I told myself I wasn’t gonna do any angst but I am not a ghoul of my word apparently.

Today’s prompt was to do either Prospit and Derse, or to do Dream Bubbles. I went with dream bubbles and specifically the Dave and Karkat from the Game Over timeline. Low key it’s a bit of a shame that we don’t see what happened with Karkat after Game Over. Like yeah I know he fell into lava but like does a player not get to become a ghost if their body was destroyed? Did ghost Karkat manage to crawl out of the lava pit or did he just manifest back up on the platform? Or maybe this was answered and I just forgot. Who knows?

im not good at angst HUH , this takes place in my own version of Earth C life.

Basically, Karkat has decided he doesnt want to get rejuvenated anymore after Grubkat's (not decided the name yet shh) 5th wriggling day. He wants to grow alongside her, enjoy every moment together even if that means he has to die someday, besides he never felt the need to be inmortal anyway. Dave gets fucking PISSED in the beggining, saying he can keep him happy for eternity but ends up accepting Karkat's wish because its the best for him, he doesnt want to see his most loved one suffering when the family gets smaller (if you know what I mean). He suffers every time Karkat's wriggling day comes, its a reminder on how little time they have left. He enjoys the minutes as if they were the last ones, push his sadness to the side to give his family the biggest smile.
