ok ok. jack. motherfucking manifold. likeeee cjack drives me insane i hope u know that idk what crack he put into his silly little minecraft rp character but it drives me insane. pages lack their own aspect/concepts related to their aspect right. cjack died so many times but it just NEVER STICKS. he wicks it off like its nothing. he’s miserable yes but nothing will ever give him the relief of dying. ds!jack is going to suffer that same fate. “Those bound to the aspect of Doom are fate's chosen sufferers. At their worst, they are bitter, resentful, and fatalistic.” CAN YOU HEAR MEEEEE!!! also ummm. witch of breath hannah. channah has had her autonomy taken from her by the egg, by her wings burning and leaving her ground-bound, and breath is all about freedom. i want her to take it back yk. i want her to snatch her freedom from the universe and be able to DO THINGS. ds!hannah is going to be pushed and pulled in a thousand different directions until she snaps. the hand that feeds her is also the one that hits her and she’s going to bite it. i want her to go fucking feral

KNIGHT OF HOPE CPUFFY. HELLO. do u remember is dsmp when eret decided to make a faction against the egg and named it the knights of hope and puffy was one of them. puffy also used to be one of eret’s knights way back in the beginning as well LIKEEE. shes constantly trying to protect people she’s defensive she helps people she pours her entire being into the things she cares about. she’s so knight coded. there’s no other class for her i think. also the fact that it’s always eret who she’s the knight of. something something the unbreakable relationship between the space player and the knight who helped breed the genesis frog and the universe being built from their two hands etc etc. also remember her during the banquet after cfoolish was killed. i think if cpuffy had been allowed to shine during lore more like that she could have either fucked shit up or maybe fixed the entire server ngl. she’s THAT powerful i think. genuinely. she was so determined to make things better and if she’d been allowed to she could have gone down two paths: knocked some sense into everyone and rallied them all against a common enemy (cdream) and gotten rid of the biggest problem on the server, or snapped and set off the nukes herself in a wave of unbridled frustration. a knight of hope is a very powerful thing yk. and if cpuffy couldn’t reach her full potential in dsmp then BY GOD I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN IN DREAMSTUCK.

i feel like it would b a crime if i didn’t talk about. cWilbur. my little prospit dreamer destructive heart player meow meow <3 like u know how he is. he hates himself more than anything. he’s obsessed with himself. he knows he made something beautiful and amazing but also he thinks every single problem ever is his fault. he can’t stand himself. he regrets everything he’s ever done but if he did things differently maybe he wouldn’t be the same person he is now and that thought both elates him and terrifies him. dirk imploded with self hatred, and wilbur EXPLODES with it. he destroys other things with the contradicting force of his own identity. he dies and comes back RIGHT. but also wrong. very wrong. but it’s also the best he’s felt in decades. yk. he’s a walking juxtaposition and that’s so incredibly heart player of him.

QUESTION. now that you’re familiar with vash what would u classpect him. i said he’d be a page probably (yk long journey which ends in unfathomable power) and ros said maybe page of life but they also said maybe muse of blood which. is a classpect for him that drive me crazy bonkers. i was also v partial to prince/bard of doom. do u have Thoughts

Initial thought was also page!!!! page is a good class for him i think. page of life specifically works REALLY well, i think vash is a stronger life player than a blood player. (in a similar vein. perhaps knight of life. i think making vash and knives both life players but vash is a knight/page and knives is a prince. ough.)

ON THE OTHER HAND. I ALWAYS FORGET MUSE AND LORD ARE AN OPTION. HOLY SHIT. consider perhaps. muse of life vash, lord of doom (or rage? maybe rage.) knives.

I’ve had this sitting in my google docs for over a YEAR incomplete but I figured I’d share them with the masses

ok, just to engage in some classpect analysis, and to be super sappy and idealistic for a second.

of course people matter, and ofc many DSMP players do not directly give a fuck - but The Disks do matter.  namely they provide a sort of structure and story.

And quite frankly, on a meta level, Dream’s true power is he’s the admin, he can kick griefers or any one else, the hell off whenever he bloody well wants too.  but the disks provide leverage to the players, actual leverage, because frankly they intrigue him now.  and ofc, it’s not just the disks themselves, it’s the people too.  like wilbur and tommy (and tubbo), whenever they’re in tommy, wilbur etc.’s possession, or arguably even when they’re giving them up or pursuing getting them back, it’s like they’re charging them up.  making the discs MORE.

making the players more.  and also allowing them to be more heroic while pushing dream to be more villainous and more of a dark velvet for them to shine against.

and making the game more.

( they seem to be becoming jujus of a sort if you follow homestuck lore )

and they seem heavily HOPE aspect coded, full of passion and ideals and idealism.  and in fact tommy seems very hope aligned, though it’s hard to tell and he may be breath aligned and surround himself with hope players but there’s a lot of that coming from his side.

( and mexican dream is a brain ghost friend and helper in the best sense and content creator quackity is the bomb )

whatever cdream's classpect is i don't think he's utilizing his aspect the best way for his class; he's definitely found a way to use it, but to his own detriment and not to the potential of what he could be doing. i'm not sure about his aspect but i'm wondering about a mage?

