Delightful | William James Moriarty x Reader
Chapter 10
Tumblr media
Question after question after question.
Yet you wouldn’t receive any answers.
Perhaps it was due to the fact that you could only have the courage to think about them and not even consider whispering them let alone saying them aloud for others to hear.
You definitely won’t find answers here that’s for certain. So far you hadn’t been successful but then again up till now u weren’t actively searching for the truth due to shock. You’re still in shock of course but it is evident that it’s beginning to numbing. There’s no one to confide in. Even if there was you weren’t sure of who or even where to find them.
Either way you knew it wasn’t a pub or a market.
There’s nothing here in the manor that will solve it. That was proven rather quicker when you first met William rather upbrutly. You’re just glad the situation hasn’t been brought up since. Come to think of it you were also glad you hadn’t seen Albert of late since you did in fact finish his bottle of wine that night. You didn’t even consider how expensive it was.
But you were desperate and where can desperate people find answers when they no longer have access to a phone ?
Books. “I know !” You practically jump up from the small bed.
“I’ll pay William a visit !”
From what you understood, William is a mathematician. Of course maths couldn’t help you get anywhere but a university must have books in other fields of subjects. Maybe just maybe you’d find something small to help guide you on your way. But as you managed to find yourself there you couldn’t help but look all around you to stare on in awe.
It was so different compared to your own personal experience in education.
Well obviously, it wasn’t like you ever attended the university of Durham but still.
People were walking around rather cheerfully in groups chatting loud as the rarely bright sun shined down on all. An atmosphere you’ve never really experienced before. The architecture also slightly threw you off. From what you remembered from your time buildings like this were extremely old and new buildings were plain and simple, practically dull compared to the old ones.
But how were you suppose to find the library if you couldn’t run into every single room of the building ? It would only take a matter of time before you’d be recognised as a trespasser. “Come on lads !” You hear from near you in the courtyard.
You were quick to run around a corner, making sure to not be noticed.
Hiding behind a wall, you peek around to only spot a young student walking towards two other students, looking rather eager.
“We have professor Moriarty’s class soon !”
Your eyes widen at their words. You were quick to follow them from a distance. You watched on as the students walked into you assumed a classroom.
But just as they walked in they were quick to leave again. You assume maybe they had time until class started so they simply left they’re belonging in the room so they could go continue freely about for however long. You took slow steps into the empty classroom, simply blown away at the sight. You weren’t sure what you were expecting but definitely not this.
The room was too enormous to process, you struggled to believe this was a genuine classroom.
Even when you timidly walked upon the high steps onto the balcony, you couldn’t believe the quality of the room.
Your fingers run against the wooden bannister. Of course as you sat down there was now only one thing to do.
Sleep.
As some time passed your eyes begin to flutter and your senses heighten at the sound of chatter. You nearly gasped when you realised. The class was currently taking place. When you looked down you could only stare on at the sight of William teaching seemingly a dozen students.
Maybe it was near the end of the class ? You hoped it was. You did contemplate just simply walking out but you were quick to realise the room was filled with just young men and you would stick out like a sore thumb if you left now.
But you couldn’t help but wonder how did no one notice you at all ? You were sat at the very back off on the side where you’d actually stand out more so were no students bored of this class ?
You were and you’re not even a student.
There was no way that William was teaching that good that no student of his was bored ? Was he ?
Even when you squint your eyes to no avail, you still couldn’t make out what was on the board. He looked so…confident. In himself. He didn’t speak quietly and his voice wasn’t demanding yet it was clear and from what you could tell just by peering at the students even though some seemed tired they all listened and watched William like a hawk.
For a moment you could only lay your head in your arms in defeat as you realised that you were stuck here.
You didn’t really think about him having that effect on others. William had his back turned to the students as he wrote an equation on the board.
“And perhaps even then-
William for once mistakenly looked up to his right just at the exact moment you raised your head from your strained arms. It was as if time has frozen as you both locked eyes with one another. His eyes squinting up at you while your eyes widened like a deer caught in headlights.
