+headcannons

Optimus: gotta stay focused

looks too old compared to his bot form.

I find it impossible for Optimus to be more than a million years old in this canon. In the least, he's older than 1000 years and since we have mfs that are canonically over 70 million years old(fagatron iykyk) compared to that, he feels like a dude in his early-to-mid-30's being the group parent.

-I made him more youthful, gave him curly hair, and tailored his clothing to actually look like his bot form.

-on the cusp of barley being able to hold his liquor

-doesn't own a pair of pajamas until Sari gets some for him

-usually forgets to put them on, but appreciates the gesture

-stays active for like, 3 days until he can't fight off sleep with work brain anymore, and unceremoniously passes out on the couch to sleep for a full 24 hours

-ratchet sighs and puts a blanket over him as per routine

-frequently checks security feed

-elf on the shelf despiser

-early morning talks with jazz and ratchet over coffee (they all wake up at 6 am)

-half thrives on caffeine and a vigorous training protocol

-is a dog person, loves German shepherds to death

Ratchet: to old for this nonsense

Ratchet is really old, he's got a sallow face and a gramp gut, how dare they square him. He's wayyy too angular and peachy looking.

-I gave him his luscious curves back, adding all the equipment id expect a field medic to have because he is a field medic, not a regular doctor. I changed his facial proportions, and also made his face gaunt, for that dead inside PTSD look.

Bumblebee: professional smart-ass

Bumblebees holoform is presented as a 10-12 year old child specifically for the fact that he's short, and the comedic relief. Total ass

I set his human age as 19-20 years old, making him more of a big brother to sari because that og model is disappointingly lackluster

-since he doesn't have wheels, I feel like he'd wear skates instead to emulate the feeling

-terrible at watching where he's going cuz he's too busy trying to show off, so ratchet makes him wear all that padding + training wheels

-Optimus has zero idea of what that means and thinks it's code for something dubious

Bulkhead: big guy, bigger heart

doesn't match his body type/aspirations.

Jesus fuck he's so wide?? And his belly migrated to his shoulders?? I'm gonna be honest, I really hate this design. I feel like it contributed to the "brute strength = stupid" take that most in the fandom associates with him.

Life or Death

Hey, people. I know I was pretty inactive recently (yet again) but that's what work does to you - tiredness becomes one of your constant companions. Nevertheless, once I saw a BlitzbeeWeek2023 announcement, I just knew that I had to participate in it because it's one of my favorite OTPs.

So, without further ado, this's my first work for the event! Like couple of other pictures along the road (ideally I plan to upload on a daily basis, haha), the scene you see here is taken from my fanfic called TFA: Icarus (or from my AU, so to speak). You can check the teaser and soon to be updates on a main work [here] if you feel like it. An image of this interaction was born in my head a while ago, but I thought that uploading it now would be a more productive thing to do prior I change my mind and let it rot in my sketches folder XD.

All in all, thank you, admin of @blitzbee-week, for making this event, I hope to see plenty of other mutual fans of this ship gathering this week to show our love for Blitzwing and Bumblebee.

AIGHT, INFO DUMP TIME-

This is a list of ideas/headcanons of the tfa fandom that crossed my mind, piled into one giant mess. Enjoy.

those are things that i consider canon in my works. (outside of AUs)

PLEASE READ- THE LIST KEEPS BEING UPDATED.

1. Bee has a golden voice when singing, he’s anxious about it tho. [the whole headcanon explained] After some time and events this scenario happens and Bee gets more comfortable around others.

2. Bee is basically a stuntman when skating. Casual or on battlefield, his actions are purely impulsive. Sometimes he’s lucky and pulls off that sick move... sometimes he ends up in medbay for many long hours. Here’s an example.

3. Bee is a good actor, he can lie on the spot and get away with it... most of the time. He’s also good at hiding his emotions. Fake it till you make it... or at least before Prowl comes knocking at your door.

