Hi all! Welcome to clone show down. Two is better than one! Do you have a character that's a copy of another character? Submit them here!

Guidelines:

Real clones (Dolly the sheep, self-cloning organisms, etc) will be allowed!

Identical twins are not allowed, check out one of the twins tournaments instead!

All fictional clones are allowed: Organic 🦠Robots 🤖, Aliens 👽, or anything else!

This includes shadow-selfs, alternate universe selves, etc.

Large groups of clones are allowed but will be counted as 1 submission unless they are specifically given individual names/personalities (ex. the clones from Attack of the Clones)

If the character being a clone is a spoiler I will tag it approximately

Have fun!

The number of the tournament will depend on feedback and the amount of submissions but currently aiming for a 64 character poll, capped at 128 if needed.

Submissions will tentatively end by November 3rd, although it may be shorter or extended depending on submissions. If it is shortened I will give 48 hours notice.

May the best clone win!

Edit: The characters will partially be determined by number of submissions so encourage people to submit your favs!

In keeping with the common refrain of 'these ships are too new to be canon' I present the above! 10 ships all from before 2000, I'm allowing ships from 1998-1999 even though they don't pass the 25 year threshold just yet. Xena/Gabrielle is also not included because I only have 10 spots and they just won an entire bracket.

The poll will be up for a week, but the Intermission bracket will probably go up before it finishes, depending on how quickly prep for the next full bracket goes.

One last blog management post before I do something else for a while: While my standards are fairly loose (basically: "have you listed adhd specific traits the character exhibits"), I have had a very few submissions I've had to mark "can't post" in my spreadsheet because either no evidence was provided beyond stuff like "look at him" or I felt the evidence provided was evidence of neurodivergency in general but not ADHD specifically. I won't be posting like, a list of these, because I don't want the submitters to feel bad, but if you feel like you want to confirm that your evidence was sufficient you can feel free to send me an ask or DM. I'll publish asks, but if you send me a DM that will stay private.

You can also ask me if a character has been submitted/approved even if you didn't submit them yourself, but I don't know if I need to say that lol. Please check the poll list in the pinned to see if they've already been posted first, though!

Sorting through all of the submissions is going to be hell (because almost no one writes names the same or in the same order).

Anyway, who's going to be the 250th submission?

#I don't like that it's at 249 now 😂#there are so many ships with 3 or more submissions already #like I haven't counted them yet but I'm pretty sure we could get at 32 already #if I count the ships with 2 submissions too I might get at 64 #I don't think there are enough poly duplicate (or more) submissions to make a 16 ship poly bracket yet though #but some have gotten 3 or more submissions #well... at least one that I know for sure #at least 5 that I know for sure have gotten 2 submissions #probably more but it's hard to keep count #not a poll #op shipping war #also I'm pretty sure there's 2 ships with over 10 submissions... maybe 3 or at least the 3rd one is getting close #I'm expecting the finale to be between those 2 ships #but you never know when I get proven wrong (again)