FIRST THINGS FIRST CDREAM WOULD BE AN ACTIVE CLASS. and i really really think he would be light. LISTENNNNN to me. okay i do really nbeed to establish aspect first because in my understanding of aspects is that the class works around it, so it just doesn't make sense without it.

so. cdream light.

light is about The Meaning, The Answer. This aspect proposes with it's own existence that there is meaning to be found in every place, that there is a correct meaning or action. This doesn't mean it's good, mind you. Just that it's right (or Just, if you will). Light also means clarity and importance, and all light characters are crucial to the story (Rose, Vriska, The Other Vriska..) — which like, while we have argued to death the idea that what made the dsmp important was how there wasn't A Main character, cDream as an antagonist/villain was this presence that loomed above every character and arc. When he logged in shit was about to go down. HE'S IMPORTANT. and he's focused with finding Meaning within the story. Why does he do half the things he does? from a metatextual perspective, it's because the server needs someone to go against the main goals, but then it's revealed that he only actually wanted to go back to where things made Sense (the beginning. when everyone was friends with each other). It made sense to live in the same server when everyone was collaborating with each other, not so much when there's literal nuke threats against each other.

Light players are obsessive and cunning, and they love to appear mysterious and disconnected. However......you changed my life with what you said about him not connecting correctly to his aspect through an invesion, and thus I propose: Prince of Light cDream that, as the session progresses, inverts to Seer of Void (and gets punished for it by the narrative). You get what I think? I think this guy getting too much on the out of the cameras, in the background "manipulation" is what ultimately drives him to his own detrimentem. He doesnt stop being Light: he's looking for answers re: the three deaths system and the revival book and what the fuck is wrong with the server, but he no longer has access to prime prince of light powers, Manipulating light passively and voiding the world, creating blankness (aka DESTROYING not through his aspect). DO YOU GET MEEEE DO YOU HEAR MEEEE

personally i feel like qquackity is a thief of mind :p very self centered character who seems to be very aware of their own flaws but doesn't do much to really try and fix those flaws at the core(?) if that makes sense. i didnt watch dsmp so im unsure if any of this is leftover from his old character

His classpect in on dsmp was Prince of Mind so being Thief of Mind on the qsmp is not far off! I see you!

*reading* the Mind aspect unlike its counterpart the Heart aspect that concerns itself internally, Mind does so externally - this could be how they are perceived by others. It is the 'rational' thought put into a decision and the different roles they put on to respond to certain situations. I found an interesting take that a commonality Mind players share is that their actions are driven by a principle (eg: terezi and justice, right and wrong) and in this case q!Quackity's driving principle is the very concept of roles itself. The strive at first to be a father and to have a complete family, the role of a teacher, the role in the Federation, the role of being the groom at a wedding. Even if it means subjecting others to this principle - these are the different masks Quackity puts on and how he wishes everyone to perceive him.

Then there's the Thief Class which means to steal mind/ steal WITH mind, which for reasons above makes sense as he tried taking full custody of some of the egg kids and much more - even if he isn't good at it it's the thought that counts lmao. Thief is an active class (+self serving) which makes even more sense for Quackity as most of the things that he does he does to benefit himself (his image).

Additional extra stuff I particularly like THIS analysis on Thief of Mind and a lot of what op says connects to q!Quackity's story so I recommend reading it if you're interested. Some quotes in particular I want to point out:

God I love classpecting so much I love classpects I love analysing characters actions and personalities and how it influences others and how it affects their own classpect and which role it allows them to play in stories

ok here’s my take on the benchtrio in homestuck

(this is all dsmp characters btw)

Ranboo is a Mage of Heart for his sense of self and want to help others vibe together. Tubbo is an Heir of Doom, firstly, because of the MANY unfortunate events he's gone through, his association with government, and ofc the nukes you can't forget the nukes.

I was considering Tommy to be a Page, but I eventually decided on Bard. When Tommy first joined the server, he didn't have any friends or restrictions, and he immediately got bad blood with everyone. When he did make friends, he really didn't try too hard to keep those friendships, instead doing what he wanted to do. Like with Tubbo, when he burned down George's house and Tubbo was forced to exile him. Or with Techno, when he immediately turned his back on him to be with Tubbo again. Or again with Tubbo, putting the discs above him. Ok really Tubbo gets the short end of the stick. But as you can see, Tommy usually ends up destroying his relations, making him a good candidate for Bard of Blood. I still see Tommy as a protagonist, though, so he would probably learn how to not be absolutely terrible with this. Idk I haven’t watched the dsmp in a bit idk what’s going on.

Other facts: Tubbo's typing quirk is that he mispells often, always capitalizes his Ws and Ms, and CAPITALIZES FOR EMPHASIS. Tommy and Tubbo are prospit dreamers while Ranboo is a double dreamer. And yes, Tubbo’s troll name is Tuberculosis as best as I could fit it in. The only other character I decided a classpect on is Dream, and he’s a Theif of Hope.