4. Bee has 3 modes; Chaotic/Feral Gremlin, Kind Child and on rare occasion; Lazy Ferret. When he dates someone, there comes a 4th one; Lovestruck Idiot.

5. Bee is the early bird and wakes up way before the rest of the Autobots. He’s made a little routine of making the morning oil for the rest of the team. It’s the only thing he can “cook” really.

6. Sari keeps the weird healing powers the key had when she upgrades herself. Ratchet helps her figure it out and teaches her cybertronian first aid.

7. Rachet knows human curses and will use them when things are going down.

8. Sari and Bee are the young sibblings™. Prowl plays the role of the babysitter, keeping those two out of trouble.

9. Bee often vents to Prowl about topics he wouldn’t talk about with anyone. They have an unspoken agreement to never do anything to mess with the other when it comes to these meetings.

10. Prowl is accidentally creepy, he will eavesdrop or spy on someone unintentionally. He doesn’t mean it, but his curiosity can get the best of him sometimes. Here’s a list of things he eavesdropped so far.

11. Optimus is a kindsparked leader, he’ll think of the person’s wellbeing first instead of “is this okay with the law?”

12. Bulkhead sometimes helps the architects with building stuff, he likes the art aspect and the job is easy cuz he can carry like few tons of materials at once.

13. Random!Blitz will eat various things that are definitelly not meant to be eaten. Glow sticks, scraps, paint and even some organic things. He also chews on anything that he find appealing. Somehow, he has yet to end up in medbay for doing that.

14. Blitzwing likes to sculpt, he’ll carve in wood, stone, ice and metal.

15. Bee likes to set up harmless traps to mess with Prowl, his time repairing space bridges taught him how to construct things. He’s quite crafty. Unfortunatelly, Prowl still remmebers how to pull a prank in return. Here’s one of them.

16. There’s 2 versions of Megatron: cold and sadistic villain(canon) or scary but thoughful “father”(Cons Are Good AU)

17. Longarm(Shockwave) actually kinda likes Bee. The bot is optimistic, kind and funny. He likes to hang out with the scout and have some fun, but other than that he focuses on his duties as a traitor Prime.

18. Lugnut is Lugnut, he’s basically in love with Megs. Megs wants nothing to do with him except for work.

19. There’s 2 versions of Decepticons; they either want to to take over Cybertron(canon) or want equal rights and fix whatever the council has fucked up. (Cons Are Good AU)

20. Autobots and Decepticons are not separate species of transformers like i often see. They just have different builds and codings. A transformer who’s not aligned with any of the factions doesn’t have any specific behavior attached, it all depends on what they learn as a sparkling. If they choose a faction, an additional coding is added to their system which might alter their behavior slightly.

21. Since time units are very confusing in the fandom i decided to settle on this: Nanoklik (1 second), Klik (1 minute), Joor (1 hour), (Solar/Lunar)Cycle (day/night), Decacycle (week), Orbital Cycle (month), Stellar cycle (1 year). Then it all goes like normal; decades, centuries, millennia. Sometimes i will use other transformer time terms when i don’t know what else to use.

22. Ratchet, despite being a medic, dismissed his own small damages. He says he will take tare of them later but never does, which later comes back as a bigger problem. Like a trembling wheel, dimmed light or glitched comm piece. He’s learned to go fix himself when reminded about them or look for Sari.

23. Prowl has a bad habit of nightly snacking, he meditates all day long and sometimes forgets to refuel. Bad habit but he’s not really keen on stopping.

24. Shockwave/Longarm is the tech folk, the one who manages files and all, but he’s also somewhat of a medic. He knows how to patch system errors/viruses as well as fix some external damages.

25. Megatron actually remembers Optimus’ name, he just chooses to avoid using it because he has a grudge agaist the Prime for kinda offlining him.

26. Prowl doesn’t die in my timelines/AUs. Nor does Blurr. Nobody does(permanently). I just can’t let them.

27. Claws and sharp dentae are a basic upgrade you get when becoming Decepticon. Based on the frame type, there are few exceptions, example: Blitzwing has both sharp teeth and claws, but Lugnut has only sharp teeth cuz his servos are not compatible with the claws. Same with Shockwave but he's only got claws.

