Taliban says women banned from universities in Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s Taliban-run higher education ministry has said that female students would not be allowed access to the country’s universities until further notice.

A letter, confirmed by a spokesperson for the higher education ministry on Tuesday, instructed Afghan public and private universities to suspend access to female students immediately, in accordance with a Cabinet decision.

CG News: रायपुर: मातृ शोक में डूबे शिक्षा मंत्री बृजमोहन अग्रवाल एक दिन बाद ही फिर काम में लौट आए। उन्होंने आज छत्तीसगढ़ पाठ्य पुस्तक निगम कार्यकारिणी सभा की 88 वीं बैठक ली। बैठक में उन्होंने मंडल के कामकाज की समीक्षा की और आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देश दिए। यह बैठक मंत्री अग्रवाल की माता जी के निधन के बाद उनकी पहली बैठक थी। बैठक में मंत्री अग्रवाल ने कहा कि उनकी माता जी का निधन उनके लिए एक बहुत बड़ा व्यक्तिगत नुकसान है। उनकी माता जी उनके जीवन का एक महत्वपूर्ण स्तंभ थीं और उनके निधन से उन्हें गहरा दुःख हुआ है। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी मां हमेशा उन्हें दूसरों की सेवा करने के लिए प्रेरित करती थीं, इसलिए वे अपनी मां की इच्छाओं को पूरा करने के लिए अपना काम जारी रखेंगे।

CG News: बैठक में मंत्री अग्रवाल ने पाठ्य पुस्तक निगम के कामकाज की समीक्षा करते हुए कहा कि पाठ्य पुस्तक निगम को छात्रों को बेहतर शिक्षा प्रदान करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास करना चाहिए। उन्होंने मंडल के अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया कि वे छात्रों के लिए गुणवत्तापूर्ण पाठ्य पुस्तकें उपलब्ध कराने के लिए काम करें। मंत्री अग्रवाल ने कहा कि विद्यार्थियों का सामान्य ज्ञान बढ़ाने और उन्हें देश की महान विभूतियों की जानकारी प्रदान करने के लिए किताबों के शुरुवात और अंत में भारत रत्न और पदमश्री पुरुस्कार से सम्मानित महान हस्तियों का जीवन परिचय प्रकाशित किया जाएगा। साथ ही विद्यार्थियों को राज्य के राज्यपाल, मुख्यमंत्री, शिक्षा मंत्री समेत मंत्रीमंडल के सदस्यों की फोटो के साथ परिचय प्रकाशित किया जाएगा। पुस्तक मुद्रण में प्रतिवर्ष 5 प्रतिशत वृद्धि की जाती है जिसे वर्तमान सत्र में नहीं करने का निर्देश दिया गया है। उन्होंने राज्य के सभी 33 जिलों में पाठ्य पुस्तक निगम का डिपो स्थापित करने के निर्देश दिए जिससे सभी विद्यालयों तक समाय पर पुस्तक पहुंचाया जा सकें।
