AN EXCELLENT QUESTION AS WELL HERE :3 i would say when i make new verses for patrick, i do try keep the essential elements ( ie. being an orphan, felicity and her death, and the motif of fire ) within every verse i make for him as?? these elements of his past really contribute the person he is in the present moment and so without these elements, i just don't?? don't know how different he could be without it still being him it would ring true to him :/ or at least I would feel like i'm writing someone else and not patrick. that being said, i do think part of the reason i do this so far is because at least with verse one and two, well verse two is a derivative of verse one so while patrick and myungdae are vastly different individuals, their base ( ie. their history ) is ultimately the same?? they both more or less have the same core values, which is why i can still write them both and consider them the same 'person' even if their personalities & demeanors are vastly different. in the case of verse three, determining his backstory wasn't so much of creating so much as figuring what his backstory would look like in the thg universe... i guess this is all to say that as long as the base is familiar to me, i am more than willing to write different takes of him- tldr; i think it might be the first option but i might change aspects of those key elements if necessary
THAT BEING SAID, however, i did??? have a sorta supernatural au for him that recently just got spontaneous development bc i was rewatching fr*uits basket but dubbed this time....but the thing is that some of the basic characteristics of his initial character would have to be different here- that and the fact that patrick ( myungdae here ) would be confined to a very isolated location and would be unwillingly to come out if ever for a lot of his arc so i'm not quite sure how well it would do as its own verse....it's kinda based on the sohma curse and the cat's room ( and bc you're probably reading this too, alex dont look these up on wiki if you plan on watching fru*its basket bc this is major spoilers!! )- i can go more in detail about this though if you would like though!!

I sent and ask a few days ago I’m not sure if you received it! It was about Bucky needing time away from the avengers so he goes off to this little cabin he has in the woods and finds a wounded animal (werewolf maybe?) he takes it back to the cabin to nurse it back to health and the next morning he wakes up to find a naked woman where he left the animal but it turns out it’s reader. She was being hunted for sport and forced to stay in her wolf form!
It’s ok if you don’t want to write about this but idk if dumblr deleted the original!!! 💚💚💚
Bucky had almost forgotten what it felt like to breathe when he had set his hands upon the injured wolf outside of his door. The fur was stained with blood, coating the scruff of the neck and haunches, a few deep cuts making him worry about potential death of the beautiful animal that had made its way to his door step.
Bucky had reacted swiftly, picking the poor injured wolf from the steps of his refuge to carry it inside. He had approached the fire and set the shivering animal along the floor near the fireplace before he had also grabbed a blanket and draped it across the animals body.
“You’re in rough shape,” Bucky observed, smoothing his hand down the wolf’s head, “I’m gonna try and help you.”
Since he had moved out here from the city, Bucky’s days had been filled with the usual tasks of clearing and maintaining the property his cabin was on. He had come out here to get a break from the Avengers and the rush of the big city. He wanted peace and quiet, the allure of the music of nature settling him into solitude was too hard to resist.
Bucky had fled the city for three weeks, taking to his cabin.
“What did you do?” He questioned the wolf, cleaning and caring for the wounds. “You hurt yourself real bad.”
He spent hours cleaning and patching up the animal, scrounging for something for the wolf to eat that could go down easily and leaving water.
“If you survive the night, I’ll give you something more substantial.” Bucky had left the wolf by the fire with a blanket for warmth, hoping for the best.
When he had woken the next morning and descended the stairs, the wolf was gone and in its place was a woman bearing the same wounds, the same marks.
She was bared of clothes, completely naked to his eyes save for the blanket that was tucked under her head. He could see his bandages that he had given her wrapped in place, and the subtle tracings of the antiseptic ointment he had used drying on her flesh.
“You’re a werewolf,” Bucky had observed, draping another blanket over her body, “and I’m guessing the wounds weren’t inflicted by natural causes.”
He stayed and wait, sat himself on the couch. He had waited for the moment where you would open your eyes.
“…hunters…” your voice was strained, weak. “…they nearly killed me…”
Bucky had dropped down to crouch in front of you, hands balled tightly. “You’re safe here, they won’t touch you again.”