28. Bee was raised in the orphanage, he never brought it up to anyone. The only one to know might be the one he’d date. [See this post but exclude the adoption part]

29. Since Shockwave has 2 forms, he has something similar to Blitzwing’s multiple personalities thing- it’s not that intense, but there is a weird switch in his mind that he can activate on command. He is more laid back and cheery when he’s Longarm. When he’s Shockwave he’s very calm and focused- It’s his peak performance form, so to say. A weird thing that happens with Longarm is that he’ll be focused and calm with everyone but the second he, Bee and Bulkhead are alone- it’s time for wild fun.

30. Everyone thinks Random is the cannibal. He’s not, Icy is the one enjoying devouring a fellow mech. He keeps quiet about it, Random is just hyping it up like he usually does with everything.

31. Blackarachnia may be a mad scientist but she would help someone out if they begged her enough. She’d do everything to fix a bot- but then use them for her own goals. Every “transaction” you make with her will have the consequences... well, unless she’s “feeling generous”- which is like a miracle and you’ve probably made her feel bad if she does this.

32. Bumblebee loves to dress up. He loves human clothes, he loves cosmetic upgrades, he liked the temporary paint that is make up. He’ll never admit or show it though. He feels like if he does, he’s gonna be judged and everyone’s gonna stop liking him. Dressing up makes him feel like he’s truly pretty and amazing. He doesn’t want that feeling crushed if others find it weird and tell him to stop. Idk if “Drag Queen” is the correct term for this but he defo likes dresses and painted details like make up.

33. Bee dresses up for Halloween with Sari. Despite what i said in the previous point, he allows himself to dress up in cool costumes- usually the classics like a vampire or ghost. Never anything cute tho- those costumes are saved for his time alone. One time he made himself look like the haunted black taxi from that one movie- Optimus was on patrol and heard about some shady car scaring people so he went to check it out. Poor Bee tried to scare him too and got send to medbay. Optimus apologized for two days after that incident.

34. Bee has a job that earns him human money- in some weird chain of events he met a guy with a shop that sells old and damaged stuff. He offered to pay Bee money to bring him old stuff from garbage yards/trash stations that may be restored and sold. So now he has a fun and productive way of earning money to buy new games. He goes treasure hunting at least once a week.

35. Bee is really flexible and can basically squeeze anywhere he desires. No one knows how he does it and he constantly gets stuck in weird places. You wouldn’t think he’d fit into that heavy duty airvent, but alas, he’s there waiting for help.

36. Bumblebee and Prowl are almost the same height; motorbikes are small, even when compared to tiny cars. Prowl is only few inches taller than Bee. He is very thin in build, Bee is more bulky and wide. Bee is also physically stronger than Prowl- Prowl is always using tactics and momentum and physics and such to gain advantage over stronger enemies.

37. Bee is a natural climber- being the short bot, it’s obvious he has to climb to reach that shelf. His servos have rough pads on them to help him stick to sufaces better. It’s especially effective with earth’s buildings since they’re made of rough concrete.

38. Bee naps in riduculous places, he’s like a ferret. He’ll squeeze or climb into places and sometimes get stuck there so others have to get him out. His favorite places to nap are Bulkheads subspace and under his berth.

39. Bee will learn anything about any game just to win. He has a self-claimed title “Game King”. One time he found out about Prowl liking chess- he spend the next few cycles on research and perfecting his skill with online chess. The “Game King” title has been made valid by everyone after Prowl got obliterated in chess by Bee.

40. Prowl has to temporarily move out of his room in winter because there is no roof. He has a back-up room for when the snow starts piling up and he can’t recharge in it. He also has to recharge in the back-up room when there is a heavy downpour and his room floods.

