either the family curse finally catches up to hawke and they fulfill their never ending prophecy of tearing more and more of themselves to give to their loved ones. the joining is already a death. their sibling already had their turn now it’s hawke’s

OR

hawke falls victim to their own tragedy. to watching their final family member give their life for them. the family that they’d fought so hard to protect. that they went from home to home for that they sacrificed everything for. they thought they finally managed to save someone—one of their baby siblings—but did you think you mattered, hawke? did you think anything you ever did mattered?
