Rai was finally able to don a haori with the Hatake family crest. How long she had waited for this. Rai held the haori in her hands, her fingers tracing the large diamond pattern on the back. The kononotsu bishi. Two small ones on the front.

Yes, she loved her original family crest. The large Crescent moon in front of a mountain. But there was something about belonging to this family that made her proud. The crescent moon was generic for many Kami. Especially okami. 

Maybe, it was because she felt like she belonged. 

Rai slipped on the haori over her yukata. Looking up, she looked at herself in the mirror. Turning around, she admired the kamon on her back. Her thumb rubbed the material on her haori. 

This was to be their first social gathering as a wedded couple. 

A couple times a year, shinobi of chunin rank and above gathered to celebrate life and those that have past. It was mainly to celebrate their accomplishments as shinobi. 

Kakashi and Rai were going with Kurenai and Asuma, and several of their other friends. It was going to be a fun night.

Last song: I Wanna Take You For a Ride (Inspired by Marvel vs Capcom 2) by the 8-Bit Big Band. Absolutely love their music - big band stuff just has so much energy, and I love that! I don't think I've heard any of their stuff that's bad, or even meh. All Really Good music! (Did you know they did a full version of Mordin's little ditty from ME2? >3 https://youtu.be/UxVekZRIWyg)

Favorite color: Okay, this one is tough. Usually Blue or Orange. Not the overly bright, pastel versions. LIghtest blue I like is sky blue, or azure. And lightest orange...well, the fruit. xD I tend to favor darker variants of the two, and which I like more depends on my mood for the day, or what the subject being discussed is (whether this influence my two favorite reptilian ninjas, or vice versa, I cannot say... xD)

Last movie/TV show: Okay, last movie, simple - The Jim Carrey version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Aside from the original animated film, this one is my favorite. Jim's very physical acting, plus his amazing facial expressions paired with the makeup, and he does the Grinch Smile™ perfectly! For new movies? Godzilla Minus One. Go see it. Just... you gotta go see it! TV Show would be anime, and that would be Burst Angel, a show I got a preview DVD for an never was able to find again, until on a whim (and after catching sight of my wall scroll of such) I looked it up on Crunchyroll and there it was! I think the transfer from Funimation may have dinged the subtitles, but it's still pretty good.

Sweet/spicy/savory?: Yes. Very yes. BUT, if I absolutely have to choose, savory is top, especially if it's got a little kick to it. xD I cannot handle super sweet stuff, like cake frosting that isn't buttercream, and even that needs to be moderate. Spice tolerance...is alright. But there has to be flavor that I can get before the capzasin kicks in. I think some of my favorite spice comes from Indian food, cause it is spicy AND savory. x3

Relationship status: I am but a single okami. Am comfortable with it, and have been for a while, but I do miss a few things I'd like to have again. I have some things to lock down first.

Last thing I googled: The proper spelling for "Capzasin", because I keep think there's an extra c in it for some reason...

Current obsession: Um... I don't have anything demanding my time, though HALO Infinite is close. It's fun playing Firefight again, and I want the Superintendent AI companion, goddammit! (ODST my favorite game? Why would you think THAT? >3) But as games go HALO, FFXIV (I have a house that needs decorating, and maybe learning some gpose things so I can do sappy screeenshots of AKagi and his girls. x3 Or Gev being...himself. xD) and Armored Core VI, and really wanting to tweak some of my gunpla, honestly. I need to adjust my toolkit some. :P Much like Vash, I think I will thumb through the activity page and tag folks who I don't think have done this one. No pressure, of course, I just did mine because I am trying to be more active and stuff. Jewel O. Mega, Jack of Diamonds

Jewel is a repurposed FNaF OC that's been kicking around as a character and in my head for years, and as of basically literally yesterday at the time of posting I've spun her into being part of Celia's setting. her name was originally Omega, now reflected in the middle-last name combo (the O stands for Okami), and she also used to not be a girl until headmate Omega decided to transition a little while before I did, which was very funny in hindsight looking back