41. Each Team Prime member has their own love language/way fo showing affection/care. [Here i listed them]

42. At some point in the story, Bee and Bulkhead would become Amicas. Not Conjunxes(spouses)- they are Amicas(long-term best friend). [this and this]

43. I imagine Bumblebee would be a great parent- sure he’s reckless most of the time but when it comes to Sparklings- something in his mind switches and he goes full ‘Mama Bear mode’. [exaples: this and this]

44. Optimus is a great cook, he especially loves to bake. Bee is into mixology- he makes morning oil for everyone after all. Prowl cooks with organic ingredients for Sari, he wants her to eat more healthy so he takes it upon himself to make sure she does. [anker post]

45. Bee loves racing, in AU or not. He’ll go up to anyone and challange them to a race. The winner gets the respect of being faster. Blitzwing is Bee’s go-to race rival, they have fun together and mess around on some occasion. [anker post]

46. Bee got crayons from Bulkhead. Sometimes he will draw things- he drew a picture for their first christmas and everyone loves it, it’s hanging in the main room now.

47. Here you have Halloween and Christmas traditions with the group cuz i’m too lazy to write an entire point for it.

48. IMPORTANT FOR ALL NSFW WORKS: Interfacing and Sparklings. My version is different from the ususal sexual spike/valve thing. C’mon they’re ALIENS. I have it all written out in this post.

49: Bumblebee, Sari and Bulkhead are The Gamer Trio. They always play multiplayer games together when they’re not busy. Sometimes Prowl joins them for specific games. [anker post]

50. Team Prime + Sari have preffered food flavors n such. [anker post]

51. Team Prime + Sari having trouble sleeping/recharging and doing stuff instead of that. Nightly habits list. [anker post]

52. Bee has ADHD, you can’t convince me otherwise. He has also been diagnosed with depression later on. Oh, also Prowl is on autism spectrum. Dw, they take meds for that. [adhd+autism post here, Bee having depression here]

53. Bee talks in his sleep. It’s easy to tell if he’s having a nightmare or not. He’s just murmuring what is happening in his dream, not every night but surprisingly often. Funny enough you could have a conversation with him like this. [anker post]

54. Ratchet volunteers as medical assistance in Detroit. The messed up USA healthcare system is beyond what Cybertron had.

Techno-organic has been a thing in other transformers media, so how do you think some of the autobots and decepticons would deal with this idea coming up and also meeting one?

I don't think I can write a story with that idea, sorry about that. But I think it's indeed interesting to wonder about this subject, which is why I propose to see it with an analysis. So, how would the Autobots and Decepticons react to a Techno-Organic?

First of all, it's true that the term Techno-organic has already appeared in several Transformers media, such as Animated, Beast Wars or G1. I suspect there must be some in other universes, but I don't think I can find them all. I will also assume that the term Techno-organic necessarily refers to a half-organic, half-Transformer being.

Techno-organic is a pretty broad term, because in Animated it mentions Blackairachnia as well as Sari Sumdac. The common point between these two characters is to have both a link between their mechanical side and their more "alive" side. Sari's hair or skin can be seen as organic, for example it's not like Astroboy, who is entirely robotic. Also, she eats human food and not energon. Blackairachnia on her side swings webs, and her rather animal appearance is reminiscent of the organic side. Elita-one having absorbed the abilities of organic beings, it is normal that she ends up taking part of them.

It is therefore not necessarily interesting to wonder about the reaction of the Autobots and Decepticons of Animated, because they have already faced it. Same in Beast Wars, the characters are literally Techno-organic, here again it's animal appearance, but also animal characteristics such as fur, feathers, or shell.

Next, in G1, as Techno-Organics we have our little trio of Insecticons: Bombshell, Shrapnel, and Kickback. We can categorize them as Techno-Organics because they technically did like Beast Wars. These ancient Decepticons woke up on an uncivilized Earth, so without any vehicles. They then chose insects that were for them more adapted to life on this planet. Their organic side allows them here to be able to feed themselves with what they want, and to transform it into energon. They are technically omnivorous. Here too, we know the reaction of the Autobots and Decepticons, surprised at first, then they ended up getting used to it.

