Ok so you said that asks about your writing is open, so are you going to finalize your Avatar au? Like are you going to make a full fic about it? I like the concept and was wondering about it the other day, it's okay if you don't continue it though, i know you already have soo many writing projects under your belt
Also another question, in your MLB au wil alll the Generals eventually cross paths? I know Senku and Chrome already met, but I'm curious whether they are going to meet Gen, Ukyo, or even Ryusui
The ATLA au is actually one of my favorite aus and the only reason it’s not a published fic on my ao3 yet is because I get distracted by other things tbh. I like to pretend that I have a schedule in mind for my projects but it’s really just “when I feel up to it” for most things.
And you’re right, I do have an awful lot on my plate right now as it is. Currently I’d say my focus is on When the Lions Were Late/my no stone wars au, which is actually my most popular ongoing fic on ao3. I want to finish chapter 10 of that fic before I start adding to anything else, but college and mental health have really been a drag on my writing productivity.
I’d love to develop what I have so far into an actual fic, but it might be a looooong time before I get around to it. In the meantime feel free to ask me for headcanons/stuff in the au and I’ll gladly post some smaller things here on the tumblr!
As for the MLB au (which also will take a while to get updated), yes the rest of the generals will be included later on. Some won’t show up until later seasons though.
I actually managed to incorporate almost all the named Dr. stone characters into the overarching plot of the MLB au, which I’m rather proud of. It’s all been planned out through five seasons of ten episodes (chapters) each, and though it’ll take a long time to finish I’m really looking forward to seeing people react to it.

WIP List Game
I was tagged by @yaraneechan, flattered you thought of me haha.
Rules: In a new post, post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet of it or tell them something about it!
Okay so. Um. I should probably put this under a readmore because I have. A Lot. I'll try to stick to ones I feel like I've invested a lot of effort into/want to post eventually? If I listed every wip document I had it'd be way too much! Better sort them by fandom too...

Dr. Stone ATLA AU Pt 2: Secrets of Ba Sing Se
Again, spoilers for an in-the-works fanfic but I really like sharing my ideas so here it is, under the cut if you’d rather not be spoiled. This story takes place in Book 2, whereas the first took place in Book 1.
15 year old Senku Ishigami and his adoptive father Byakuya live a fairly normal life in the Middle Ring of Ba Sing Se. Byakuya is a professor at Ba Sing Se University, while Senku spends his days studying in preparation for the University’s entrance exam (one must be 16 at the youngest to attend the University) and building various inventions with his best friends Taiju and Yuzuriha.
Things are going well for Senku, until his father starts acting more and more paranoid, giving instructions to Senku to keep a locked box safe for him. Suddenly he unexpectedly goes missing for a full day and comes back with holes in his memory. Senku realizes that Byakuya had secretly been investigating the strange disappearances of various Lower Ring women that law enforcement hadn’t bothered to look into (the Joo Dees).
Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha do some digging and eventually discover the Dai Li’s corruption, including threats from the Dai Li to Byakuya saying if he doesn’t stop investigating, then something might happen to Senku. Additionally, a guilty Lian Wei (Lillian) meets with them and says that one of the reasons Byakuya got so involved with the disappearances was because one of the missing women was a childhood friend of hers whom she had inexplicably run into in the Upper Ring, going by a different name and not even recognizing her, saying it must be a coincidence.
Realizing that the Dai Li could come after them, Senku and his friends are at a loss for what to do, until a strange bald kid with orange clothes shows up at the University asking around for information.
Specifically, Aang and company meet a student on the University grounds, who directs them to the library and says “If there’s a book about it, Senku will know how to find it.” Still chaperoned by Joo Dee, Team Avatar meets Senku, who checks out some books about the city's history for them. Senku then plots how to talk to Team Avatar in secret.
The Gaang is approached by Jet and when they find an empty warehouse and conclude that Appa is no longer in the city, Longshot and Smellerbee show up. After realizing that the Dai Li must have done something to Jet, who should appear but Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha, with Senku declaring that the Dai Li is ten billion percent up to no good. The groups introduce themselves and Senku reveals his own evidence against the Dai Li.
Senku explains how a number of the Joo Dees match descriptions of missing women from the poorest parts of the Lower Ring, often refugees with no family to miss them, only perhaps some friends and acquaintances who were concerned enough to report to the police. However, rather than police reports the information Team Senku has was personally collected by Byakuya due to the incompetence and willful negligence of the Lower Ring police, with Byakuya suspecting an actual cover-up linked to the Dai-Li.
