#aftg#the short answer for this is that i've been listening to classical music since 6am and i think i've fundamentally gone insane#the long answer is that i know nora was like the ravens only ever did exy#but like that is not a sustainable way to raise children you can't teach discipline with a contact sport#i'm not saying he liked it i'm maybe not even saying he was good at it#but yeah when kevin was like 12 some bitchass old woman who has never felt gods love in her heart made him sit still with his back straight#for hours on end and now he both hates tchaikovsky (correct of him) and also has really good attention to detail (also correct of him)#because learning music is very beneficial for children to like. learn how to make connections or something i dont remember the reasoning#but i swear this is a real thing#there's no way i was forced to play clarinet from the ages of 9 to 15 for the fucking bit. it was for my education or something#anyway i'm having a really normal morning#learned how to make brown sugar shaken espresso and i am abusing that new power to the extent of my ability#edit i did not mean to post this on main but it took too long to write this out i'm not rewriting it. deal with my insanity cowards

finished the scarlet dlc epilogue :)
it was. without exaggeration. Horrible :)
#literally within the first 5 minutes i was like#''oh god this is about to be incredibly fucking stupid isn't it'' and then it WAS#im.#no words#mostly i have died of second hand embarrassment#the only good thing was the battle music was funky and fresh#and the new pokemon has a really cool ability that i'm curious to see how it works in the competitive scene#apart from that. the epilogue didn't happen#still intrigued by the idea of making kitakami a prologue to the scarlet/violet storyline#but the ideas i keep coming up with change a LOT of the tone of the overall story so i'm still deciding#i'll gather my final thoughts later for now: i need to. step away#kellyn plays#edit:#AND YOU KNOW#i'm REALLY trying to remind myself that at the end of the day this game is marketed towards kids#but even with that in mind i think it was so fucking BAD#i just wanted to have a fun and cute adventure with my friends in kitakami not...#whatever the fuck that was

#I just......wanted to work on some new video editing techniques..........#Spoiler: It went........so fucking bad lol#Like restart my computer because it basically stopped functioning bad#That seems like a non sequitor but believe me getting from A to Z was an awful ordeal#I've been curious for a while if I could sync up my footage to the audio - y'know cut the video up in time with the music! Classic#Normally I'd fall back on WMM but it has this annoying desync glitch(?) where it renders everything correctly but previews it out of time#So trying to line up the visuals to the audio - well I have to restart and listen through everything so far for it to align properly :/#Lightworks is being a bitch as well - I guess it just stopped?? having a feature that it had a couple years ago that controls clip length#So I get random-length clips! That I can't stretch or extend! Y'know - The Thing I need to do!#I also tried Openshot and by about the point the advice had me changing my security settings I noped out#Literally would crash if I tried to import one (1) .png >:P#And I'm not about to give my info to Yet Another freeware like DaVinci Resolve since it went So Well with Lightworks#Didn't stop me from downloading and installing the wrong version for like an hour which Greatly lagged out my computer#And then as said it was the wrong version even if I did have access to it so I wouldn't be able to use it anyway!#How come we have such good opensource video capture and streaming software like OBS#And like LibreOffice for word processing and Audacity for audio and just - so many good opensource programs!#But video editing is a step too far#Ugh#Today's been a wash >:/#At least my uptime is all shiny sparkly new for streaming maybe tomorrow lol#I dunno it depends on how sleep goes - y'know how it is after being frustrated for so long#I really wanted to! I was once again too ambitious with my goals for break
#I forget that the break is supposed to be a time where I relax#it’s okay though I got started on a lot of projects#which is maybe not a good thing to divert my attention to too many things#but I like having a start on multiple things that I can pick up later#thought up a new idea for the mini comic anthology im making with my brothers#spent a good amount of time on the character creation… teehee#I HAVE been avoiding my actual responsibilities (aka homework) (music video for my friend. OOPSIE)#sorry I love my friend dearly but his music video idea is a little bit lame. I’m trying to make it slay without completely overhauling his#vision…. ahaaaa#my brother was sposed to help me but he like doesn’t have editing software so like idk how that’s supposed to happen#it’s ok…… Breathes Deeply#I can make a corny video once in my life and it will not reflect my entire artistic practice for the rest of my life#OH BUT MY BROTHWR AND I FINISHED OUR SONG#so at least I completed that#doesn’t sound like a major accomplishment but we’ve been trying to make a singular song together for like years LMAO#that song in particular started last august… DAMN#anyway. lol#I was SUPPOSED to finish my entire solo album and a mini comic AND make my website AND become a world famous paint mixer on ig over break…#but alas.

I'm not one to be petty about music. I like cosmo@bousou-p's earlier works. I just think their modern works simply are worse because they're not meant to be songs for listening, but the Next Big Hardest Rhythm Game Track. literally lamest way of selling out

Why hello! This is fun, please everyone send me more music things. I love this <3 I tried not to be too harsh, but please know that all of this is said in good fun and I love getting to know people through their music.
That being said, I'm going to put a cut because I'm not as fancy as my friends and couldn't figure out the text in picture thing. So this has become rather long. (Comments were made during the first listen. They may change with time)
Ghostbusters: 4/10
A classic
I like the 80's sound a lot so you really can't go wrong with that in my books.
That being said; this song gets very repetitive very quickly (which is why the rating is so low)
I Love You Like An Alcoholic: 6/10
The start is cute and cozy, but I'm not sure if I like it.
Is this singing or just talking over music? We may never know.
It kind of feels like a musical song? I'm getting whiplash trying to figure out the genre.
I like the woman's voice!
Catchy in a funky way
Tom's Diner: 6.5/10
Really need to be in a certain mood to listen to this one, but it's in several of my playlists.
The voices are really nice. I like the raspy sound
The 'dududu' part is too long and makes me skip it a lot of the time.
Sunflower: 3/10
Oh no. I can appreciate some sound effects, but this is giving me shivers in a bad way. Don't like the start of this at all.
The chorus is a bit better. I think if the beginning was without the effects I'd like it a lot more
I may have to relisten to this before I like it?
Choking On Flowers: 2/10 (8/10 for the insomnia playlist tho)

This is a classic and I will never not miss a chance to sing this during karaoke.
It's in my 'Old but Gold' playlist, but I often find myself skipping it.

Another classic. Queen & Bowie collaborating gave us some really good songs and I'm so glad for that.
It sounds so fun, but the lyrics are actually pretty sad.
Chamber of Reflection: 5.5/10
It sounds like something a friend of mine would listen to while smoking a joint.
It's not bad, but I wouldn't listen to this on my own.
The ending is so slooowww

This tickles my brain, but not in a nice way.
This may be a 'wetleg' situation. Which means I hate it now, but will love it in a couple of weeks. So it gets an extra point for that.
