To the wonderful bakudeku fandom -
Hey guys! This blog has not been as active as it used to be as of late, but this is something I hope to change! Because of our absence, our tracked tag has not seen much use over the past few months. Thus, I wanted to do a quick PSA:
Tag all your wonderful bakudeku-related works as #dailywonderduo, and we’ll reblog it onto the blog!
This is anything at all, so long as it’s yours. Fanart, fanfiction, edits, memes, analysis - whatever floats your boat. The fandom has seen some great creations, and I hope this blog can boost them!
Thank you!

Overflow [Part 1]
Summary:
After a gruesome fight, Izuku takes on some major full body injuries that take more time than anybody would have expected to heal.
Twin Stars Week Day 4: Summer Storms | Injury/Wounds
Katsuki sulked in his chair, head drooping low, letting his pale locks cover his face. Everyday that he could, he would show up to the infirmary bed that held the boy in front of him. Everyday he hoped that the nerd with freckle speckled cheeks would flutter open his emerald pupils and look at him. He wished that the boy would tell him he’d be okay, so he could tell him to be quiet and save his strength, and he would comply. It would be reluctant but he knew he would comply. Everyday he was met with the same shut eyes and slow breath, contrary to the bright eyed boy he’d grown familiar to for so many years. Everyday this room would meet Katsuki with silence and everyday he would let hushed tears fall to match.
“Deku...” His lungs allowed him just enough air to whisper his name.
He cleared his throat.
“Deku.” He was louder this time, it was an attempt at more conviction. “It’s me, Kacchan. L-listen, nerd. You’ve had your fun, yea? You can’t become the number one hero if you let yourself be stuck in this bed. Y-you need to get up and sh-show these extras how it’s done.”
He choked back tears.
“Deku.” Desperation coated his vocal chords. It startled him for a moment when he heard it. He shut his eyes. “You need to be out there b-beating bastards up with everyone else. You need to be out there with me. Dammit, I miss hearing your s-stupid rambling about whatever the hell you were thinking of.” He intended his words to be stronger but his lips betrayed him. The quivering worsened with each syllable. “I miss your annoying need to improve, to be b-better. It made me want to, too, but now...” He sniffled loudly.” There’s no r-reason for me to keep getting stronger if you’re s-stuck here like this. The world needs you out there again, Deku.” He gasped suddenly and quickly covered his mouth. Tears streamed down his face as he continued his lament.
“I need you...”
He drew a slow breath and forced his eyes open. Through dewy vision, he viewed the figure on the bed. Izuku’s face gave no sign of a change in expression. Words spoken meant nothing to the imposter husk whos limbs were heavily wrapped in bandage.
“Well? Aren’t you going to say something?” Katsuki’s voice cracked, but the patient’s breath didn’t falter, didn’t show a fleck of emotion. It was a brutal reciprocal of his usual self, the one Katsuki miserably wanted to see right now. The hollow shell of that boy was the only remnants that he could see of him.
Didn’t this nerd care? Wasn’t he the one who always made Katsuki a priority? The one who always made sure he was alright? But now, Izuku had him crying over him, spilling his guts all over the floor and making a mess with his feelings, and yet, he didn’t even have the nerve to look him in the eyes.
Of course, he realized what a pitiful scene this should’ve look like. Rage blended with the sadness as frustration burned in his heart.
“FINE!” Katsuki shot up from the chair and rushed our of the room. His arm covered the world from his agonzing tears as he ignored the calls of Recovery Girl that warned him of the torrential downpour and stumbled outside.
Water soaked every part of his body, making it cling to his skin. He had left his jacket inside but felt sick at the thought of going back in to retrieve it. For now he just wanted to run back to the dorms, away from the infirmary. Away from the silent room he had spent so long in. Away from him.