Byakuya himself has recently disappeared, only leaving behind a note that said he was taking a short vacation for a few weeks and that if Senku needed anything he could talk to the neighbors. Smellerbee and Longshot wonder if Jet and Byakuya were taken to the same place.
Katara uses her healing on Jet and he recalls being taken to a lake. Senku then pulls up a book about the pirate queen Tagaka, who was imprisoned under Lake Laogai by Avatar Kyoshi. Reasoning that the Dai Li must have a base there, Senku says that if they collect enough evidence they could expose the Dai Li to the whole city, making it impossible for them to brainwash everyone at once. Additionally, they could find out if anyone in the government wasn’t involved with the Dai Li, as well as connections to the black market to find Appa - Senku is ten billion percent sure that the secret police would keep tabs on the black market. Everyone takes note of the unsaid portion of Senku’s plan - he’s worried about his dad, even if Jet came out otherwise unharmed.
After confirming the base’s existence with Toph’s seismic sense, Yuzuriha whips up a set of fake Dai Li uniforms (which won’t really help on close inspection since they’re all short teenagers save for Taiju and Sokka, but they might at least confuse the real Dai Li for a moment), and Senku shows off some of the makeshift weapons he made, including smoke bombs and a crossbow, using knowledge from his earnest study of the engineering and science books in the library. Sokka gets very excited over the inventions, and Yuzuriha comments that it’s not everyday Senku meets someone with such an interest in his science work.
While they get ready Senku says he knew Aang was an air nomad from the start, but that there is very little about the nomads in the library from after the life of Avatar Kyoshi, and absolutely no mention of the genocide that happened one hundred years prior. Team Avatar starts to feel uneasy about the ban on talking about the war, and Senku concurs - they in turn are surprised to hear about the drill attack.
The combined team infiltrates Lake Laogai, and split into two teams - Team Senku + Sokka and Aang look for the records room to collect incriminating paperwork and potentially any information on the black market for Appa, while Team Jet + Katara and Toph look for the holding cells where Byakuya and other prisoners might be. They plan to meet up back outside as soon as possible.
To Aang’s surprise, the records reveal that Appa came to Ba Sing Se two weeks prior and was captured and put in a large holding cell. Meanwhile Jet’s team successfully finds Byakuya, who is pretty disoriented until Katara uses her healing on him. They also find a whole bunch of Joo Dees, which is very creepy, but when they try to convince them to come with the group, one Joo Dee sounds the alarm.
The commotion brings nearly the entire Dai Li forces out, and Aang and Senku’s team join the fray. A fight breaks out and both Jet and Byakuya (plus the Joo Dees) fall under Long Feng’s brainwashing spell. Toph and Taiju are able to safely incapacitate the Joo Dees and Byakuya by carefully trapping them in stone, but Jet is far too quick and nimble. Taiju ends up taking a hit for Jet, causing Senku and Yuzuriha to freak out, and the group retreats using Senku’s smoke bombs as cover. Appa also shows up, having been freed by Zuko.
In an abandoned warehouse, the team (plus Byakuya) recovers, with Senku and Byakuya treating Taiju’s wounds since they don’t trust that the Dai Li won’t be waiting for them at the hospital (Taiju is really sturdy anyway and isn’t too worse for wear). Sokka reviews the paperwork they stole and Aang wants to go directly to the Earth King with the information. Senku however disagrees strongly with that plan.
Senku basically says that the Earth King is too heavily guarded by the Dai Li and might not be able to help them, and that’s if he’s not directly involved with the Dai Li’s corruption themselves. The team then agrees that it might not be the wisest plan. That’s when Senku proposes his own plan - kidnap the Earth King. This seems like even worse of a plan, but Senku points out that even if the King is on the Dai Li’s side, the Dai Li can’t stir up too much of a fuss about his disappearance without ruining their “perfect city” image, and they need the king to prove their legitimacy. By threatening the king, they can bargain for Long Feng to send assistance to the war effort.
Also in the paperwork pile is Guru Pathik’s message to Aang, and the letter to Toph. Aang decides that’ll be his next course of action once they figure out this Ba Sing Se thing.