Just like that William finished the class and as students began to pack up to leave you were rather quick to look away and avoid those unreal eyes staring you down.
William acknowledged all students before they left the room and you hoped that he would soon follow. He did not.
“So you really are a professor ?” You ask, gripping onto your long skirt hoping William didn’t notice the slight trip in your step as you carefully made your way down. He did. “Did you assume I was being dishonest about my occupation ?”
He asked, placing his hands behind his back as if he were still teaching like the professional that he is.
“I though you were just covering up for another job, I don’t know.” You simply shrug, briefly turning back to look around the huge room.
Of course, you missed the slight smirk evident on Williams face that was wiped away as soon as you faced him again. “I thought Louis had you doing chores this morning ?” Williams ask, gathering the dozen sheets of paper left on his desk. “He did ! He even wrote me a list but I left before I even started.” You smirk proudly. You weren’t even going to deny it.
Instead of walking by William’s side you opted for just simply following behind him like a lost puppy. Although you managed to get to the university with no problems, as the evening grew late and the sky began to darken you weren’t completely sure how to find your way back.
Minutes go by walking in silence with no conversation taking place between the two of you. You partly did want to indulge yourself in small talk but yet the words simply didn’t come out of your mouth. But even peeking a glance at William’s face he didn’t seem that keen on the idea either. Maybe he had a rough day ? Were his lessons really that short or was it cut short because of you ?
Yeah, silence was the better option.
But silence didn’t last long as you heard William greeting someone, you looked up to the sight of William speaking happily to Louis. You wonder if maybe they always met up on the way home.
You look around from behind William giving Louis a little wave all the while he simply returns a raised brow along with a scoff. There was a part of you that thought if the others had noticed you had left, in particular you were curious about Louis. But by a simple glance at the annoyance that shined through his glasses you guessed he somehow anticipated you once again leaving.
Although maybe he wasn’t anticipating your return ? It was evident now.
Maybe you shouldn’t sneak out anymore.

Rolling Stone Magazine Top 200 Singers - The Omissions List
Once in awhile, I’ll do a music themed blog post and boy do I have a post for you. Rolling Stone Magazine opens 2023 with a list that no one asked for. Their 200 Singers list is an all time low for the once flourishing magazine. When you include auto-tuned singers like Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Ray and dull as dishwater singers (again, my opinion) like Morrissey, Courtney Love, Michael Stipe, Bono, Bruce Springsteen and Eddie Vedder, you lose credibility in my book. Here are the singers of different backgrounds, genres, and vocalizations (in alphabetical order) that Rolling Stone failed to include on their inept list:

The Guards Came Through
Arthur Conan Doyle
Men of the Twenty-first
Up by the Chalk Pit Wood,
Weak with our wounds and our thirst,
Wanting our sleep and our food,
After a day and a night.
    God, shall we ever forget?
Beaten and broke in the fight,
But sticking it, sticking it yet,
Trying to hold the line,
    Fainting and spent and done;
Always the thud and the whine,
Always the yell of the Hun.
Northumberland, Lancaster, York,
    Durham and Somerset,
Fighting alone, worn to the bone,
But sticking it, sticking it yet.
Never a message of hope,
    Never a word of cheer!
Fronting Hill 70’s shell-swept slope,
    With the dull, dead plain in our rear;
Always the shriek of the shell,
Always the roar of the burst,
Always the tortures of Hell,
As waiting and wincing we cursed
Our luck, the guns, and the Boche.
When our Corporal shouted “Stand to!”
And I heard some one cry, “Clear the front for the Guards!”—
    And the Guards came through.
Our throats they were parched and hot,
But Lord, if you’d heard the cheer,
Irish and Welsh and Scot,
    Coldstream and Grenadier—
Two Brigades, if you please,
Dressing as straight as a hem.