Jewel is the Jack of Diamonds, a position that acts as an advisor to the current ruler of Wonderland, who is currently Celia Whiterose. she's currently in the outside world trying to figure out if anyone else from Wonderland is still real, but coming up fairly empty-handed (er. empty-pawed?) since the possible amount of people who could have done that is admittedly pretty low by default. her ponytail doubles as an inked brush, and things that get touched by the ink have the potential to get changed depending on if Jewel had something in mind when it happens; for example, she could decide a wall could use an extra door, paint the wall, and there would be a door there. to combat any potential confusion from this, this action also effectively 'retcons' the world to a state where this was always the case (so the wall, in the eyes of anyone else that saw it, would have always been on that wall); the only ones who would know it was ever different are Jewel herself, the person changed by this (if done to a person), or anyone she re-paints into knowing what happened. she frequently abuses utilizes this to do little mundane things like change how many digits are on her paws (sometimes a girl just needs to have boxing glove hands for a while), what colors her fur is (fun fact: it used to be white!), or what her name is (furries will play a good Wii game one time and decide to immortalize it as a part of them forever)

old Jewel was a dog animatronic that served in the FNaF2 location as an engineer and repairman. she (even if it's a past iteration and makes the continued use of she/her slightly awkward in my mind I will not misgender this doog) had a two-part attachment instead of a right hand, along with a bunch of modules that could be put onto it. I have no idea what they all were anymore but what I do remember was a hook, a bigger hook, a wrench, a taser, and probably a few dozen others that I made specifically because I thought it would be cool (which I stand by tbh). and for some reason I decided that she would go into a Nightmare form if she listened to Monster by Skillet for long enough? specifically from the beginning up until the part where he says "feel like a monster" in the growly voice? not sure what I was cooking with that part tbh, I don't even think I used it in anything either so it was just there for the sake of it. at any rate this also isn't the first time we've tried to flip Omega into a different character, I distinctly remember making a Funtime version around Sister Location, then I found another old attempt at a full no-FNaF conversion that was more or less just a generic anthro dog furry with the hook module turned into a kinda kickass sword, which I might turn into a different OC at some point for the sword alone to be honest

i was thinking.. im kinda sad that i can’t find the joy kid and teenage me had for videogames anymore </3 like i used to be crazy about these things, a top passion and pastime, and now i can’t remember the last time i finished a videogame — i completed and played a massive amount of hours in every pokemon game from age 6 onwards and like….. now…….? i dropped arceus halfway, barely finished brilliant diamond (only because it was insultingly barebones) and am in the first third of scarlet but i haven’t touched the switch in weeks.

ive started a few titles in the past year but left them all at varying degrees of incomplete because i really had to force myself to pick them up and overcome a sort of “what’s the point?” feeling. they were like uhh okami, pikmin? super mario odyssey, things like that. of course some of it is just becoming grown i guess (lack of time + am no longer an extremely bored 8yo with literally nothing to do during holidays and who has no better option that to entertain themselves with a rotation of DS shovelware titles) but there are so many other adults of any age who are still hype about videogames so like i hope this is just a temporary slump for me hbshsb

im hoping starting a game like pentiment (if i ever get to it!!!!!!!) will give me back the joy and wonder lol. if any of you guys want to share your favorite games or what you’re currently playing i would love to hear it :)

Your taste in videogames goes off so hard, I think it every time you mention what games you like, I also love how nuanced you are about the games you play, a lot of people either think a game has zero issues if they love it or if it happens to not be for them they have to pretend like no one should, I really respect your ability to go 'I like this but it has flaws' and 'I dislike this because it's not for me but I see why others would like it', also I fucking love assassin's creed and pokemon so I'm biased

As for the rest! I try to consider everything that way. I don't always succeed but I do try. And because there are various things that don't chase me away from a title if everything else is strong.

For instance I think the first Witcher is a bad game that definitely deserved its $1 cost I bought it at on Steam. Between bugs and crashes and bad voice acting and really awful UI choices it's a miracle honestly that I stuck around long enough to play the next two. But... at the same time... I stuck around because I liked the characters, the world-building, the story, the concept enough that I was willing to forgive these things moving forward. And I'm glad I did, because I do like the Witcher series as a whole whether games, books, or now the Netflix show. But I think the first two games were, um, not good, and it takes a lot for me to consider returning to them to replay them. Though supposedly they're remaking them to be more like Wild Hunt which, god I hope so, because Wild Hunt fixed almost everything I had a problem with in the initial two.

    { I keep having laptop issues. Thus meaning my icons are once again in a state of limbo so intense, I could start doing this professionally.