One very stressful stealth mission later and King Kuei is successfully kidnapped. However, the young king quickly turns out to be completely unaware of the Dai Li’s actions, until they present the incriminating paperwork with Long Feng’s signature all over. Additionally, the gang shows Kuei how horrible the poverty in the Lower Ring is, as well as the long list of missing women stolen away to be Joo Dees.
Kuei is initially very annoyed at being kidnapped, but quickly comes to understand that the situation is rather serious. However, when they attempt to return to the palace, they find that the Dai Li have installed a lookalike pretending to be Kuei in his place, calling the real Kuei an imposter and putting a warrant out for his (and the collective Gaang’s) arrest for attempted murder. Since few people actually know what Kuei looks like, it would be rather hard to prove Team Avatar’s case.
What will the Gaang do next? Tis a mystery (that I have not written yet)

For the dr.stone x atla crossover I feel that even if Hyoga is or was a soldier in the fire army he wouldn’t have liked the idea of a nations worth of centuries of knowledge pasted down through generations being wiped of the face of the earth.
I just had a thought Hyoga could be a soldier in the fire army but he could also be a master instructor at his own dojo he inherited from his master kinda like master Piandao. He’s still a fire bender though.
Also I think I would be a cute and funny plot twist if he has a daughter who is still young but old enough to help fight and strong enough to thanks her dad training her. I think he’d be the same tough and cold character he is but he’s surprisingly tender, caring, gental, and kind to her in his own way that would just make the characters in the dr.stone universe jaws hit the floor lol.
Ah, you do have a point with Hyoga likely being disappointed that the knowledge of airbending was lost to genocide - all those ancient techniques would probably be really fascinating to him as a martial artist. Though I can also see him buying into the Fire Nation’s imperialist message of “we are the strongest nation, so we should rule over all the weaker nations.”
I like your idea that Hyoga is a fighting instructor, with his values he’d probably be something like Zuko in skillset - he puts a lot of effort into firebending, but also into spearfighting since he deeply respects the nonbender master who taught it to him. At the same time he has no time for people who either don’t take it seriously or are too weak to make a difference.
(More under the cut because this got long)
Him having a kid is an interesting plot twist and while it’s more twisty than I’d expect, I’m kind of intrigued by the potential it has. Though that also brings up the question of who the kid’s mom is, and when the kid was born (I estimate Hyoga’s age in DCST to be around 20-22). Homura maybe? Like...perhaps Hyoga and Homura were both fairly high class and had an arranged marriage, but while Homura fell in love with him as they grew up together Hyoga only respected her as a friend and fellow fighter.
And then if they had a daughter (maybe pressured by both their parents to produce an heir of some sort) it could make them both more complex characters. If the kid was really strong though I’d lean more towards an Ozai-Azula like dynamic with Hyoga impressing his values of “only the strong and skilled deserve to live,” onto her. Plus if we’re keeping relative canon ages then I’d estimate Homura to be 20, Hyoga to be 22, and their daughter to be 2 by the time Team Avatar shows up in the Fire Nation to do their thing.
However...I can see some potential with the kid turning out physically weak, and that throwing Hyoga’s values into wack.
Let’s say the toddler was born healthy and strong and an assessment by some Fire Sages said that she’d become an extremely powerful bender - this pleases Hyoga, since he can’t imagine having fathered a weak child with him and Homura’s combined firebending ability. And indeed, by the time the kid is two she shows signs of firebending power well beyond her age group, with Hyoga planning to train her into an extraordinarily strong warrior.
Except with such a strong fire at such a young age, the little girl suddenly falls terribly ill, having raging fevers and struggling to breathe. Hyoga’s ideals would tell him that such an ill child will die, and that’s that, the weak and ill perish while the strong survive. But he finds himself insisting that the kid will survive, because she’s strong, she has to survive. She’ll recover and become the strongest firebender this side of the Nation, not die a weakling.
Some time later, the Gaang shows up to Hyoga’s town to resupply. Pre-Zuko joining but maybe somewhere between meeting Piandao and encountering Combustion Man? Aang decides to visit the local firebending dojo (rip Sokka’s nerves) because hey, he wants to see some firebending techniques from actual benders, and he can tooooootally handle staying low key this time, honest! He encounters Hyoga and gets a fair bit intimidated by him, though Hyoga seems to approve of “Kuzon’s” highly adaptive martial arts style.