We, we were down on our knees,
Praying for us and for them,
Praying with tear-wet cheek,
      Praying with outstretched hand.
Lord! I could speak for a week,
    But how could you understand?
How could your cheeks be wet?
    Such feelin’s don’t come to you;
But how can me or my mates forget
    When the Guards came through?
“Five yards left extend!”
It passed from rank to rank,
And line after line, with never a bend,
And a touch of the London swank.
A trifle of swank and dash,
    Cool as a home parade,
Twinkle, glitter and flash,
    Flinching never a shade,
With the shrapnel right in their face,
    Doing their Hyde Park stunt,
Swinging along at an easy pace,
Arms at the trail, eyes front.
Man! it was great to see!
Man! it was fine to do!
It’s a cot, and hospital ward for me,
But I’ll tell them in Blighty wherever I be,
    How the Guards came through.

Let’s Read Lair of the White Worm!
So, with Dracula Daily wrapping up, I thought it might be fun to take a look at another horror novel by Bram Stoker, specifically, Lair of the White Worm, originally published in 1911 (the year before Stoker’s death), with a posthumous abridged version published in 1925. I believe the novel is in the public domain, as the entire text of the 1925 version can be read on Wikipedia’s Wikisource here. The original 1911 text can be found in scanned form here, and links to individual chapters, along with some information about the text, can be found here. I’m trying to do some research on the book before diving into it, because honestly, I don’t know much about it. According to Wikipedia, it is considered ‘one of the worst books ever written’, but doesn’t go into detail as to why that is. HP Lovecraft, in his 1927 essay ‘Supernatural Horror in Literature’ (which can ALSO be found on Wikisource!) , refers to the novel in relation to other works of Stoker’s, saying that it “utterly ruins a magnificent idea by a development almost infantile”, though doesn’t go into more detail than that. And given Lovecraft is...well. Lovecraft, his opinion may not hold much weight to the average modern reader (though he does mention another Stoker novel, The Jewel of Seven Stars, which sounds interesting and, according to him, is less ‘crudely written’).
The book was covered by one of my favorite podcasts, ‘372 Pages We’ll Never Get Back’, the bad book podcast from Rifftrax’s Michael J Nelson and Conor Lastowka, as their ‘season 9′ book, episode 54-58 according to the podcast’s website. Now, I DID listen to those episodes (along with many others, seriously, it’s a great podcast, everyone should give it a listen), but honestly, I can’t really remember much about the book or what they said about it, which may not bode well to things here. But, this story has to have it’s reputation for a reason, and it doesn’t seem to me like it’s because it’s just...boring. Though it could be! There’s plenty of things called ‘the worst of’ that have just been really really dull. The story is based on the tale of the Lambton Worm, a legend from England. The original legend/story is about a man from County Durham and his battle with a giant wyrm or worm (aka a dragon without limbs or wings...so essentially a huge terrifying snake with a dragon head, which...sounds absolutely awful, do not like at all). Now, as with all folk tales and legends, there’s different versions of the tale floating around, and Wikipedia gives an overview of the story, as well as links to several different versions of it (I swear I’m not trying to just use Wikipedia for research it’s just a really great place to grab links to other things, my college professors would despair of me to see me now). A google search also brings back more information about the tale, different versions, the location of the hill where the battle between the hero and the worm happened, etc. There’s apparently quite a few tales in different parts of the UK about battles with giant worms, so, plenty of places for Stoker to get inspiration from. Again, doing some searching on the net doesn’t really give a lot about Stoker’s process for writing this particular book, probably because it’s not as famous or as well analyzed as Dracula is. There was apparently a movie made in the late 80s loosely based off the Stoker novel, and it starred Hugh Grant and Peter Capaldi. Which is WILD to think about. The director of the film was also apparently disappointed by the novel and, along the same train of thought as Lovecraft, thought that it had potential but fell short of the highs of Dracula. Stoker would have been 63 when this book was published, and who’s to say what his physical health was like during the writing process. I’m assuming that some of the modern issues people have about Dracula (the xenophobia and the racism) are likely still there, though if the story takes place entirely in England like the legend it’s based on, I’m not sure how much there would be...might be more classism coming into things? I honestly don’t know. I’ve tried to find out stuff about this book and it’s just...there’s not a lot out there? There’s a whole detailed plot summary on Wikipedia, but that’s not going to go into detail about the writing style, the characters and how they come alive on the page, etc...it’s good for spoilers, though, so, head’s up if you care about that (I personally don’t, I like having a little idea of what I’m getting into). That being said, I’m not sure if it’s spoilers for the 1911 version or the 1925 version, so there is still a bit of mystery.
So! Let’s read The Lair of the White Worm, Bram Stoker’s last novel and, apparently, one of the worst books ever! Is it really? How does it hold up or compare to the far more famous Dracula? Let us find out! (The 1911 version has 40 chapters, so while a chapter a day is fairly reasonable, I may try for two, possibly three. Work is very boring, I’d much rather read a book of questionable quality than just sit at my desk all day waiting for reference questions.)

August 5th 1388 saw the Battle of Otterburn.
Some sources say the battle happened on 19 August, well the English versions do but we Scots won this battle so we are going with today’s date!
Now the Scots here were led by James Douglas, 2nd Earl of Douglas, this was a descendent of the Good Sir James through an Uncle, The Black Douglas himself had died at the Battle of Teba, throwing the Bruce’s heart while charging towards the moors, his son William IV, Lord of Douglas died at a young age at the Battle of Halidon Hill in 1333 and the line passed to his Uncle “Hugh the Dull”,don’t you love these nicknames!  Anyway that’s the lineage that this James became Earl of Douglas, he had obviously learned a lot through his. family ties as you will hear in the story about the Battle.
Following the end of a truce with the English, Scottish forces began raiding across the border in the summer of 1388, Douglas led a Scottish force of around 6,000 men across the border into Northumbria, burning and pillaging as they progressed, the Scots advanced on Newcastle.
Douglas decided to lead a raid which was timed to take advantage of divisions on the English side between Lord Neville and Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland who had just taken over defence of the border.
The Scots divided their forces with the main force and their baggage train heading towards Carlisle while a raiding party including Earl Douglas ravaged the countryside around Durham and Newcastle. Henry Percy sent his two sons Henry “Hotspur” Percy and Ralph to engage while he stayed at Alnwick to cut off the marauders’ retreat.
Froissart’s Chronicles says that the first fighting included a meeting of the Earl Douglas and Henry Percy in hand to hand combat, in which Percy’s pennon was captured. Douglas announced that he would “carry [the pennon] to Scotland and hoist it on my tower, where it may be seen from afar”, to which Hotspur retorted “By God! You will never leave Northumberland alive with that.”
This was a big thing back then, the Pennon was a flag on a large pole and it bore the crest of the commander of the army on either side, it was carried by a rider who stayed close to the commander and it let their troops know his position, with it being captured, mayhem must have ensued and honour was lost.
Douglas then moved off destroying the castle at Ponteland and besieging Otterburn castle. Percy attacked Douglas’ encampment with a surprise attack in the late afternoon but first encountered the Earl’s serving men, giving the bulk of the forces time to muster and attack them on their flank.
During the battle on a moon-lit night Douglas was killed and the Percys were both captured, with the remaining English force retreating to Newcastle. Despite Percy’s force having an estimated three to one advantage over the Scots one set of records show 1040 English were captured and 1860 killed whereas 200 Scots were captured and 100 were killed. The Westminster Chronicle gives a more reliable estimate of Scottish casualties as being around 500 or so.
Douglas’ body was found on the field the following day. The Scots, albeit saddened by the loss of their leader, were heartened enough by the victory, to frighten off English reinforcements.  When the Bishop of Durham advanced from Newcastle with 10,000 men he was so impressed by the ordered appearance of the Scottish force, the din they set up with their horns, and their seemingly unassailable position, that he declined to attack.
