95% of NFTs are worthless, and most of the most expensive ones are priced between $5-100 where they were once drawing millions US$ apiece
Not a moment too soon, and fully deserved 😎
In conclusion-

I gotta say, so much queer intra-community horseshit dropped off my shoulders when I decided to adopt a firm policy that everyone is the expert in their own identity, the single most knowledgeable person about what it's like to live life in their own skin, and that if someone describes their experience in ways I find contradictory or paradoxical I should do them the courtesy of presuming that they are striving to express something very specific and nuanced, rather than leaping to the conclusion that they're just dumb and using words wrong.
Sure, there are some combinations of identity terms that I look at and go "hmm, I don't get how that works." I'm still a human being. But there's a big difference between not getting how something works versus insisting that it doesn't.

I really wish all the people who blithely go out there like "People who are [X] don't experience [Y]" would occasionally stop and ask themselves, wait, what makes me think that? How many [X] people have I asked about their experiences? Has this actually been studied, and what do those studies show? Am I defining [Y] in such a way as to categorically exclude [X] regardless of how people who are [X] actually experience their lives?

And here's the next phase of the spambots, after they move pass the mass friending into the posting. That's quite the collection of tags there (and yes, I'm extremely grossed out seeing #students and #kids included there. I'm reasonably sure the tags are randomly generated, but UGH!)
Just remember kids, keep reporting.

I hate that so much leftist discourse winds up sounding like variations on a theme of:
"We must identify the Ontological Victim and Ontological Aggressor. The Victim and the Aggressor are polar opposites, and you must support one or the other. The Victim has little if any agency and by definition any action they do take is justified and morally correct, no matter what it is. The Aggressor possesses full agency and resides in a privileged position, and any violent action taken against anyone identified as an Aggressor is by definition morally acceptable."
This applies across an enormous range of topics, not just whatever cause du jour you are about to accuse me of pro-Aggressor stances on. It's also painfully reductive; it demands the denial and erasure of the vast majority of wrongs done in the world, simply because the individuals or groups those wrongs were committed against are themselves something less than utterly blameless, purely innocent victims.

Man, I just do not vibe with that post that was like "if you're butch, you're obligated to throw yourself into dangerous situations to protect feminine queer folks."
Like, one, wtf? Butches are still human beings, not fantasy knights. Being butch doesn't mean signing up to put your life on the line! A crew cut isn't enlistment in the Armed Forces Of The Queer Agenda, thx.
And second, isn't that just the good old "men go to war, protecting the women" patriarchal bullshit binary transposed onto the queer community? Taking the folks who are busting through those arbitrary designations of gender roles and acting like it's fresh and progressive now that you've swapped out men for butches and women for femmes? It's still the same turd, just with a little new polish.
Femininity doesn't require vulnerability. Masculinity doesn't require sacrifice. Doesn't matter what language you dress them up in.

Gotta say, I was pretty well prepared for most of the effects of going on T. I did my research. I already had elevated testosterone so I had a lot of foretastes of what doing it for real was gonna look like.
But I was not in any way prepared for the entirely new spectrum of laryngitic chipmunk noises that second puberty + genuine wheezing hilarity can get from me. Something sets me off laughing and the noises that I now make will probably set me off all over again. It's delightful. It's so much fun.

Theory is great and all, but theorizing in a vacuum can lead you to some really weird places. You gotta remember to keep checking in with reality. And if you're theorizing about the experiences of people who aren't you, checking in with your own lived experience isn't good enough.

A downside of using my queue so extensively is that by the time a post makes it out of my queue, I forget that I've queued it and my brain goes "oooh, shiny post I should add to my queue!"

WOW I'M GLAD TO KNOW THAT YOUR SAMPLE SIZE OF ONE (1) ALLISTIC TRANS GUY MEANS YOU CAN CONFIDENTLY STATE THAT BEING PERMANENTLY RELEGATED TO "STUPID LITTLE GIRL WHO CAN'T BE TRUSTED TO MANAGE HER LIFE" IS AN AUTISTIC-ONLY EXPERIENCE!!!! DEFINITELY NO ONE WITHOUT AN AUTISM DIAGNOSIS WILL EVER GET TREATED THAT WAY!!! THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT SLAM-DUNKING STRAIGHT INTO THE "PRIVILEGED TRANS MEN" NARRATIVE AT ALL?????

Browsing AO3 this morning, and I saw what I think is the most cursed statement in any fanfic summary I've ever read.
"Sorry I didn't use paragraph breaks, I was too lazy."
Cool cool cool thanks for that big preventative DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK warning.

One of the things I'm really enjoying about Dracula Daily is that it's forcing me to slow down. I'm a fast reader and tend to tear through books, which is absolutely fine most of the time. But as an experience, going day by day is really letting the sense of dread and unease in Mina's experience of Lucy's decline blossom. I'm really getting to enjoy how it's both comparatively swift but also has this painful anticipation. What's going to happen tonight? Mina doesn't know; she has to wait and see. It's delicious.

Okay after browsing the tag I am coming to the reluctant conclusion that after I finish my Wheel of Time reread I need to go watch the show.
I know it's different and what I'd previously heard about it mostly focused on the bad differences (ie - raising the possibility that the Dragon could be reborn as a woman would majorly change a whole mcfucking lot about what the Dragon means in the worldbuilding) but I'm also seeing interesting things about it and I think I do want to see for myself.

Okay okay okay, look, I know we all hate paywalls, but at some point we have got to concede that we are not entitled to people's labor for free, and there needs to be some kind of balance present.
I just saw a post complaining that an online dictionary available for free online did not contain the specific word they were looking for. You know that there is a ton of work that goes into those dictionaries, right? Like, they don't materialize out of thin air. Language changes and evolves and there is a ton of work that goes into continual research to discover new ways that words are being used and in what contexts/how widely. And those people who do this as their job deserve to get compensated for their labor. So do journalists. So does everyone, frankly.
"But but they don't get paid dependent on if I Specifically buy a dictionary, it's their employers job to pay them...."
And where is that employer getting money from? Yes, a sale that doesn't happen is not money that has been taken from the employer, but there is in fact a direct relationship between sales numbers and the money an employer can pay to their employees.
It is cool that some people will choose to make their labor available to others without compensation, but the wide world of the internet is in no way entitled to demand it of everyone. Paying for shit sucks, but we don't solve capitalism by demanding that the things we want be free at the user end while the people doing the work still need to pay for their food, housing, clothing, etc.

There is something so wonderful about going to an event and discovering, completely unexpectedly, that there are so many other trans people there with you. It's like, hello, this isn't The Trans Meetup there is no sign saying Trans People Welcome on the door, but just by the nature of the event and the love it gives, we know we are welcome and safe, and here we are, all together.
I've never been surrounded by so many tall beautiful trans women rocking the everliving hell out of their immaculate concert getups and small energetic trans men in band t-shirts and leather, and I've never felt so at home ❤️

So I noticed that the boop button (the booptton) appeared when viewing my own blog, so I figured, hey, what the heck; I've gotten my boops given over 1k, but haven't gotten my boops received over that limit yet, let's goose the numbers a bit.

Tragically, I have been called out for my crimes