At some point, a messenger comes and Hyoga slips away. Being nosy, Aang follows them and catches enough of the conversation to determine that there’s a sick kid living in that fancy mansion, and relays his concerns to the Gaang. Katara immediately wants to investigate further - Sokka is again very stressed but understands that he can’t stop his sister once she’s made a decision (plus this is post Painted Lady and Katara is even more determined not to let children suffer if she can do anything about it). But when she tries the front entrance, the guards won’t let her in, even when she says she’s a healer. In fact, they deny that there’s a sick child at all, while Aang insists he didn’t hear wrong.
So Aang and Katara, ever the problem solvers, break into the mansion (airbending is super useful!) and find the kid’s bedroom. Katara assesses the patient - she determines that even with her waterbending, the kid will likely suffer from complications her whole life due to the damage she’s already sustained. Hyoga suddenly appears, asking them how they got into his house (he’s actually very curious, since they seemed to enter silently and without alerting anyone). When Katara excuses herself and says she’s a healer from the colonies (Aang’s explanation for how Katara has “special healing techniques unlike any other”) and just wanted to help, Hyoga says that he doesn’t need a healer, and that the girl will recover soon. Katara starts to argue and Hyoga starts insinuating that he could easily beat her in combat, when Homura shows up, pleading with Katara to save her daughter.
Hyoga and Homura start arguing, with Homura saying this may be their last chance and Hyoga saying that a true daughter of his would be able to fight off the sickness alone. Homura eventually asks if he’d rather have a dead daughter than a weak one, which makes him go quiet (Aang and Katara are standing there awkwardly watching all of this). Hyoga then calmly says that since they seem to be at a standstill, the reasonable course of action is an Agni Kai (Aang goes pale at this, while Katara doesn’t actually know what that is).
In the courtyard the Gaang watches anxiously as Hyoga and Homura begin their duel, which results in quite a few impressive displays of firebending. Homura however seems to be holding back slightly, more on the run than attacking. At one point Homura gets thrown on her back and nearly burnt, but Katara calls out to her, saying she has to win for the kid. She gets back up and starts attacking Hyoga with renewed resolve, and even Hyoga is surprised.
Hyoga realizes that as loyal as Homura is to him, she really is doing her best to win, even coming at him with direct shots of flame now. And since this is still Hyoga, he respects that deeply - she’s doing things “properly,” even though she doesn’t want to. He even respects that Katara was so dedicated to her role as a healer that she broke into his house just on the mere mention that there was a sick child there.
And in the very bottom of his heart, despite all the talk of strength and weakness and who deserves to live, he has a hard time realizing that he doesn’t want his daughter to die, even if it means she’ll be weak and reliant on others her whole life. This might be a little OOC for canon Hyoga, but hey, it’s an au and maybe if canon Hyoga did have something small and weak to protect, he’d be less of an ass to Senku and company.
So at a key moment in the battle, Hyoga pauses for a split second instead of dodging a blast from Homura and allows himself to be grazed on the chin, reminiscent of his revival scars in canon. It’s not a bad burn, and those watching closely realize that he let her win. Hyoga turns to leave, only saying that Katara will be compensated for her healing services and that they truly did things “properly.”
Katara heals the girl, saying that the fever is gone but her lungs are damaged and she’ll have breathing problems from now on. She’s paid a small sack of gold by a servant that she initially refuses, but takes in the end since it’d probably be good to have extra Fire Nation currency on hand. The Gaang leaves the mansion feeling...a little conflicted about the experience, honestly.
Meanwhile as Homura sits by the girl’s bedside Hyoga appears in the doorway, having treated his burn from the duel. An awkwardly long silence passes before Hyoga says he’s been thinking about the skills that "Kuzon” and “Sapphire” displayed, and that he’s considering buying a home in the colonies so he can learn about those types of skills (since Aang claimed they were from the colonies). He turns to leave, but not before offhandedly saying that the seaside air in the colonies he’s looked at might be good for their daughter’s lungs.

Dr. Stone/Atla AU pt. 1: The Little Water Dragon
Story beats for a fic in the works by yours truly, though you could always wait until I get around to publishing it so as to avoid spoilers.
Ryusui Nanami is born to the Nanami family of the Northern Water Tribe. His father is a cousin of Chief Arnook, making Ryusui and Princess Yue second cousins. When Ryusui is four he discovers that he is a waterbender, much to the delight of his family.
