Re: Vampire: the Masquerade - Justice, their website article says one plays as a Banu Haqim investigating one's sire's death in a Venice, which is full of Hecata. The advertised powers reinforce that: Cloaks of Shadows is Obfuscate, Cauldron of Blood is Blood Sorcery, and Traversal and Cat's Grace are Celerity bonuses. The "Shadow Trap" power threw me. How does a Banu Haqim have Oblivion? Then I re-read the articles and realized. Oh. Diablerie. Our character will be eating their way through one million billion Hecata until they master Oblivion.

Pardon the random question, but when it comes to diablerie, I know that a vampire will drop one generation upon a successful attempt, and possibly more depending on how much lower gen the other vamp was. So, theoretically, how much would a 13th gen drop if they were to devour a 10th gen, and later an 8th gen vamp?

I think it's largely a "storyteller's discretion" thing. If it were me storytelling, I'd do one generation for each, since there isn't a massive difference. Maybe two for the 8th gen. Maybe. Generally tho I wouldn't do two generations or more unless the diablerised vamp is gen 6 or lower, but that's just me.
