i just willingly did some math
cause rain world
first: iterator height
clouds seem to start at the top of legs.
nimbostratus clouds, which rain, are around about 8 thousand feet up. meaning iterator legs are around 8 thousand feet tall
from eyeballing images, I think the cans themselves are about 1.5 times the height of the legs. so 12 thousand feet
meaning iterators are somewhere around 20 thousand feet tall
20 thousand feet is equivalent to 3.8 miles
the equation for how far you can see based on how high up you are is 1.22459 √ height in feet
1.22459 √ 20000 ft = 173
you can see about 173 miles from 3.8 miles off the ground
area of a semicircle is 1/2(πr2), r = 173
around 47,000 square miles
we can see 13 iterator cans from the top of pebbles' structure + moon and pebbs
divide 47,000 by 14 iterators (moon and pebbles lumped together, share facily ground), each iterator gets around 3,350 square miles of space
assuming that rain world planet is very similar to earth, total landmass of earth is 57 million square miles
divide those numbers and get 17,000(ish)
if we're including the oceans, then earth is 197 million square miles
divide that, get about 58,800
earth could support somewhere between 17,000 to 58,000 iterators in terms of space.
dang.

My work is doing a joint research project with WE and I’m moving to Gotham for at least 6 months very soon. Any tips for a new soon-to-be resident?
Since you are coming in with Wayne Enterprises, you likely got a kit. Ask if it's a short term or a long term kit to see what you have to get when you arrive.
Keep your gas mask on your person at all times and be aware that, even when most inmates are still in Arkham, small-time villains will also use gas attacks. Here are the most common instructions on how to keep yourself safe during any generalized gas attack.
Most tap water is unsafe, but you will be working with Wayne Enterprises and they can get the management to filter the systems properly. While you are in the WE buildings, the water will be safe. While outside the WE buildings, either boil water and let it cool down, or use a Gotham-certified filter.
Statistically, the least amount of crimes happen in Gotham on Sundays and the most happen on Wednesdays. Not that crimes stop happening or really lessen that much, but that is what the numbers say.
Here is a list of the currently active Bats and Birds. There are part time members of the Colony, but you really only need to remember those who are currently active.
If any major rogue attacks, let the Colony handle it. It is the GPD's and their jobs to handle it.
Good Luck!

Hey everybody!
Most of my followers here are familiar with me for my art, but I have a new trick to show you all: LIVESTREAMING A GAME in support of the Spinal CSF Leak Foundation during this year's Duradash! You can learn more about the event as well as the foundation itself in this link here: https://duradash.causevox.com/
I'm going to be playing Psychonauts quickly, and badly. Because it's a game with a lot of brains! And brains need fluid! It's thematically appropriate! Dependent on turnout I may be able to also offer some GOAL-BASED INCENTIVES such as: playing levels that would ordinarily be skipped in the routing I'm using! Drawing a picture based on a vote on stream! Something else! The world is your oyster.
Set your alarms for 3:00 PM MST/2:00 PM PST/5:00 PM EST/Whatever conversion of that is appropriate for your timezone! See you there, at twitch.tv/its3oe :)

I think it must be true that you don't find hobbies, hobbies find you.
Because apparently, my hobby now is maths.
But not just any maths. No, my hobby now is dice maths.
But not just any dice maths. No, my hobby is role playing game dice maths.
But not just any role playing game dice maths. No, my hobby is dice pool maths. You know, like old White Wolf games sort of dice pools, the kinds where you throw a handful of dice, and your "score" on the roll is how many dice roll above a certain number? That dice pool maths.
On the plus side, I just finished a 3-month-long project to find a formula for finding probability of rolling an arbitrary score on an dice pool that both explodes and implodes, which is nice if you're deep enough down this rabbit hole to know what the hell any of that means.
They say that when you get old enough, you start going back to the things that you liked as a teenager, and apparently what I liked more than anything else as a teenager was homework...