When Ryusui was five, his cousin Princess Yue was born, though it quickly spread throughout the palace that the newborn infant was sickly and may die. When Yue was saved by the Moon Spirit, there was much rejoicing and a grand party was held in celebration of the princess, where young Ryusui gave an excited greeting to the baby in her cradle.
Ryusui begins his waterbending lessons at age six, training with Master Pakku, though the hyper little boy gets on Pakku’s nerves a lot. One day due to his mischief and experimentation with advanced moves that Pakku told him he was too young for, ten year old Ryusui injured himself and was sent to the healing huts, where he met Yagoda. Amazed to see waterbending healing for the first time, Ryusui thanked Yagoda and asked if she would teach him healing, but was told that boys can’t learn healing and girl’s can’t learn fighting. Ryusui was confused, and eventually concluded that a true master waterbender would know the arts of both combat and healing. He thus decided to ask Pakku to teach him healing. When Pakku dismissed it as ridiculous and “unbecoming of a man” to learn women’s work, Ryusui became frustrated.
Soon after though, he’s approached by some of the waterbender girls from the healing huts, who offer to teach him healing in exchange for him teaching them combat waterbending. Thus starts Ryusui’s secret training along with a group of girls who eventually become good friends of his.
When Ryusui is 12, one of his and Yue’s older cousins becomes betrothed, but doesn’t seem to be happy about it. Ryusui asks her what’s wrong, since he thought that girls liked falling in love and getting married. His 16 year old cousin says that she didn’t want to get married just yet, and that her fiancé is a stranger to her. At the wedding Ryusui notices that his cousin has a sad expression on her face, and decides that if he gets married it will be to someone who wants to marry him.
By the time he turns 21, Ryusui is one of the best benders in the entire tribe, but his flamboyant personality causes his family to be rather annoyed with him. Ryusui is a bit of an oddball - though he is a master bender and has hundreds of Northern forms memorized, a lot of his techniques involve improvising and combining moves in unique ways, utilizing his innate sense of the water’s movement. From his secret study Ryusui has also become very skilled in healing, though he wasn’t able to practice on actual people.
Ryusui’s friends/students from the healing huts total to about a dozen young women and teenagers, all of whom have become strong combat benders in their own right through his secret tutoring. As a promising young bender and member of the nobility, Ryusui is considered prime son-in-law material and his parents really want him to get married, but somehow he manages to keep pissing off any potential in-laws, thus avoiding all marriage proposals.
Ryusui attends the banquet celebrating the arrival of Avatar Aang and their kin from the Southern Tribe. Afterwards he goes to meet them, loudly introducing himself and saying that as someone who desires to be the master of all waterbending, he would like to learn their Southern waterbending forms. Katara is a bit intimidated by his personality, but agrees, saying they could exchange techniques in the morning when they meet Master Pakku.
Ryusui’s face falls when he hears them mention his master and explains that Pakku will never agree to train Katara. Aang suggests that perhaps he’d be more open to a request from the Avatar himself, but Ryusui says the old man is hopeless. He then advises Katara to find Sifu Yagoda before bidding them goodnight.
The next day after a rather unpleasant encounter with Pakku, Katara furiously heads over to the healing huts to find Yagoda. After the healing lesson, Yagoda reveals that Katara’s grandmother Kanna was Northern, and points her in the direction of Ryusui’s secret training grounds.
Aang and Katara visit the location late at night, where they find Ryusui and a handful of teenagers and young women practicing waterbending forms, much to their surprise. Ryusui spots them and introduces Katara as “our sister master of the Southern style,” which Katara says is flattering but a bit of an exaggeration. Ryusui reveals that for years they have been training and planning for an opportunity to show off their skills to the Chief in the hopes of convincing him to change the rule about gender segregated bending styles, and that Katara and Aang’s assistance might be the last push they need.
When the group of waterbenders goes to confront the Chief, an uproar is sent up, with Pakku declaring that Ryusui has sullied the sacred art of waterbending by learning healing and teaching combat bending to women. Ryusui shoots back that he and his sister benders have become strong waterbenders not because they wish to defile the sacred arts, but because they love and appreciate all types of bending and the knowledge passed down from the ancestors. Katara ends up starting a fight with Pakku, which culminates in a free for all where the women waterbenders demonstrate their skills, using Ryusui’s uniquely adaptive style.
