an idea for dark keiwa and keiwa/ace... jyamato side ace! ace gets tired of playing to find answers so he decides to dismantle the dgp to find them but since the dgp is the power that made keiwa's wish possible... he fights against ace and might even kill him!
Omfggg yessss that's such a good idea.
Because I remember having a similar discussion with another friend on twitter.
But like Keiwa loves Ace, he really does. But that doesn't mean he will forgive him. After all that the normal Keiwa but he's not the same naive boy.
He would take care of Ace nicely and treat him so sweetly so Ace has to be secretive about it.
But Keiwa knows him better than that and he tries to talk him out of it at first, he's so sweet too. Promises him everything but when Ace doesn't budge, he drops the act and they fight.
(lot of sexual tension in the fight but like in a scary way)
Until finally Keiwa is on top of Ace choking him, he gives him a last way out but Ace is too stubborn for his own good. And so Keiwa sighs and snaps the neck.
He's sad about losing Ace but that's fine, DGP is still there, he can get himself another one. One who can behave well.
It's not the first nor the last time he has done this, because no other Ace is good enough. And the one he originally fell for is long gone.
(this isn't the same idea but ohhh I cant get this out of my head now)

if they don't give us a corrupted Keiwa arc I'm gonna be so disappointed. The set up for it right now is perfect!

Keiwa is Kagami in that he is by the book and he means well and every bit of his energy says in another show he could be the hero, but he does not enter with the STRENGTH to match, overtaken by someone strong but strange (and dedicated to a path based on the family he lost young). Keiwa is Kagami in that the universe seems to have it out to get him but he finds a way to push on anyways and that strength gains him the respect and power he needs. Keiwa is Kagami in that it takes him to time to extricate himself from a system that doesn’t truly work because he’s helping people however he can. Keiwa is Kagami in that he loves his sibling dearly and he works as hard as he can and he is so very human. But so very good.
Keiwa is Kiba in that he is so very human, too. Keiwa is Kiba in that he tries to do good but he must convince himself that he is right, and does he even really know what that means? Keiwa is Kiba in that things get more complicated and he refuses to see it because if he does it all falls apart so it’s easier to listen to what he is told and believe he is right and it doesn’t MATTER the details people are DYING this is to SAVE PEOPLE! Keiwa is Kiba in that too much faith was put into him and there is darkness and ignorance in his heart and he tries anyways but it will never be enough. Keiwa is Kiba in that no one sees how human he is until it’s too late.

My dark Keiwa thoughts. Or as I like to call him- Ceiwa.
Ceiwa comes from cool Keiwa and will be read the same as Keiwa (just in case you see me simply calling him Ceiwa instead of Dark Keiwa because that's too long)
Anyways getting on with it.
I have two versions of Ceiwa, one is for plot purposes and one for shipping purposes.
We start with the plot purposes Ceiwa.
I don't think dark Keiwa will be any smarter than Keiwa or stronger. He will be the same Keiwa except not naive.
Winning is a priority over saving people
Keiwa is already smart enough, connecting the dots of people being jyamato before others (at least it looks like that)
The only reason he fails is because Ace tricks him and his positive outlook on life making him trust people. Once that's gone, he can definitely give Ace a run for his money.
He wouldn't be as stuck up on destroying all riders and part of me really can't imagine him wanting destruction in any form.
Darkness doesn't always mean opposite. It could simply be that Keiwa would be more selfish about things he needs.
We already have the dark Keiwa image though with Ryuga in all black fit.
Since he's smart enough he would also be tricking people into things, kind of like regular Ace(i have already written about how Ace is a good person at the base of it all check that out if you can find it, I guess) but be more brutal about it.
I could easily see him sabotaging others, maybe even have a , if I can't win neither can you mentality.
His primary desire would be success and comfort. Because we are only changing personality and not back story, you can't tell me it was easy for him or his sister to grow up without parents. So comfort would definitely be a priority.
Tumblr media
Now for the shipping Ceiwa ( I lean more towards KeiAce and a little toward KeiMichi so both will be different too)
With Ace
This is more of a fanfic plot NGL so yeah whatever
I imagine Ceiwa to be a result of Keiwa going through a load of shit and losing everything which makes him finally lose all hope and coming to the current world to regain what is lost
Him coming for Ace because he lost his own Ace.
He's not much different from Keiwa personality wise, he smiles the same and is excited the same but there's just an emptiness in his eyes that Ace notices.
He also has an obvious obsession with Ace that puts the blue streak boy to shame and is willing to do anything.
He plays dgp too and wants to erase the current Keiwa and take his place.
Basically he's a yandere!!!!! I love Yandere Ceiwa!!!!
He would go to great lengths in a fight to be by Ace's side, even if it means hurting others.
All so he can get affirmation from Ace
But when that vocal affirmation goes to Keiwa instead of him, he wouldn't hesitate to hurt Ace
Gonna keep Ace by his side no matter what.
Maybe he even wins, but he couldn't be the Tycoon Ace knows.
That was with Ace, now with my lovely Michi
Now this is actually cool Keiwa, the true Ceiwa. My first version of Ceiwa.
He smiles sweetly but is lower on energy
Definitely no trust at all
His fake smile could easily rival Ace
And it always puts Michi on edge, especially cause he's flirting with Michi even worse than Ace does.
Atleast with Ace, Michi is sure that it's for fun.
But you can't tell with Ceiwa. And maybe even Ceiwa doesn't know.
He's gonna do anything to win, he would even play around with Michi, fuck with him emotionally.
Fuck at one point even discard him.
He's the worst, because he pretends to be nice and it always comes out so well and then bam! You are stabbed in the back.
Will most definitely have stabbed the pink dude for taking his boost buckle in the first place.
But he talks so sweet you can't even resist it.
Well that turned more into something like story time but yes. These are the current unfiltered thoughts. Let me know if you liked them.
I have some more but they clash with these, so maybe a different post for those....