Finally, for me in TFP we also have the existence of Techno-organic, the most glaring example being Airachnid, which comes very close to the characteristics of Black Airachnia in Animated. Besides, surely Airachnid wasn't the only one of her kind (not counting the Insecticons of course). But we can also wonder about the Predacons, especially seeing the wings of Predaking, which really do not look robotic, more like the composition of the wings of a bat, it is the only flyer robot that does not fly thanks to the propulsion of a engine.

Of course we don't have Techno-Organics in the half-robot half-human sense, Sari Sumdac being truly unique in that regard. This is only possible with the protoforms in Animated, and so the only possible way to create one in TFP would be for example with the protoforms in the Harbinger. Although, given all the procedure Starscream had to go through to get clones, it's not something that could happen by accident. It would have to be intentional. Afterwards, why do that, that would be a good question…

The Autobots would have no interest in it, the only result would be that they would have injured humans. Because to activate the protoforms in TFP would require DNA and human blood. I forgot how it worked with Starscream, but in any case I am sure of one thing and that is that it would take a lot of blood, more than in a single human. It had cost Starscream a lot of energon, so imagine for a human (all his blood goes through it, and that wouldn't even be enough). Either way, if that were to happen, most of the Autobots would be welcoming. The only one who would be the least would be Ratchet, but because he doesn't really like organics, he has already taken a long time to tolerate the kids.

The Decepticons, on the other hand, abhor humans, seeing a half-mechanical one would grossly disgust most of them, except perhaps Breakdown and Dreadwing, who never showed a real aversion to organics. Soundwave most likely wouldn't care, and the only one really interested would be Shockwave. But well, it's Shockwave. Starscream is already disgusted by Airachnid, so imagined another half-human Techno-organic form this time, same thing for Megatron who doesn't like humans. Airachnid would want to collect it, no doubt. As for Knockout, I think that despite the fact that he is attached to his hygiene, he wouldn't mind. I think it's even one of the Decepticons who is closest to humans, meeting a half-mechanical one would surprise him, but he would not join in the half-general disgust. Either way, they underestimate humans for the most part, they would have no reason to want to create a Techno-Organic.

In any case, for me, in TFP, it's not so much a Techno-organic that would make them react more or less badly, but rather the fact that this Techno-organic is half-alien or not. So half-Transformer, half-human, for example.

You and your secret Autobot lover Bumblebee were at your usual meeting spot in the forest, by the small lake.

Sun was shining there were no clouds in the sky, birds were singing and the day was just plain beautiful. You honestly were starting to like Earth and all the life there was on the organic planet.

Bumblebee was telling you about how he had been "helping" Bulkhead, the big green but gentle Autobot friend of his, to paint a picture by modeling for him, but in the end, Bumblebee couldn't understand art.

"And then I saw it and my helm was all weird in the painting!"

"You look really pretty right now if that helps?" You said with an honest smile and Bumblebee rolled his blue optics and smiled back, "Duh, I always look good."

"And you're ever so humble, little Autobot." You chuckled and Bee was about to complain when suddenly you both heard the bushes behind you rattle.

You whipped your helm towards the sound, highly alerted. What or who was it? Animal? Autobot or Decepticon?

Animals usually left you alone, but if it was your enemy or your ally then you and Bumblebee could be in serious trouble.

"What is it?" The yellow minibot asked and you frowned as you got up on your pedes, getting ready to act according to what would come from the bushes.

You didn't expect a little humanoid with red pigtails to jump out of the bushes.

"Sari!?" Bumblebee shouted and you squinted your optics at the small human, "Human?"

"Watch out Bumblebee!" The little human girl shouted as she ran and set her small form between you and your lover. Bee looked at her in confusion, "Sari, what are you doing there?"

"You have been acting weird so I followed your signal here!" Human said as she shot you a glare.

"Back off Decepticon! I won't let you hurt my friend!" She shouted and you blinked in confusion as you looked at her and then Bee.

"What should I do? I'm not that familiar with these smarter organics?"