When Pakku traps the benders in a hail of icicles and starts to walk away, Ryusui nods to Katara and the benders melt the ice to form a podium that raises Katara and the women high up so they can address the gathered crowd.
Katara and the other women deliver a speech about how the Water Tribes have lost their way during the war. The tribes are meant to symbolize the love and community that keeps hope in people’s hearts in times of change and turmoil, but the Southern Tribe has fractured, their spirits broken from the endless war. In order to reunite the tribes and defeat the Fire Lord, should not the Tribes embrace change as water itself does? Water is the element of change, after all. Women are not only good for healing, and men are not only good for combat. Each individual knows their own capabilities best, and not allowing the power of choice limits their ability to fight against the Fire Nation.
Their display is compelling, but Chief Arnook still looks reluctant to change such an old tradition. Yue however stands up and asks if she can say a few words. Arnook allows it, and Yue points out that if the Avatar were to incarnate into the Northern Water Tribe as a woman, would the sages dare tell her that she was not to learn bending, to not claim her spiritual destiny? Aang himself says if anyone likes, he could probably call up a female waterbender past life of his to add her perspective. Chief Arnook sees the logic in the argument, while Pakku is forced to admit defeat.

LMAOO yea no problem. idea droughts victimize us all at one point </3 to be a bit of help though, might i interest you in some of my thoughts for the atla au?
re-scrolling back, i saw that your ryusui and hyoga stories are pretty much solid already, and so your third most recent post was for our boy ukyo!! usually, i'm not really one for canon/oc romance either, but oh my god the idea you presented is way too good of a plot point to pass up.
i imagine that a good character type to fit the bill is maybe a girl who's the human personification of ">:D" if that makes sense??? someone energetic, talkative, and steadfast in contrast, but not completely opposite him.
picture this: he's hopping between small earth kingdom villages, laying low (as fire nation defects supposedly do), and one day while out buying food in the latest town he moved into, he picks up... music a few streets across? turns out there's some girl about his age playing happy tunes on a little instrument and laughing with the neighboring kids.
and it amazes him, it really does. ukyo has seen firsthand before just how bad the war is—the blood, the torn apart families, the discrimination and class separation; why else would he have risked his butt to get out of the military? and yet this girl is here, grinning and chatting up a stranger about how much kids love this specific melody. naturally, he initially thinks she might just be naive, but after getting to know each other, he learns that that's far from the case. she's like this in spite of being impoverished and away from her brothers who were forced to fight; to her, living with a smile is a final war cry to the fire nation that they will not destroy whatever's left of the only home she has.
and so over time he realizes just how much she reminds him of the value of all the little things in life. whenever she snorts at a vendor's lame joke, or when she bounces on the toes of her feet when a turtleduck flock passes, or when she shakes him by the shoulders because "you can ACTUALLY hear that?? that's so cool!!", his heart flutters and he feels so normal, even for just a moment. despite the war and all he's gone through, he feels that he's finally found some string of hope—of happiness.
but he knows he can't stay. he knows better than to put somebody else in danger for selfish reasons. that's why before it can pain him any more, he decides to leave for the next village.
and then the avatar and his gaang arrive to restock on supplies.
can't really think of other details right now lol so that's kinda it! hope that helped spark something for your creativity :)

Oh you’re Plant Pot Anon! So sorry for the hiatus, I love these ideas! Atla is one of my favorite pieces of media for all the themes about war and colonialism that manage to come across in such a fun, child-friendly (enough) show, and this hits the spot excellently!
It’s been months but I still haven’t given up on the atla au, though right now my Fem!Sora au has my attention. I might post my other notes about it if people are interested though! Like I have a whole Thing for how the Gaang meets the dcst Childhood Friends Trio that I haven’t released to the public yet.

Bird’s Writing Ideas
Summaries of some of the dcst AUs and other fanfic concepts I’m “working on,” or at least just have a google doc going for. Feel free to send me an ask if you want to hear more about any of them :P
No Stone Wars AU
Terrible name, yes, so sometimes I call this the “Delayed Lions AU.” I am not good at titling things. It’s an AU where Yuzuriha was successfully brought back to camp and revived instead of Tsukasa, and then the lions show up. Working together though, our heroes do manage to scare the lions away for the time being, and Tsukasa doesn’t end up getting revived until way later. Essentially it’s an excuse for me to write a civilization-building story where Senku carries out his plans as he intended before the whole Stone Wars shenanigans happened. Senku does still find Ishigami Village (he has to go to Hakone eventually to collect sulfur) but he’s not nearly as concerned about, ya know, getting murdered. Could be really boring for some people, but like I’ve said I LOVE the civilization building parts of DCST and this is my jam. I did way too much math for this one.