I had been clamoring for a dark Keiwa arc since like Divergence, and oh boi. This was so painful but I fucking love it. Because of course he would try to do the right thing, only to have it be twisted.
And sure it couldn't go well. Even narratively we couldn't award Keiwa with having all his wishes granted, when he did what he had done to get it. Just like the narrative ended up punishing Michinaga for his transgressions too, with throwing the Desire Royale at him and making things even worse again for everyone. What kind of message would it be for kids, if Keiwa would have gotten everything that he wanted, after selling Tsumuri out to be brainwashed and exploited?
And yet, Ace's steadfast belief in him. Ace had considered Michinaga a lost cause before the Desire Royale, only to have his faith in him reawakened when he truly figured out what Michinaga's true goal was. (Not unlike how Keiwa figured out way back that all Ace's "frivolous" wishes were stepping stones for him to get to his mother.)
He wasn't going to give up on Keiwa, and god, I love it. And Michinaga and Neon weren't willing to give up either. Despite everything... despite all of it... Ace reached out to Keiwa, and Michinaga and Neon wished for Keiwa to take that chance just as much. And even Tsumuri did, despite everything.
And Keiwa... Keiwa wants to believe, he wants to trust so much (not unlike how Michinaga begged for it so long ago as well), and maybe... maybe he does now.
Because his own desperate wish resonated together with Tsumuri's and Ace's. They managed to reach each other in the end.
I hope so at least.
I love Geats. I love them so much.

dark keiwa review: extremely funny. i stand by my claim that sato-kun has gotten better at acting this sort of role but turning a man from human-shaped red panda into accursed prince of darkness in the span of 2 episodes is always going to be undeniably funny regardless. the ominous cracking his knuckles thing as if he was asakura doing the neck roll 🤣
starting to wonder if this concept might have worked more smoothly if he was like an outwardly “cheerful villain” instead... who puts on a mask of still being relatively normal until abruptly snapping. but mr takahashi clearly had his heart set on going full crawling in my skin with this one so here we are.

Random taneko fic idea I may write lol
Setting is after Keiwa's rampage is done, but Sara is still MIA
Keiwa is understandably depressed over his sister. He's visibly struggling- obviously not sleeping or eating enough, the apartment is a mess, etc. Basically it's obvious he's not taking care of himself
But he isn't the only one struggling- Neon was also affected by Sara's apparent death. And what's more is that she becomes unsure about how to handle living alone
While Neon is consoling Keiwa, he admits that he doesn't really want to be alone, he feels like his home is empty and maybe he feels he would do something stupid like kill himself
Neon then impulsively offers to let him stay with her for the meantime, at least until he gets himself back together. And in return maybe he can help her learn domestic skills idk. He agrees because he really doesn't want to be alone and he wants to support Neon in his sister's stead
Some time later Ace goes to Neon's to discuss something with her, only to find Keiwa answering her door
He notes Keiwa seems to have been doing better lately, no more dark shadows under his eyes, eats regularly again, more cheerful and sociable etc.
And then he sees the apartment and it's quite clear to him that Keiwa's been there a while. Plus he sees that Keiwa and Neon are clearly comfortable around each other. Domestic, even.
So, Ace being Ace, he teases them about co-habitating when just a few months ago they can't even admit they were together lol (cue frantic denials while Ace laughs like the mischievous kitsune he is)
But yeah they be domestic af- like cooking together (and feeding each other to let the other taste the food), doing chores together, buying snacks and knickknacks the other would like etc.
Also: Neon's trash has a lot of bowls of instant tanuki soba.
If When Sara comes back and Keiwa moves back in with her, he realizes he left something at Neon's place and Sara's like "...Wait, why would you even bring that to her place?" And when Keiwa explains that he lived with Neon for a while Sara goes catatonic with shock lol. "My little brother... and Neon-chan... are like that...?" (cue more frantic denials lol)
When Neon and Keiwa actually get together Ace asks if they're gonna go straight to marriage and living together in domestic bliss once more, since they've already done that anyway