"Look, I'll handle this," Bee quickly said as he leaned down and poked the human girl to get her attention, "Sari, this Con, uh… Is actually my Conjunx?"

The girl whipped her head around and looked at her yellow friend, "A what now?"

"Partner." You offered a helpful answer and the small human looked at you and scowled, "Lies, you're lying! Bumblebee wouldn't date a Con!"

"Actually, Sari…" The minibot Autobot smiled wobbly as he averted his gaze and the tiny human gawked in shock.

"But-! They are a Decepticon!" She shouted.

"Yeah, but they are a good kind of Con!" Bee said as he walked next to you and reached up to pat your shoulder plate, but Sari was having none of that.

"Bumblebee, "Sari took a deep breath before shouting, "They are a Decepticon! They are one of the bad guys!"

"I know, I know, but they are different!"

"How?"

"They are actually really nice!" Bumblebee turned to look at you like he was expecting you to back him up, "Tell Sari how you aren't like most Decepticons!"

You stared at your partner for a second before sighing and turning your attention to a small human.

"What Bumblebee is saying is true. I hold no interest to hurt him or using him to gain an advantage over you Autobots."

"Then why are you with him?" Sari asked and you blinked, "Excuse me?"

"Why not date another Decepticon?"

"I just… He…" You glanced at Bee and smiled, "He makes me laugh unlike anyone else."

You grinned harder at the memory that surfaced in your mind, "I mean, did you know that once he made Blitzwing so mad he melted the ice he had frozen and fell through it to a lake!"

"Wait, he did what?" Sari blinked and you smiled as brightly as this world's sun did, "You haven't heard!? Oh Primus, you have been missing out on a great story!"

"You gotta tell me about it!" Sari said and you smiled as you sat down to tell the story and the little human copied you, sitting down to listen to you tell the story with amazing details.

As you were telling the story of Bumblebee's great battle strategy which was his winning personality, he watched you, his lover, and Sari, one of his best friends bond over the exciting story.

"And, oh yeah, Blitzwing was fuming when we got back to base and he found a fish in his cannon!" You ended the story and you and Sari laughed out loud as you held your stomaches that ached with laughter.

"Oh God, I wish I had seen it!"

"It was hilarious!"

"Yeah, a Decepticon that can laugh at other Cons is a pretty nice change." Sari nodded as she smiled, and you and Bee smiled but then came the big question. Would Sari tell others about you two?

"Sari, uh, this thing between me and them is kind of a secret…? We don't think others will understand and it wouldn't be safe if they knew. We Autobots or Decepticons. You get it right?"

"Are you asking me not to tell Optimus and others?" She asked and the two of you nodded.

"I doubt you Autobots react that drastically, depending on who we are talking about of course, but I would be in a grave situation if Megatron caught me being with Bumblebee." You explained as you frowned lightly.

"Do you think that we can keep this a secret? It would be the three of ours own little secret?"

Of course, you knew that the Autobot ninja called Prowl also knew, but that was your and his secret. Sari looked thoughtful but finally, she smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I think we can keep it as our secret."

"Thank you Sari!" Bumblebee and you cheered and the small human nodded, but then she flinched as if remembering that she was supposed to be a stern friend who was looking out for her friend's well-being.

"Okay, you are alright and we have our secret, but I'm keeping my eye on you. Do anything suspicious to Bee and I won't swear what I will do!"

"I promise, I take good care of my lil Bee." You said with a smile and Sari snorted at the nickname, "Lil Bee."

"Hey, only they get to call me that." Bumblebee shouted and the human grinned, "Yeah, nah ah, fat chance. From this day onwards you are Lil Bee."

"I'm bigger than you!" He shouted.

"So?" Sari grinned, "You're smaller than them!"

As Sari and Bumblebee started to playfully pricker with each other, you were all smiles as you gained a new friend, and your bond with Bumblebee was strengthened.

Megatron's Kids AU — A HEAVILY INSPIRED AU

For @tealcicada bc I owe them for being inspired by their Decepticon!Sari AU.