Fem! Senku AU
Exactly what it says on the tin. Tentatively titled “Ishigami Senku: Girl Genius.” I’ve left it ambiguous so far whether Senku is cis or trans, but either way this one is great for exploring how Senku’s decisions and character (and those around her) might be affected by Senku being a girl. For instance, this Senku is more used to being underestimated and patronized than canon Senku and has a slight compulsion to wanting to prove herself, which is in conflict with her desire to surge ahead without caring about what others think of her. Her hair also obeys gravity a little more and she wears it in a ponytail, and she’s a little closer to Yuzuriha than in canon (though Taiju is still her oldest and best friend). I’ve had a few problems with hashing out the plot for this one since I don’t want it to perfectly match canon but I also want it to keep some key story nodes, and the butterfly effect makes it tend to veer wildly off into various directions.
Mermaids AU(s)
I have like, three of these because I couldn’t decide how to go about it and just wanted to write something with mermaids. I like fantasy.
Senku and Taiju are young mermen living in an underwater kingdom, and Senku’s fascinated with the above world, spending his days studying humans and their inventions and trying to come up with something that could allow him to go on land. But then one day something turns the whole Sea Kingdom into stone statues, and it’s up to Senku to venture out into the human world in search of a cure. Lower on my interest scale because most of the story wouldn’t take place among the mermaids.
Inspired by ao3 user Luki’s story Flock where soon after revival petrified humans sprout wings. In this case though, Senku realizes that he’s somehow becoming partially aquatic, only instead of being full on mermanified he ends up more like...mermaids in the Sims 3? Where he has to stay constantly hydrated to survive and his legs turn into a tail when submerged in water. I like this one a lot, actually.
H2O: Just Add Water AU. There was this Australian tv show I used to watch at my friend’s house when we were like...seven, about these three girls who after a strange encounter realized that ten seconds after coming in contact with water, they would turn into mermaids. I’ve tweaked that concept a lot but basically this AU is Senku, Taiju, and Yuzuriha taking the place of the three main characters, and also they’re in Japan instead of Australia, for obvious reasons.
A Single Act of Kindness
AU where 12 year old Tsukasa is rescued from the old man on the beach by another, friendlier old man, one with grey hair with dark tips and red eyes. That’s it, that’s the whole concept. Probably gonna be a oneshot.
Future/Next Gen
Not an AU, but basically a bunch of (very theoretical and self indulgent) ideas I have about the Kingdom of Science post defeating Why-man. All of them stem from a concept I had where Senku finds a protege in Taiju and Yuzuriha’s third oldest child, a girl named Yurika (which is a legitimate girls’ name but Senku was the one who named her and meant it to sound like Eureka! on purpose, as if saying he wished for her to have a life full of discovery. He’ll deny thinking that much about it though). Most of the stories I have in this concept are about Yurika’s teen years, with Senku in his forties.
Suika in Wonderland
Just a funny idea I had where Suika falls asleep to Ukyo telling her an “old British children’s story,” one summer afternoon and finds herself in a strange world where a lot of the bizarre individuals she meets look oddly like some of her friends.
ATLA AU
Recently I did a little speculative thing for this in this post, and I liked it enough to write it down into a more fully fleshed out concept. Story 1 is going to be about Ryusui growing up in the Northern Water Tribe and him meeting the Gaang when they arrive at the end of Book 1, while Story 2 is going to be about Senku and his friends uncovering the Dai Li conspiracy in Ba Sing Se and teaming up with the Gang when they arrive in Book 2. Story 3...well I’d like to do something regarding the Fire Nation characters, so maybe something to do with Amaryllis.

Oh geez I’m so flattered by how much you’re enjoying my content lmao! I’m in a bit of an ideas drought right now (that’s why I haven’t been posting as constantly), but I’m still very much invested in Dr. Stone and your enthusiasm really gets me excited to work on the atla au and hopefully put something up for the AU on my ao3 soon (soon being relative lol). Thank you for the follow!