So there you go another of the great Douglas’s who gave his life fighting for his country.
The first two photos are  depictions of the battle, the second  shows the Earl of Douglas's body being removed from the battlefield, pic three is a monument, now called The Percy Cross, that commemorates the battle.

Introduction to Finding Healthy Restaurants Near Me
Being someone who prioritizes health, one of my main concerns is discovering Healthy Restaurants near me, that offer nutritious options. While I enjoy dining out, it’s important to me that the food I consume benefits my body. If you share this mindset, you’re in for a treat! Within this article, I’ll provide you with an all-inclusive manual on locating health-conscious restaurants in your vicinity. Finding tasty and nourishing food doesn’t mean you have to endure a dull or restricted diet. Numerous restaurants provide delectable and wholesome dishes that can satiate your hunger without sacrificing flavor. The trick lies in being aware of the right places to explore and the criteria to consider when selecting your meals.
Benefits of Eating at Healthy Restaurants
Now that you know why it’s important to eat at healthy restaurants, let’s talk about how to find them. There are a few different ways to go about this, and I’ll cover them all below.

Tips for Choosing a Healthy Restaurant
When selecting a nutritious eatery, there are several factors to consider. Firstly, seek out establishments that prioritize fresh, unprocessed ingredients while avoiding packaged or pre-made foods. Secondly, be mindful of portion sizes as many restaurants tend to serve excessively large portions, which can have negative effects on your well-being. I'm only saying this because iron sharpens iron and my blade will dull out if more of us don't execute better. I have had the privilege of being contacted by so many potential clients for my services. As well as to receive referrals for event vendors for things outside of the scope of what my company offers. I learned that many clients have circled back to me or stopped once we initiated the booking for these reasons. Even today, I've watched thousands of businesses who could really use a few opportunities miss them because of number 2 & 3. EVERY SINGLE business transaction that has included a comma in the business transaction amount required communication through email. I have NEVER done a $1,000 or $10,000 or $100, 000+ transaction without the use of emails involved. When it's time sensitive, you may need to be HEARD from (literally). when does it start to feel like you’re from somewhere? like, when do you start telling people that you’re “from” a place? i tell people i’m from durham, north carolina; and that i’m also from dorado, puerto rico; but that i was born in newburgh, new york. i’m “from” all three of these places, but i’m definitely not “from” baltimore. is there a year quota i have to hit? maybe there’s an initiation ceremony or a hazing like a college fraternity. or do i have to wait for the next life and be reborn as a baby in a hospital down the road? i’m curious.
what i’m trying to say is that i’m a baltimorean imposter. i’ve been here for about a year, and i don’t know a single thing about the city other than that there are a lot of crab restaurants and edgar allan poe did something here (lived, died? if only i could remember… maybe i’d graduate to baltimorean). this is, if you can count to two, only two things.
i’m exaggerating for effect, but my ignorance does make me feel itchy. my empty head is decisively disrespectful to the city, which is why i want my sponge-like brain to go out soaking up experiences. baltimore and her people have been here for so long, yet all i know about them is crabs and one dead guy? i need to visit everything – historical neighborhoods, contemporary art galleries, poetry open mics, urban gardens, well-known landmarks, forgotten buildings, flea markets and on and on. the entire time, i’ll be taking pictures like a google maps van (both literally and figuratively).
it won’t be too hard. baltimore’s bus system is a little more forgiving than durham’s, even if it isn’t entirely free. i love the way bus drivers drive here, stepping on the accelerator if i take even a second too long to pull out my card for the fare. i’m not joking, either. it’s humbling to be sent stumbling into a seat. so many people from all walks of life get on and off a baltimore bus. while i get to ride it for a non-essential weekend outing, many others rely on it for their commute. on one hand, it’s amazing to be able to move through so many different worlds on the way to the local plant nursery, but on the other, it’s a little frustrating to uncover the history behind why a neighborhood has been neglected while the one just a block over is flourishing. i wish the government would invest more in public transportation.