The Kids (They're really just teens HJSKSHFAGHFJH):

(I used Picrews; Robot Girl Maker, Bright's Picrew Hell— OG AU their 'Imprinters" are their parents)

Madison — M4D150N; One of the "Oldest" Siblings, was modeled and imprinted from a Construction Worker Woman. Megatron's favorite (Don't tell the others) "Kid". Acts commanding, protective, assertive, snooty (When irritated easily), goes after Starscream a lot for trying to overthrow her "Carrier/Dad"

Jane — J4N3, "Youngest" Sibling to be protoformed/imprinted, was modeled and imprinted from a Business Man. Megatron's most protective over her since her development almost busted— Hence her tear in her face (She gets scared of the operating table, so Megatron ordered her not to be fixed if she didn't want to). Kind, scared easily, clumsy, loyal to Decepticons (She just is used as the bait)

Lacre (La-Cree) — L4C733, "Middle" Sibling, was modeled and imprinted after a Fighter Guy. Megatron relies on him for info-extracting. Is harsh when doing business, but overall protective too, calm mostly, has a slight temper on a normal basis, sassy, collected internally, a tad unhinged

Tanaka — 74N4K4, Second "Oldest" Sibling created, protoformed and imprinted by a normal civilian. Megatron trusts him to look over the others like Madison, but also look after Madison too. Calm and collected, but can get nasty if needed be, stable pillar for the siblings and Megatron sometimes, protective as well

Madison doesn't care if she looks different or wears weird clothes around other humans, she just wants them to mind their business if they catch a glimpse of her. Her modeling/imprinting/creating sequence was almost interrupted and unfinished, so her lil feet aren't properly coded for.

Jane's a bit more self-conscious about her femme parts, so she usually wears clothes to try and hide most of her femme metal areas. Since her modeling/imprinting/creating sequence almost got screwed over when Megatron and Shockwave made her, it seems that some of the imprint didn't stick, so her arms and hands are mainly robotic.

Lacre actually got a full coding sequence done, hence the reason why he looks more humanoid. He and Tanaka managed to stay with their "imprinters" so they have more of a grasp on how human life and society works.

That's all really! I'll give the plot next post if I have motivation lol, but this AU I've been working on for 3 weeks now! Tanaka and Lacre's eyepatches are to signify their red optic, as well as the brick-like thingy and the stitches— They're mimicking welded stuff. Lacre and Tanaka have their sparks exposed in the forehead like Starscream, while Madison and Jane's are in their chests, like in the middle.

Hope you like it @tealcicada!! I am still working out some stuff to hopefully make it more TFA-Accurate, but I'm happy with what I've got so far! Thank you for answering my ask and giving me info!! Hopefully I can share more with you!!

This thing right here... this thing took me a couple weeks to finally get done. I’ve just been so exhausted and burned out, it’s nearly impossible to focus. Plus I had to quit my job due to an abusive boss, so that was fun. And then halfway through this I found out that my secondary monitor was a bit off in color balance, and that would have been okay except that my main laptop monitor is WAYYYY off and totally undersaturated. And, it can’t be fixed, because my laptop has no adjustment buttons, calibration via Windows needs those buttons, and NVIDIA is not adaptable to laptop adjustment. So. I just had to adjust my secondary monitor and do the art on that. My first few drafts of this character have been off in color, off in shape, off in pattern, but I think I’m finally happy with it.

If you can’t tell, this is an alternate version of Sari Sumdac from Transformers Animated--this is a Transformers Prime version of her, with a different backstory and aged up to an adult. I’ll put more about her under the cut. Along with the reason Breakdown’s spark is there.

I’ve posted a few drafts of this character on here before, mainly for my other Drawtober/Inktober designs over the years. This version is very different. Originally, Vizard was a Decepticon Seeker who was given an experimental T-Cog that let her shapeshift, and she ran to Earth to hide before losing her memory and living as a human.

