So originally when I followed you it was because a lot of my mutuals reblogged your posts and then when I looked on your blog you seemed really cool We don’t really talk much but since we’ve been mutuals I’ve decided that I think you are like genuinely very very funny like one of the funniest people I’ve seen on here. I really enjoy your art whenever you post it. I like reading your tags on posts and I find your OCs really cool (actually, this was quite a while ago but did you ever make that post about colours and your OCs, I never saw it. If you didn’t and you’re still interested in making it, it would be cool to see it). You’ve actually got me really interested in MASH which I’ve been trying to find somewhere to watch but so far I can’t. and you like my nonsense personal posts sometimes which is very sweet. ah everyone wants to hear about my ocs because theyre so cool. obviously. (someone asked this right before you and i'm currently writing about them lmao) (i shall tag you in the post when i'm done rambling <3 much love and thank you for askingg)

anyway here some fun facts for you

vivian speaks french because she is sort of french and her default strategy in any kind of situation is to just pretend not to speak english. this often does not end well for her.

nelson gets called addie by the men she works with (nelson -> admiral nelson from History -> admiral -> addie) because 1943 social customs also she first met robert by straight up hitting him with her bicycle (the poor guy goes through A Lot. this is definitely not my fault)

francis has a border collie called jules after jules verne. she reads definitely a Normal Amount

robert once fell in the lake and anne just sorta pretended not to see (she is quite frankly iconic)

I remembered I teared up a bit from what you said at the end of that quiz, too. I may make another NIN related one someday, but I doubt any time soon.

I'm glad you enjoy my long rambles about songs and albums! They are very therapeutic for me, especially after a long day. I've thought about doing a series for every song on The Downward Spiral sometime, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

i am, of course, immediately stuck on this question lmao. i think i'm a fan of writing the Captain with v low self-confidence/self-worth who just absolutely adores Pat and either knows it or has no idea. in adored and lost then found he has no idea about his feelings but for different reasons like one is he just won't admit it to himself and the other is sheer obliviousness (and past trauma). but yeah love that regardless he is always so smitten. i just think he is definitely a piner, you know.

also enjoy writing autistic Cap, even unintentionally. apparently i am good at that lol and you can probably just assume that he is autistic in every fic i write or have written

hmm what else is common, i honestly can't think? mostly i stick to modern au's over canon stuff and i tend to do fics that show the journey of a relationship - whether that's enemies to lovers or friends to lovers or whatever. love the realisations. love the steadily changing feelings. love how much can happen that pat or cap will easily explain away. if you can think of anything else that's common in my fics then i'd love to hear it because right now i'm struggling! i think i've been too much in the brain of 2 different fics i'm writing atm and can't remember ones that are already published haha

Alan Alda did this show on PBS in the 90s called Scientific American Frontiers where he interviewed scientists about their work. He "met" a robot a team of scientists was building and decided the best course of action was to flirt with it.

Did I mention this happened twice?

They weren't entirely humanoid, either. One of them poured him a drink and he was like "so are you going to be in town for the whole convention?"

This is my favourite piece of all time it’s so pretty I love it so much lol

The piano in this song is so nice and the guy’s voice is very calming, also the song itself is about missing home so y’know

I ADORE the guitar and drums in this and of course it’s hozier how can he not be comforting

This song makes me think of whimsical faeries and goblins dancing with little worms and bugs and also the comfort of being underground so yeah, also it’s very bouncy!!!

Amazing song. Very underrated probably because it’s in the same album as spellbound but is just as good. Anything by Siouxsie and The banshees is always good but this song is stunning

2. Lesbian Vampyres from outer space by the scary bitches.

Shocking that there seems to be like no fans of this band on tumblr. It’s parody goth music which is right up my alley. It’s funny and it’s genuinely good music. This song as well as ‘bats’ and ‘you’ll end up looking like the scary bitches’inspired my writing a lot lol

3. The passion of lovers by Bauhaus

One of the songs of all time omg. To be honest the first time I listened to it I could not make out the lyrics but honestly that kind of makes the songs. This song omg.

4. Where good girls go to die by London after midnight.

The synth on this song!!! I mean the synth on any London after midnight song on this album but this one especially wow. But specifically for the person who sent me this ask (hi!) check out the bondage song by London after midnight from the same album if you want to I think you would enjoy it! (But don’t judge it until you get 1-2 minutes in. I swear the buildup is so good)

5.strawberry switchblade’s cover of Jolene

I love strawberry switchblade and I love just Dolly Parton’s Jolene so obviously I would like their cover but this might not be everyone’s cup of tea
