their father

but that happiness won't last long because a moon later,snowkit died of greencough and it was announced at gathering

he is sad but doesn't act sad

A moon after snowkit's death,nightkit and shadekit become appreciates

they are renamed nightpaw and shadepaw

crowpelt is very happy for them

3 moons later,blazeheart passed away from whitecough

crowpelt is heartbroken of his mentor death

He became friends with melodyheart(granddaughter of crowbreeze)

They relate to losing cats that they care about(melodyheart lose her father mousespots in rat attack before becoming a warrior)

At 39 moons,his daughters become warriors and are renamed nightfang and shadeheart

He is really proud of his daughters

4 moons later,he save kits of melodyheart(slatepaw and songpaw) from a badger which resulted in his death

everyone mourn him but he come back as like before

Harbored in the Ways You Won't Forget

The promise of tomorrow is whispered on the wing of the eve's last raven, but Honeypaw doesn't quite know it yet. Her gaze is shifting, ever suspicious of the shadows that peer closely into her soul, never mind the treetops or the eyes lurking there. The shadows make her warm, but uneasy, as she supposed they make any young apprentice — one dawn away from being given her name.

Her mentor, his body stiff, gives nothing away but the flick of his ears. They are mismatched — one black, one white — and she remembers when the elders told her stories of their opposition as if one pair of opposites could open a gate to the old gods. At the time, she had listened in earnest: her eyes fastened to the sovereign's maw as another elder wove flowers into her fur. It had been the eve before she took her first name — her suffix earned before a jury of many - and she had listened and listened to their pretty lies until her ears nearly bled. She could barely pick up her head the next morning; Honeypaw's mother had lifted her only daughter's head with the plume of her tail and muttered a terse reminder to smile.

'Smile, or the Gods will know we harbor sin in our hearts, Honeypaw.'

Often enough, the femme had begun reminding herself with a similar harshness, even if in the moment she had regaled her mother with an icy look of fury.

She lifts her head to the trees where the raven gives itself away, a soft caw emitting from its sharpened beak, but she does not avert her eyes or bow her head. Her mentor says nothing, but he watches her now with slitted eyes. He knows her thoughts, and yet she thinks them anyway:

Let them know I harbor sin in my heart, for as much justice as they claim is in theirs.

When Elmstar speaks, his voice carries like a chill that crawls down her spine in the dead of night, when she swears the shadows thicken. "Honeypaw," he warns, looking to her instead of the damned raven, who begins cawing furiously at the pair. "Temper yourself. I cannot shield the Gods from your fury."

"Then don't," a new voice replies, easing the spite Honeypaw cradles close to her. She almost addresses them, even, but can't bother to spare the newcomer enough respect for it. Jackdawfur doesn't scold her for it, after all, so the energy is better not wasted. "There is always a place for anger at Falcon's Nest. You know this, Elmstar. They do not see us punished for such trivial things."

"Thank Hawk," Honeypaw mutters, feeling the intensity of Jackdawfur's stare weigh her down. Still, he only smiles, amusement flickering in the depths of his eyes.

Elmstar wastes no more time beside his apprentice, and Honeypaw almost scoffs at his quiet 'do well'. As soon as he slips from view, taking the portal between his ears with him, her claws slip free from their sheaths and a growl rumbles low in her chest. "If to commune with the Gods means being that insufferable, I'd prefer the life of a secular mole. He's just glad to be rid of me," Honeypaw spits. The raven caws.

Jackdawfur sighs, for if Elmstar is glad to be rid of her, then he would be no reader of the divine. "I understand you two have your differences." He almost stops there, but the narrowing of the apprentice's eyes urges him onwards. "There is little Elmstar cannot teach you, Honeypaw. Perhaps trust in him that he may afford you a little kindness, when it counts, for being so attentive in your studies."

She hardly cares for how he flatters her, and a snarl draws her teeth into view. "Attentive! I'd like to find your head beneath the water, gurgling all the prayers you can recall until you begin to speak new ones into history!" Her tail lashes behind her, and her claws dig into the earth. "I wouldn't say a kind word in Falcon's direction, if I could go back for a second!"

Jackdawfur sighs a prayer under breath, and the raven above falls silent. "I rather liked that bird," he says, his voice careening towards something sad, as though holding a funeral for a perfectly intact creature. Honeypaw observes the bird. The raven hops on the branches, swinging his gaze downwards. She shakes off the imminent feeling of despair. The Gods have tricked her using less. The tom continues, "And you’d do best to understand limits when you meet them. Falcon's patience is not endless. Neither is mine." Honeypaw's eyes meet the healer's: I thought there is always a place for anger at Falcon's Nest?

The two felines stare at each other, an unspoken challenge woven into the air around them. Honeypaw reaches her tolerance for his presence, and when she moves to leave their standoff, he merely steps aside. The ground feels cooler to the touch.

Honeypaw doesn't look back, even as the air shifts, and the raven hits the ground.