With the conclusion of Keiwa’s Dark Arc. I can say that I fucking hate this arc.
This is a character arc that is so forced that you can see skid marks on the story’s floor.
Why is it forced? I don’t know, maybe because it was so late into the series?
Why is it forced? How about it being so unnatural that the only conclusion was to go this route?
Why is it forced? Because Ace and Neon could have prevented this arc from ever happening if they had just visited Keiwa in his time of need!
But I’m not blaming the characters for their inaction, rather this is the fault of the writer’s fairly inconsistent character writing.
Yes, Yuya Takahashi’s character writing is lacking. Keiwa’s hatred for Mitsume was really unnatural especially after the Grand End happened because the goddess is dead. He keeps blaming the goddess when in fact, if the character writing had been consistent, he wouldn’t have just said “the goddess is dead so there’s no point in joining in”
If the real aim of Keiwa’s Dark Arc was to showcase how weakwilled he is as a person, then killing Sara during the heaven or hell arc would have just done the trick and maybe as he tries to save his sister, he’s blocked by Michinaga.
This would then give chance for Kekera to poison Keiwa’s heart and mind into believing that the goddess was at fault and make him join the Desire Royal, we would then be shown how ruthless of a fighter Keiwa’s become despite not having access to his final form.
I am of the opinion that the Dark Keiwa arc should have happened during the Desire Royal arc because it is the perfect stage. Maybe, Suel could even have givin Keiwa a secret mission to defend him as he tries to enact the Grand End plan.
That is merely an example on what we could have gotten had the character writing and plot coincided and is consistent to how the characters have been written so far.
Really, the only consistent thing in Yuya Takahashi’s writing is his world building. and his fetish at redeeming villainous characters, like if Takahashi was writing for Ryuki, he’d have most definitely redeemed Asakura even after the guy fed his younger brother to his contract monster.

I can’t help but feel the victim blaming is a side effect of the writing.
The game was built around Silver Snow and the fact that as a teacher you have to fight against your former student. The game even ties the hero routes to the Three Poisons, meaning that the attachment Byleth has to Edelgard can potentially lead them down a dark path. But in practice this means the player has to unlock the ability to choose the bad end, meaning that even if they pick Edelgard as their House leader they may not be at the point where Byleth’s decision making process is compromised when they get to the end of White Clouds. This means that “not getting close to Edelgard” is just as effective, if not moreso, than getting close then realizing you need to fight her. If you ignore Edelgard, be it while teaching the Eagles or simply picking another class, you don’t have the option to royally screw things up.
If the player doesn’t care about Edelgard, then the writing doesn’t work and the game fucking knows this. So it tries every trick in the book to make us care. “Isn’t it so sad you have to fight her? Isn’t there some way you could get along? Maybe if you picked her, you could have led her back to the righteous path. She was manipulated, and it’s not like the other parties are all innocent either.”
FUCK. OFF. GAME.
I think one way the game goes wrong is that Edelgard had her fall long before we met her. At the beginning of the game, she’s already at the point where she arranges the assassination of her classmates like a goddamn school shooter and I can’t help but compare this to Keiwa from Kamen Rider Geats.
Keiwa fell. He fell hard and we watched it. He goes from a character who would normally be a lead in this franchise, who calls back to so many past leads, he goes from that to this
youtube
There was foreshadowing, there was how the show wasn’t afraid to call his shortsightedness and occasional holier than thou attitude out, as well as him slipping. His entire story has been building to this. And that’s why people care about him as his sanity deteriorates. We know that before this, even if it was for his sister’s sake, he was a good person before the Kekking frog (seriously, his name is Kekera and he's looking for laughs) orchestrated his fall, turning Keiwa someone do anything for the power of the Goddess in order to create his “ideal” world.
Edelgard, on the other hand, was at this point from the beginning, and the only time we see who she used to be was in Dimitri’s flashback where she was already bossy. The writing would have worked better if it had her journey to villain, rather than expecting the audience to feel bad for someone who was already a villain. Hell, that's what they did for the recruitable Eagles and they're my favorite class.
