Artist sign-ups opening soon!
For those of you who don't know, Invisobang is a collaborative event for authors and artists. Over the course of several months, authors write fanfics and artists create art for those fics!
If you want to connect with other creators in the Phandom, this is the event for you!
How does it work?
Authors begin writing as soon as they sign up. Their goal is to write a fic with 5000 words minimum, although there is no maximum. Halfway through the event, they anonymously submit a profile of their fic.
Using these profiles, artists pick the fics that interest them the most and submit a claim. Mods will pair up authors and artists based on these claims.
During the second half of the event, authors finish their stories while artists make their art.
At the end of the event, participants share their work during posting week to create a big bang of content for everyone to ooh and aah at!
When is it, and how do I sign up?
Invisobang runs from February 14 to September 7. Author and artist sign-ups are staggered, while beta sign-ups are open for the first half of the event. Each role has a Google Form that will be posted when sign-ups open.
Authors: February 14–March 15 (CLOSED)
Betas: February 14–June 15 (OPEN)
Artists: May 16–June 15 (OPENING SOON)
Anything else I need to know?
The event is hosted through the Invisobang Discord. Participants must have a Discord account and be willing to join.
Artists must be able to make visual art or music, although you can make alternative art if your author is interested.
All content must be made new for the event.

Crossover Danuary Week 2024
Crossover Danuary Week is a daily prompt event. Each day has two prompts; a word prompt and a fandom prompt. The idea is that you can either choose a fandom and do the word prompt, or use the fandom to create something without the word prompt, or use both to create something of that fandom with that word prompt.
It will be the week of the 21st and last until the 27th (the last full week of January)
If you want to be @tagged on tumblr when we post announcements for this Event, please DM the Event Blog and I will add you to the tag list.
Create a piece for each prompt, then post them with the tag "#Crossover Danuary Week 2024" (make sure you do this so i can reblog them!)
Make sure to Ping This Blog When You Post.
Tumblrs tags are often wacky. If I do not reblog within 2 days, please tag me or send me a message.
They can be in any art form including writing and stories, music, painting and sculpture.
The general idea is to get people to try writing for new fandoms they wouldn't normally pay attention to, and just get more dp crossovers out there in general.
Continuations of previous crossovers count as well, the goal is to get more content out there :) You can also make fanart for your favorite crossovers.
Questions may be asked to this blog, and will be tagged "#Xover Danuary Q/A"

hey! i've got this DP events folder with most of the calendars transcribed. I've only included events with official prompts, so it includes Phanniemay, Dannymay, and Ectober, but not events like the Holiday Truce or Invisobang. (I've also got newer events all on one document for right now, so if you can't find it, it might be there) .
i like to use previous events for warm ups and prompt ideas so it helps to keep it all organized here. hopefully it will help you as well!

What is Invisobang, and how does it work?
Invisobang is a collaborative event between authors and artists. Authors write a new fic that meets a minimum word count of 5000 words (no maximum). Halfway through the event, artists review anonymous profiles of these fics and select their favourites. Authors and artists are then paired together on a first-come, first-serve basis. While authors finish writing, artist create art for their claimed fic. Everything is posted at the end of the event in a big bang of content.

What do authors need to know?
Minimum word count is 5k; there is no maximum.
Fics must be new, which means no rehashing old material or working on an already posted WIP.
Sequels, prequels, and ideas you've had on the back burner are allowed.
Crossovers are accepted.

Q. Who is allowed to participate?
A. Anyone is allowed to participate! Writers, artists, and creators of all types are welcome to join the event, no sign-ups required.
Q. Do I have to do all of the prompts?
A. Nope! You can do one prompt or all the prompts. You can participate the entire week or only submit something for certain days. The important thing is to have fun!
Q. What kind of works am I allowed to enter for this event?
A. Anything! Fanfiction, art, songs, memes, etc. -- the only limit is that it has to be a DP/DC crossover.
Q. Is there a tag?
A. When you submit your entry (on tumblr or ao3), make sure to tag it #DP/DC WEEK 2022 so that I, and other people, can find it! I'll be reblogging anything with this tag onto this blog.