This time, she started off as Sari. In the Prime universe, she was Dr. Sumdac’s biological daughter and was never made from a protoform. She also never met the Autobots, and grew up as a very curious, sometimes recklessly enthusiastic young woman. Her father always encouraged her curiosity, and so when he passed in a tornado, her impulse control was taken away and she became an urban explorer for the scariest of places.

She finds online that the abandoned MECH base in Russia has people wondering about it, and gets curious herself due to the weird activity going on around Earth at the moment--late in the Prime series, after Breakdown’s body is destroyed the second time by Airachnid and Cylas. Sari buys a plane ticket and sneaks in to explore, and ends up finding a bunch of old experiments left behind in a rush or knocked over in a fight. One section had a storage unit of old Cybertronian parts. Half of it was inaccessible, but near the front was the more recent parts, including Breakdown’s spark chamber, intact.

There’s also experiments with protoforms, Project Chimera prototypes, a different variety of Synthetic Energon, and some Dark Energon. One section has been sealed away in haste, and Sari, endlessly curious, unlocks it and finds a few abominations of Terrorcons--the Dark Energon has mixed with the protoforms and Synth-En, and they’re strong, hungry, and mindless. As Sari runs, she activates a few more experiments, namely the body prototypes. As the broken Synth-En containers mix with them, they connect to the missing piece the scientists hadn’t thought to use: Breakdown’s Spark. This wakes Breakdown up, but unfortunately, while his spark activates the body, it doesn’t see him as a potential framework and doesn’t give him a new body.

Instead, it latches onto Sari and gives her the Vizard transformation. Vizard is pumping with Synth-En (the green fluid in the limbs) and has a variety of different pieces from different Cybertronian forms. Her base parts are that of a Seeker, though, which Breakdown and Vizard only find out much later. Sari fights her way out as Vizard with Breakdown’s advice and they get in contact with Knockout. Megatron doesn’t care about Knockout’s personal trauma and orders him to stay, but Knockout is not about to be separated from Breakdown again, so he deserts to find Sari.

This leads to a bunch of different things I have yet to outline properly, but which I think have better potential than my previous version of Vizard. I know Knockout and Breakdown bond a lot with Sari whilst also being exasperated with her whims, and out of concern for her safety (partially because if she dies, so does Breakdown) they end up asking the Autobots for help. It takes time before they consider themselves part of that team, but they are at least neutral allies for a while.

At one point, while looking through the old MECH base for clues that they can use to help Sari and rebuild Breakdown, they unlock the sealed parts room and find the Seeker pieces used for Vizard. Turns out they were Skywarp and Thundercracker, and their spark chambers are also stored away, if more old and delicate due to time. Knockout contacts Starscream, who has a similar experience: Megatron says no and gives threats, Starscream has to essentially fight his way out, maybe I’ll have Bumblebee or someone help him get out. And then he’s very gung-ho about the research so he can have his Trine back.

Sari’s Vizard form being made from his Trine kind of makes her his sister, and Starscream slowly bonds with her rather than sees her with disgust. He is insistent on teaching her to act more dignified to go with his original, aristocratic status. Sari is insistent on him apologizing to Arcee, now that he more immediately knows the pain of wanting your partners to be okay. It’s rough and there’s a few fights, but eventually they at least tolerate each other. The kids love Sari and Miko is absolutely determined to befriend the former Cons and show she can.

Throughout all this the Synth-Terrorcons are on the rise, and the Autobots mainly agree to work with Sari and the defects in order to fight off the hoarde. They need the MECH research in order to stop the infection from spreading, since the Synth-En mixing with the Dark Energon is making extra cyber-matter grow and form new zombies everywhere. So, between the heartwarming bonding and silly moments, there’s a lot of trauma and horror and fighting with unexpected allies. Skywarp and Thundercracker welcome Vizard as their sibling (Skywarp is nearly in tears with his hammy enthusiasm) and Knockout and Breakdown sort of act as her adoptive parents. There will probably still be further drafts and changes to this design and story, but I like where it’s going so far.