i think that was my initial impression of baltimore. the disparity of wealth and why it exists is hard to swallow. that hasn’t changed in the year i’ve been here and i don’t think it will any time soon. i hope to write about it more in my future posts.
i have a hidden agenda, by the way. i want to cement my moments into memories. i notice, recently, that i've been doing a lot of nothing. it’s stressing me out. i wake up, i eat, i work, i sleep, and it all repeats. i barely ever leave my room for anything other than my mechanical class and work schedule. my doctors like to reassure me that it’s a simple byproduct of my disabilities, but you have to admit that it gets a little dull. can you relate to that sentiment? do you know that panic that swells in your chest when you forget to watch the clock and suddenly the sun has set?
by no means do i believe a human must be productive with every single minute of their day to be “truly” living. productivity is a sham; it doesn’t exist. instead, i want to practice awareness. it’s not what i’m doing or why i’m doing it… it’s being aware of what or why, like a meditative practice that emphasizes the importance of feeling every breath you take. awareness is the tool i’ll use to ascribe value to any moment i want. i’ll tell you if that works.
so, this blog will be a collection of moments i've been aware in baltimore. it’s an active protest against my so-far sedentary lifestyle!
i hope all of this made sense… if not, the short version is: i don’t know anything about baltimore, i want to know more about baltimore, i will know more about baltimore, and i’m bringing you with me (imagine yourself in one of those baby backpacks). oh, and i hope to graduate to baltimorean by the end of the semester!
gi out :3

Encyclopedia Brown thoughts: book 15½
Encyclopedia Brown Takes the Cake!
General:
Yes, that exclamation point is part of the title, and its official number is 15½.
I'm going to be treating the recipes, etc. associated with cases as part of the cases in question.
The Case of the Missing Garlic Bread / Kitchen Basics:
Another pretty dull case, so I don't have much to say here. The fact that there aren't any actual recipes given doesn't help. :P
The Case of the Fourth of July Artist / The Fourth of July Party:
Naturally, Chester "Walking Fat Joke" Jenkins would appear in the spinoff cookbook...
Three brass bands!? Even Lord Dimwit Flathead would probably call that a bit excessive.
You'd think that even Bugs Meany would have known that the Liberty Bell didn't have a crack when it was first forged.
The only thing on that menu that sounds good to me is oven-fried chicken. Well, the shortcake sounds good, but I'm not a fan of strawberries because of their texture, so I'd probably just have it with the whipped cream and maybe the blueberries, since I do like those.
The Case of the Oven Mitt / Hermes's Birthday Brunch:
Magnolia Peabody? I'm sorry, but was that name intended to be hilarious? Because it is.
The Tooth Collector's Chocolate Cake actually sounds pretty good, especially if it's decorated with marzipan teeth.
The Case of the Overstuffed Piñata / A Mexican Fiesta:
Nothing to say here, really, other than to comment on how aggressively Mexican the Gomezes are.
The Case of the Missing Watchgoose / An Italian Dinner:
Why are the Strongs' watchgeese named after holidays in the first place?
How many kids - or adults, for that matter - would know that geese are all dark meat? Well, I guess that most people would know that chicken breasts are white meat, and would find a dark "chicken" breast suspicious...
I can see myself being totally tactless here. "Candida, I'm afraid your goose is cooked." "What do you mean? You couldn't find him?" "Oh, I found him, all right. The bad news is, he's dead. The good news is, he was delicious."
What if, like me, you prefer white sauce on your spaghetti?
Would the Italian ice recipe here work with different flavors? Because my favorite Italian ice flavor is cherry.
What, no recipes for goose? >:D
The Case of the Secret Recipe / Dinner at the Twittys':
I seriously doubt that Beauford is the only person in the United States with a potato museum, but he is probably the only kid with one.
