5x4 Face the Strange

Okay. Reiterating and reorganizing my thoughts.

I do ship Barbie and Ken, because I thought they were cute and had great chemistry.

After some more pondering, I also understand why they broke up. I see why it had to happen after everything that Ken did and all that Barbie went through.

I think that, for the movie Greta wanted to make and the story she wanted to tell (specifically, the direction she took Ken's character arc) the breakup made the most sense.

But I also think that, had this movie been different, more focused on a fun time than on making a statement, Barbie and Ken would've, could've, and should've been endgame.

Additionally, I think if they ever make a sequel, it can still grant us that good romance after they both go through some more self-discovery.

I'm not gonna lie, deleting all of the cartoons from your streaming platform because it's not making you enough money sounds like the evil plot of a cartoon villain

having access to medical information for the first time in our life is a little overwhelming. most peoples bodies arent like mine. im not this hairy, my voice isnt this low, my body isnt this different in all these places, for no reason. i wasnt called slurs and had my parents pulled aside and whispered to during physicals for no reason. i had any information of my own body and hormones and medical information actually hidden from me, like a doctor whispered things to my mother that she never told me even when we begged. i would say so often that i was different, i could point at what now are very obviously symptoms and be told that it was nothing or not a big deal or just told i was LYING. by someone who took me to a doctor maybe 4 or 5 times and knew nothing about health herself. fuck.

“You are tired.” T’Rina’s soft voice caressed him like her hand did his cheek.

“It has been a most… excruciating day,” Saru replied, leaning into her warm, welcoming touch, covering her hand with his own. 

How he had missed her; her voice, her touch, her mind ever so gently reaching out for him. Every way she touched him felt like a light summer breeze coming from the sea, welcoming him home.

Now you can rest. Her words appeared in his mind the same time he thought them, and with a smile he turned his head, pressing a kiss into her palm, feeling her tensing up in a futile attempt to suppress a slight shudder. After all this time, a simple gesture like this still evoked such reactions from her…

Another kiss on the base of her thumb, and another, lower, where her hand met her wrist. Her endeavor to hide her rising desire was failing, as he could feel it, smell it almost, as he took the pull of the zipper that reached from her wrist to her elbow between his lips, pulling it down gently.

Finally, a gasp escaped her lips as his mouth closed over her pulse point.

i love not being online (except here) and hearing a bunch of second hand vague mentions of things I know nothing about. I feel like that gif of stan lee in spectacular spider man. Stuff happens and I sense some shadows and some movement but I'm just here listening to some tunes

Hello! Thank you so much for your advice on this blog, I learned so much reading your posts!

I also have a question that I'm somewhat stuck on. How do you construct a plot that has twists and a lot of intricacies? I don't know if I'm explaining properly, but so far, all of my plots have been somewhat,,,basic? I've tried following the advice on all the posts about constructing a plot, but while i have the skeleton of a basic plot, I can't expand it into those intricate and complex storylines that make a story exciting and full of new things and twists to discover.

I really want to make a story that has a sprawling storyline with twists and reveals and mystery and dicoveries, but I can't come up with it, as silly as it sounds. I don't know if it's because my creative skills are lacking, but I'm wondering if there is a way to improve my ability to craft such plots. As I am a beginner, I understand that it'll take a lot of work until I reach a level where my writing skills are really good, but this roadblock has been pulling the fun out of writing a bit.

I hope my message is understandable, and I'm sorry if something is confusing, english is my third language! Thank you again so much for all your help

Crafting an Intricate Plot with Twists and Surprises

The thing about all those twists, discoveries, mysteries, and reveals in a sprawling story is that they're all related to the story's conflict. So, before you can come up with all of those little intricacies, you have to understand plot and conflict. Read through the following posts for help with understanding plot and conflict:
