The problematic puppy is controversial because he got caught chasing peanuts the pocket squirrel up a tree. Dan and Donna interviewed him about it and when he didn’t say anything back because he’s literally just a dog and can’t talk they were just like “your silence speaks volumes” and that’s when everyone turned on him.

I'm sure the thoughts circulating around my brain can produce something coherent enough for Dan and Donna???
Donna's older, and there's a good four or five years in it. Idk why, she just gives me the Vibes (or maybe I'm thinking that cos Lauren's older than Joey... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
Dan started out on the production crew, but then transferred to full time news anchor a few years in. He used to run one of the cameras on the studio floor
Hatchetfield can't make up their mind, there are regular debates held on socials as to whether Dan and Donna are in a relationship or not. Every time the debate is held, a different side wins
The funniest part about it is they've been married for a good few years, but nobody seems to remember that part because Donna never changed her name professionally
She is, in fact, Donna Daggit-Reynolds, and he is Dan Reynolds-Daggit
Dan was friends with Ed in high school, and the real reason the news has so many stories about Peanuts is because he shared one once and the town went crazy for it, so now he sends Dan as many updates as possible
The reason that Donna takes the lead in reporting is because Dan's not the most confident speaker,. He's known to speak too fast when he hasn't prepared, fumbles his words on occasion, and has come the closest to swearing on live TV
Luckily, they were still showing a news reel when it happened, so nobody but the sound technician caught it
I like to think both of them are completely oblivious to Pamela's little obsession, by a few of the production crew have GOT to know, like, there is absolutely no doubting that at least one cameraman and at least one sound guy know about that weird, almost parasocial crush
Donna doesn't run the socials, but she does play an active part in monitoring them. She knows about the debates, and she also votes in the debates, on whichever side is currently winning