French fries aren't the only potato dish that ketchup goes well with. Off the top of my head, I can name home fries and hash browns.
The kids only think that Tubers a la Twitty are the best French fries they've ever tasted because they've never been to Franz's Food at 46 Main Street in Durham, New Hampshire or the Lilac City Grille at 103 North Main Street in Rochester, New Hampshire.
@brownencyclopedia: The lack of potato dishes in this menu is at least lampshaded.
I believe it was Aristotle who said, "Meat loaf is a good hamburger wasted."
The Case of the Chinese Restaurant / A Chinese Banquet:
I wonder if Sobol picked $108 as the amount stolen because that was the number of dishes at the Manchu–Han Imperial Feast? If so, that's actually pretty clever.
How come the Chinese restaurant is never given a name?
T'ang of Shang existed, but I'm not sure if he ever promoted his cook to prime minister.
Snacks and Lunches:
Personally, I prefer my pizza without sauce.
I actually kind of want to try Tubers a la Twitty, being a self-described connoisseur of good French fries.
Actual "French French toast" would be called pain perdu.
Aww, no recipe for peanut butter cookies? Those are my personal favorite.
Encyclopedia Brownies... Ha. Ha. Ha. -_- That being said, they do actually sound pretty good, but probably not as good as my dad’s, may he rest in peace.

Keir Starmer is “dull and too quiet” as Labour MPs plot to replace him after poll blow | Politics | News
The Labour leader’s future hangs in the balance as he awaits the verdict of Durham Police into his pre-planned event on April 30 2021, with his deputy Angela Rayner and around 20 Labour activists. Starmer has said he and Rayner will resign if found guilty and fined for breaking lockdown rules with the event where more than £200 of curry was consumed and washed down with beer. It comes after two…

Greetings! So here are some facts about me!
My name is Robin
My birthday is on July 4th
I am in a long distance relationship.
My favourite TV shows are Doctor Who, Sherlock, and The Umbrella Academy
My favourite movie is Maurice (1987)
I have read Maurice A LOT of times!
I got into the Maurice Fandom when I was looking at what other things Rupert Graves was in apart from Sherlock. I saw that he was in Maurice so I watched it and fell in love with the film's beauty so I bought the book too.
I love learning but school seems to pick rather dull subjects. (In history we're learning about diseases and I don't find it that interesting.)
I am Bisexual with no preference.
My partner is bigender so win win :)
My favourite school subjects are art, English/ English Literature and anything that isn't maths.
I joined Tumblr because none of my friends have watched Maurice and I found out that lots of people on here love it so hello :)
I aspire to get into Oxford University to study something I am interesting (I'm not 100% sure yet. I'm not even sure if I'll get in, I mean I have plenty of time until then though.)
Speaking of universities, I was selected to be taught by a PhD tutor for a week and it was brilliant. I wrote an essay based on the work of Aristotle, Shakespeare and Pico.
My family wants me to go into a career in art but I want to be an English teacher. I feel if I do art as a job, I'll lose interest in it because it will feel like a requirement rather than a fun hobby.
Here are some photos of my art for my art GCSE (a lot is based off of Maurice)

I discovered one thing when drawing these, actually two things.
1. I CANNOT draw Clive FUCKING Durham.
2. I am actually quite good at drawing with coloured pencils despite never using them before

Note
Seen bizarre stuff related to OL but today is the oddest. 1. SH photo very weird, how could he think that was atractive,or even healthy to post for his MPC? He and his body look unhealthy. 2 ppl claiming Susan Sarandon's tweet verifies SH and CB have RL sexual relationship. Ridiculous. It was an obvious comment on acting, as she knows well. Look at her films. The Bull Durham scene with Costner is tamer, but good example, and most of the shoot was cut.
Apparently we all don't look at things in the same way. Perhaps a good thing, what a dull place this world would be.
